MIDI Control Center

Use the Midi Control Center to customize your MiniLAB. You can change the Velocity curves (keyboard and pads), the Knobs acceleration, the Pedal input type and polarity, the Message types with their Min and Max values, the MIDI Channels, and much more. Shape the MiniLAB exactly the way you need it to be.

Switch MIDI Channel - Shift + a key with a number above it will change the MIDI Channel.

Hold a note - When engaged, every note played will be held. Playing new notes will replace the previously held notes.

Chord mode- Shift + Hold will activate "Chord mode". Then, just play one note and it will play the full chord with the pressed note as the root note. You can record a custom chord by keeping Shift + Hold pressed while entering up to 16 notes.

Transposition - Transpose the whole keyboard by octaves or semitones by pressing Oct or Shift + Oct.

Transport Control - While pressing Shift, you can use the corresponding pads to Play, Stop, Record, Loop, and tap the tempo.

Arpeggiator mode - Shift + Pad#1 engages/disengages the Arp. Long press Shift + Pad#1 to enter the Arp settings. Then use the 8 knobs or the main encoder to set the Arp as you please.

Hold + Chord + Arp - Can be activated at the same time, allowing you to keep the Arp running while tweaking the parameters of a preset.

Pad banks - Shift + Pad#2 toggles between Bank A and B).

Programs - Shift + Pad#3 cycle through the programs. Arturia and DAW programs will automatically connect to any Arturia Software or DAW if there is one open on the computer. You can create and add some User Programs to customize the MIDI CCs, notes, pad colours etc.

Arturia Program - use the main encoder to browse through presets. Press the Main encoder to select a Preset. Long Press the main encoder to like/unlike the Preset. Shift + Main encoder will browse through Types. Select one, and then browse through the filtered presets.

DAW Program - use the main encoder (turn or click), and "Shift + the main encoder" (Shift + Turn and Shift + Click) to access different features depending on the connected DAW.

This all-rounder has 16 gridless push-encoders, 7 function buttons and a large OLED-display. Encoders are switchable to 16 groups that allow controlling a total of 256 control parameters per setup. The display shows the current values of all controls or editable encoder/group/setup names. Various kinds of MIDI commands are possible, like program change, pitch bend, aftertouch, NRPN, and control change in relative and absolute mode with different acceleration amounts. All these properties are easily and efficiently programmable on the device, allowing personalized customisation for each separate control.

The encoders can work as high resolution 14bit controllers too (NRPN, control change or pitch bend). This makes them suitable for sensitive parameters like resonating filter cutoffs, etc.

DJ Tech Tools focused this release on implementing some community feedback and fixing the connectivity issues that disabled online firmware updates in the past. Be aware that since 2.85 and previous releases can't go online you won't be notified via the app that an update is available. Future firmware and utility updates will work fine moving forward.

In order to use this software plug in your Midi Fighter directly to your computer via USB (DO NOT USE A USB HUB) and follow the onscreen instructions in the utility. You'll be prompted to update your firmware as new firmware updates are available. If no new firmware updates are available, it's time to use!

The most playable knob controller around.

Each knob doubles as a super powerful button. Turn the encoders to control a parameter in any software and twist their built in buttons to quickly reset the knobs or turn effects on and off. This means each knob is like 3 knobs.

The heart of the Twister are the 16 "Endless Encoders". These are very powerful knobs that don't have a start or ending point. Instead the LED rings show you the position of the knob. This means that the controller and the software are always in sync, even when changing banks, racks or songs on the fly.

The Twister allows for deep customization of every knob across all 4 banks with 5 killer features not found on any other controller. Change LED color, transform an encoder into a DJ filter, enable fine midi control, toggle a parameter on/off, or setup a "shift" knob so pressing a push-encoder activates control of a secondary function

The Midi Fighter twister was designed with producers in mind. We need compact, reliable controllers that are easy to map to our DAW's. The endless encoders respond to the software so everything is always in sync, even when playing back recorded automation.

The knobs not only control your typical volume, pan and FX send controls but they also enable a host of quick access to deeper control - only available on the twister. For example, push the encoder to send out a fine resolution range and dial in the exact EQ setting you want. Release and return to normal range control.

You need to be able to react to the dancefloor. Having a dedicated controller is just like being a practiced instrumentalist. Once you have a idea, you can just make it happen as soon the inspiration hits.

*** Firmware update June 2023 ***

If you just bought your Midi Fighter Twister or haven't used the utility in a while chances are you might need to update it's firmware with the latest and greatest. This is a fairly straightforward process as long as you take some extra precautions.

1. Download and install the MF Utility if you don't have it already on your computer (PC/Mac).

2. After you check that any other MIDI related applications (Ableton, Traktor, etc) are closed connect your Twister directly to your computer and open the MF Utility. DO NOT USE A USB HUB

3. Click on "File>Export Settings" and select a destination, this will back up your Twister's settings if you have customized your Twister beforehand and make sure you export it outside of the "Midi Fighter Utility" folder since your OS might lock this location and prevent the MFS file from being generated successfully. If you just got your Twister you can skip this step.

4. If a new firmware is available for your device you should see a message in the utility as soon as your device is detected.

5. Click on the orange UPDATE FIRMWARE button and accept the pop up message warning you not to use a USB hub.

6. Once this process finishes your device will reboot and the MF Utility will now show it has successfully updated the firmware!

Any plugin that presents its parameters for automation in Logic Pro, can be controlled from Panorama CS12. That includes Logic Pro's own plugins and any AU plugin hosted in Logic Pro.

Plugin Slot Selection

CS12 control insert plugins like no controller has ever done before. The 8 plugin slot select buttons are illuminated when plugins are present in the first 8 slots and the top button toggles between slots 1-8/9-16. Press a button and control the insert plugin immediately. Press another button and now control that plugin.

Control Any Parameter NOW

Control any parameter by simply clicking on it. The 100mm ALPS fader immediately jumps to the clicked parameters position and you take over from there. The fader or pan rotary, can be used to control any parameter in the currently selected Logic Pro channel, at any time.

Activate the Select button and the motorized fader now controls any parameter you click. Any mixer channel, instrument or insert effect plugin parameters. Click, control, click control. Super easy.

Precision control at 10x resolution

14 bit control resolution is not limited to the motorized fader. With the Fine button (magnifier icon) enabled each of the 12 pots control at 14 bit resolution. In practice this means you'll be able adjust parameters with the same fine grained values available through your plugins UI or up to 10 x regular control resolution.

With 9 encoders, 9 push buttons and a 4 way joystick, switchable between 16 MIDI channels to provide up to 144 virtual encoders, 144 virtual push buttons and 16 virtual joysticks, the Killamix Mini is a USB MIDI Controller designed to work with DAWs that can "learn" MIDI assignments.

A single press of one of the 9 encoder knobs will select any MIDI channel from 1 to 9, (or pressing two knobs selects channels 10-16) LEDs indicate which MIDI channel is currently active.

The encoders also 'remember' where they were when they were last used on that channel and display their position on the ring of LEDs around each knob, so you can change channel without fear of data jumps.

The self-centering joystick sends information on the currently selected MIDI channel. It can be set as either two controllers (19 & 20) with centre position value 64; as 4 controllers (19 to 22) with centre value as zero; