Review: "First Stroke" is a rugged and quite hypnotic electro-house jam. Gorgeously mastered, it appears with remixes from Scratch Massive, who provides the funky house reworking, and Oliver Moldan, who takes the track into darker more minimal waters.

Review: John Acquaviva in Raveline Mag: "This is a very special vinyl, that I received as promo a long time ago but without any infos. I thought it was already released and surely a big hit. But nobody knew this track or the artist. Whenever I play it people come and ask for it, but I could never give any details. So I went to Craft Music and they finally signed it. A real fat beat with a synthetic bass and two giant breakdowns, that rock the house again and again. Now the track finally comes out and everybody now knows artist and title" Swen Weber (aka StormQ) has been producing records since 2001 and also releases on FTW Recordings. Scratch Massive from Paris (MBF Records) adds an amazing funky remix, while German DJ and producer Oliver Moldan take it to the minimal side of things. To thank John Acquaviva for his help, Swen dedicated a new mix especially to him.

Review: Atomizer - creators of ultra-slick fashionable London club NagNagNag - deliver a hard 12" remix package of tracks that have already been causing mayhem. "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is a radical interpretation of Johnny Slut's teen goth pin-up band Specimen's best known hit, whilst Mr. No set his teeth into Atomizer's "Japanese Disco" with seismic results.

Review: Anyone who checked the recent Gomma Italo House Now compilation will know there's a real scene bubbling under in Italy and the latest talent to rise from Milan in the shape of Brioski and Svperfine get the chance to shine on third volume of Codek's Electric Fling series. "Showbiz" seems a perfect fit for In Flagranti's label, all twisted cinematic samples diced up with multiple laser beamed arpeggios over a fist pumping groove prepped for maximum dancefloor effect. Naturally In Flagranti get in on the remix action, turning the arpeggios inside out for a more acidic analogue feel over smudged bass drum throbs. The flipside brings some different sounds with Australian brain surgeons Rio Lobotomy slowing it down and stretching it out, filling the spaces with cowbells and rhythmic groans (very apt given the company) whilst NYC icon Son Of Sound opts for melodic disco boogie flex.

It's time again for R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings to serve up their annual 2412 compilation. It's another fine one in 2021 with fresh and exciting sounds from vital new school artists Bufiman, Roza Terenzi, Carmel & Salomo and DJ Detox. Bufiman opens up with a crunchy cut built on old school samples and crunchy breaks but finished with bright melody. Roza Terenzi then offers her typically unhinged grooves and Carmel & Salomo link for the escapist dream house of 'Like You.' DJ Detox brings the jungle massive on his high energy closer 'Better Days.'

Review: The smart money was always on the ever popular Chromeo dressing up "When The Night Falls", their Solange Knowles infused highlight from last year's album Business Casual, for single release. It arrives in twelve inch format featuring remixes from Hercules & Love Affair outfit on one side and Crowdpleaser on the other. The Hercules effort is big and brash, raw house high on the excesses of the late 80s with shuffling rhythms aligned perfectly with the lesser known Knowles harmonies and some sweat inducing big room stabs arriving at just the right moment. Turbo's Swiss delight Crowdpleaser turns in a mix that plays around with Solange's vocals with brilliant stereo effect amidst a dusty throbbing beat and funked out rhythmic flourishes.

Review: Massive new sampler including all the latest top charted hits from Sébastien Léger and Martijn Ten Velden & forthcoming new monster club hit by Cicada. A must have for everyone.

Review: Sweat It Out Records kicks off their tasty Sweat Sampler series with their first volume, cutting niftily across four exceptionally sweaty bops, spanning tongue-in-cheek deep tech reworks and downtempo disco delights. First off is the dream team of Cid and Havoc & Lawn, whom together deliver a hilariously effective house version of America's 'A Horse With No Name'; this is shortly followed by Saturday Love, Kon and Furious's 'Come Out', a rejigged nu-disco samosa packed with some rare vocal spices; then there's 'Give It To Me' by Marco Lys and Ben Miller, a bass-driven bouncer unafraid of lasershot winddowns, injunctive vocals and risers; and finally, there's Set Mo's 'Could I Be', the anthem of the bunch, whose buildup and drop is alarming, affecting, cumulatively awe-striking.

Review: Elin delivers a remix for late & dark dancefloors while Crowdpleaser likes it more dubby & housy.

Review: "Until Further Notice" is an electro-house stormer that will hit your scull Viking style! It's like having Doctor Who show up at your party just to end up raping and pillaging all in sight.

Review: Continuing their fine vintage of releases in 2011, Tigersushi's attentions cross the English Channel where two generations of music making join forces for the excellent Gravity EP. The names Justin Robertson (here under his Deadstock 33s alias) and Stopmakingme should be familiar to your ears, and this release marks the first occasion they've collaborated together fully - having swapped remixes in recent times as well as releasing a track together for Southern Fried. There's much to enjoy here among the four tracks that straddle the tempos and moods, with the title track the most horizontally leaning and sprawling in its outlook. "Park Drive" is a more elastic, analogue heavy accompaniment, similar in its cavernous treatment of rhythms to a Chicken Lips production and it's matched in the energy gifting stakes by "Oscillate" which operates on a similar level of fun to James Curd's DFA classic. "A Rising Madness" completes this release, aptly titled as it gradually rises from a drum machine heavy intro a surfeit of schizophrenic synth modulations.

Review: Another massive hit coming from the French house movement. Pete Tong is on it as well as the usual big boys.

Review: The original release was a big soulful collaboration between the magic hands of house masters DJ Chus & David Penn and the cute and sensual voice of Concha Buika. These remixes have given the track a more electronic touch but without loosing the fantastic soulful touch of Concha's vocals.

Review: Demeanour brings you 'Keep Pushin' 2208' a Kurd Maverick remix of DJ Pearl and Patric La Funk's 'Keep Pushin'. Played and supported by Bob Sinclar, Roger Sanchez, Judge Jules, Neil Moore, Mousse T, Tune Brothers and many more.

Review: Hailing from the mighty city of Rome, the Truckstop 76th crew started their label simply to publish the sounds emanating from their own machines rather than others. Travelling around Europe by car to sell their first two releases means most of their music is made on the road, and thus inspired by trucks, motorways and long bouts of insomnia. Max Durante is first up on magic release number three, known of course for his works on Plasmek, 7b and Billy Nasty's Electrix Records, on which he appeared with Detroit Electro don Keith Tucker. He has also worked along side Anthony Rother as Netzwerk Europa on Psi49net. Seventysix's "Mo" is one of the highlights of the 12"...a mean acid track with a nod to the early Roman raves, crossing Electro and Techno. "Hot Chocolate" produced by D. Zandry is our favourite cut on the EP. Tight, precise beats laced with short bass stabs and classic old skool vocoders for the true Electro heads.

Review: Accompanying the forthcoming 2xCD compilation 'Collection 01' which will be released in November we present you a deep and dirty taster 12" with exclusive tracks from the compilation as well as a Marcello Giordani track which will only be released on this vinyl edition. On the A-side James, Dirty Flavour once again delivers a deep and mellow house cut with his typical mix of floating strings and solid beats. Similar to his last one on Dirt Crew Recordings, 'Da Ride' proves to be the German master of true NY space house....The first track on the flip is by our good friend and fellow Vodka addict Klas Lindblad (aka Sasse aka Freestyleman), he put a special Detroit orientated track on this compilation and continues were he left us with his marvellous latest Album, 'Made Within The Upper Stairs Of Heaven'. The last track on this EP is by our young Italian talent Marcello Giordani who once again proves that Italo House is not dead. He reinvents this 80s sound with his own typical approach. Modular boogie is a very strong electro house track that will rock the floors....And above all this one is exclusive to this 1000 limited vinyl edition only!!

Review: Freedarich and Stiggsen are back on Freizeitglauben with more dreamy and dubby minimal entertainment. "Moin Moin Basis" has two tracks full of rich textures and subtle melodic seduction to pleasure your senses.

Review: Established in 2020 and operating with a heartfelt passion for electronic music culture, the Amsterdam-based platform Oddysee connects the dots between like-minded music aficionados in their hometown and beyond. Their first ever release starts off with Eva Geist & Steve Pepe, who serve up a low slung dark disco journey on 'We Are Nature Resonator', while Vale Budino of Berlin's Oscillator party provides some neon-lit Italo energy on 'Venus In Crime'. Over on the flip, Panorama Bar resident Massimilliano Pagliara gets the balearic side of things sorted on the euphoric 'Midsummer's Dreams' and Cologne's Christian S delivers a typically off-kilter jam on 'Ghost'.

Review: Gino S and Snake delivers some excellent minimal and hypnotic tech-house on the "Lycaon EP". A filthy and fresh masterpiece, this DJ tool is ready to take the place of the "secret weapon" in your bag. This Notorious Elektro release has already been played by many major DJ's.

Review: Gino S and Snake release "Emulate" on Electrochoc. This is a deep, dark and driving electro tilted club tune getting much love from Sebastien Leger and Chris Lake and gets remixed from "Da Fresh" who provide an even more bleeped up, funked out mix for the Prydz/Angello fans out there.

Review: Dark and quite funky action here that sounds a lot like a mixture of Audiomatique and Andrea Doria styled material. Haito/Stuffit/Mr Wenzel's 'Rock N Roll' takes dark pitched vocals that are twisted as fuck and laces them into a dirty jacking minimal groove that wreaks of Berlin. Very cool underground shit here from Haikai.

Review: New label Klopfgeist kicks off in fine style with some low down nasty tech house styles from Ivan Iacobucci and Stella Fiore. Raw, spooky synth wave is the guiding influence on 'Rock Da Foz', while 'Brigitte' has a dark side electro slant which should go down a storm with lovers of that ghostly old-skool sound. 'What Is Inside?' maintains the mood with more analogue synth tones from beyond the grave, tapping into a vibe as cheeky and playful as it is creepy. This sound is getting major traction right now and Iacobucci and Flore have absolutely nailed it.

Review: Estrela presents its official follow up for the super successful "Miami Spice EP", the "Axis Of Evil EP", a new four track various artist compilation. It features Christopher Just's newest dancefloor smacker, "El Pueblo" and further tunes from Sigfried and Boy, Newbornchristians and Tony Alpha.

Review: In 1984 "Together In Electric Dreams", written by Phil Oakley of the Human League and legendary, pioneering electronic producer, Giorgio Moroder, reached #3 in the UK charts. In 2007 a selection of quality artists that have helped to shape Sunday Best came together to a release a special EP paying homage to the feel-good anthem. This dynamite release is not to be missed.

Review: After a whirlwind first 15 months, Lost My Dog are marking their 10th release revisiting some of the labels biggest tracks with fresh remixes. First up is Julian's mix of "Come On" which keeps the original hook and fuses it with 2020 style beats, a stomping electro tinged bassline and quirky keys. Harold's mix of "Smoketoke" has an old school feel to it with a 90s garage style synths, a deep growling bass, techy flicks and driving beats to carry it all along. Pete's dub of "Everytime" is a chilled out groover with squelchy beats and warm bass. The original vocal parts, crafted into keys, stabs and pads, generate an ethereal mood which peaks as the track descends into an inviting, smooth breakdown. Tommy's take on "Gettin' Serious" rounds things off, giving the track an acid twist; aimed directly at the dancefloor his mix gets down to business from the off with pumping beats and a bassline that does all the work. "The whole EP is large, Julian Sanza remix of Tommy Largo is the top pick. But all of them are amazing" - James Talk, "Julian Sanza mix does it Hot for me on this EP. Review: One of the best French new young producers this year, Loic B has convinced the dance community over the last months with his Moroder-esque hypnotic tech house we remember previously. This year the best seller "Power In Yourself" still in numerous charts & compilations. Much awaited new title from Loic B before the summer "No Wonder". Fresh & catchy dance material to convince a large audience.

Review: French house number featuring a really sweet remix from Crydamore artists Wizzard, which is a kind of techy acidic number with the same sort of effect as the old Global Communication tune "The Way" except a lot fuller sounding and with a lot more going on. Hard to describe but very warm and friendly and well worth checking out.

Review: 'Great Carnival Stuff EP Vol 2' on Great Stuff features a compilation of tracks by Lützenkirchen, Swen Weber, Fergie (produced with Gregor Tresher) and Wehbba. Taken from the Great Carnival Stuff compilation. It's Carnival time all over the world and Great Stuff comes up with its first compilation full of exclusive carnival goodies from their artists and friends. Infected by the groove and spirit of Rio, Venice, Trinidad Tobago, Cologne/Mainz, and Mardi Gras. Eleven artists from all over the world (Wehbba from Brazil, Fergie from Ireland, Florian Meindl from London, Koletzki and Namito from Berlin) produced exclusive tracks for that compilation. And obviously they had to capture the carnival vibe and transform it into an outstanding track. Oliver Koletzki and Swen Weber were in full samba feeling, while Butch was inspired by his hometown carnival in Mainz, Germany and Florian Meindl by Venice, Italy. Other artists like Namito, Nudisco and Stephan Hinz used the percussive aspect of carnival for their track which definitely resulted in a great groove. By the way, Irish techno god Fergie did his production together with Gregor Tresher to make it really great carnival stuff.

Review: Monkey Zoo, together with Hamburg based DJ and producer Swen G, delivers "Digital Summer", another electro-house bomb with slamming beats, a strong bassline and a huge 'hands-in-the-air' break with a nice synthy melody and some filtered strings.

Review: When was the last time you picked up a compilation where every track was memorable and unique, with the artwork to match?
Drawing inspiration from MoWax's legendary 'Headz' compilations, Money Studies introduces the first 'Secret Hangout EP'.
First up, Blu Jemz (under the alias Pocket Checkers with Ter Kahn) delivers the massively catchy club track '2 O'Clock'. This is already
reaching anthemic status in LA (where Jemz is one of the top DJs) and was an instant hit at WMC.
Eggfooyoung, member of the Secret Frequency Crew, contributes 'Up It', a bubbling concoction of Miami Bass, electro and Baltimore
club styles. Finishing up the first side are Turntable Lab Radio hosts Snack & C?fmish, who present the
ultimate crowd pleaser (and MySpace hit), 'Young MD' (which samples the theme from, yes, Doogie Howser! Here comes the ambulance!
The second side takes a stylistic turn with 'Degasse' by another big left coast DJ, The Gaslamp Killer. This is throwback downtempo at its
best: a mean bass loop, hard drums and dark overtones. Next, Blu Jemz makes his second appearance in the Hangout with 'Turn Away.'
This is one of his most edgy productions yet, part afro-beat, part future soul. Whatever it is, play it late at night in a dark basement. Lastly,
established downtempo producer Eliot Lipp (Hefty, Eastern Developments) reveals his new electro style with the well-lubricated 'Slow & Smooth.'

Review: Here comes the first extract from Principles Of Geometry's album "Lazare". "A Mountain For President" is a space hymn with Martians on Juno synths, Jupitarians at the mixing desk and our cosmic prophet Sebastien Tellier on vocals. Review: Brighton Breaks' hot new signings all the way from France, The Projectiles have been causing quite a stir recently. 'Ugly Boy', a mix and match of glitchy hooky funk will certainly give them the title 'one to watch'.

Review: Italian DJ/producer Remo is no newcomer to the international scene and to the Dance Electric label. His "Black Sabrina" track was a massive hit throughout the hottest clubs worldwide. Now he returns to Huntemann's outlet presenting "Mild Steel" alongside his studio mate Max Cassan, with a new project called Sidechainers. The title track is a huge arp-trenched killer with a big melody, stunning and spaced out FX and a dose of Italo.

Review: Soma Records celebrate the release of their two hundredth single with this collection of exclusive tracks from a selection of their key artists, spread across two DJ friendly 12" singles. The Glasgow based label Soma has been releasing quality electronic music for fifteen years now and this bicentennial compilation is a showcase for the diversity of artists they have on their roster. First comes a new track from Repeat Repeat aka Dave Congreve and Mark Rutherford - a scuzzy, twisted techno masterpiece. Next is the 'Mephisto Waltz' from Silicone Soul, which is exclusive to this compilation and is a tough, arpeggiated electro-house workout that will rock the dancefloor. New signing My Robot Friend completes the first 12" with his ultra funky, electro-mutated rework of his 'Hot Action!' track 'I Am The Robot'. With 'Looking North', Slam have created a sublime teaser to their eagerly awaited follow up to 'Year Zero'. A vintage Slam production that has already won favour with James Holden and Laurent Garnier. Alex Smoke presents a deep and compelling techno track that sucks you in from the offset. Funk D'Void has delivered 'Home'. Here he goes for the classic Funk D'Void sound with a driving, melodic techno cut that is packed with soaring strings and crystal beats. Also available on CD as a full length album, featuring extra tracks by Vector Lovers, Mirror Music and The Separatists. Review: In the new EP we can find three new tracks focused on the dancefloor. The a-side track "Retronouveau" shows us some heavy stuff, offering a melodic song, with a powerful rhythmical section, a rocking dancefloor bass and amazing keyboard lines. The first cut on the b-side is a heavy track with magic keyboards. Finally, we got the second cut on the b-side that was created thanks to the fusion of two: Retronouveau and Monomachine. It's a minimal house track and the main characteristic is his demolishing rhythmical section which never stops changing.
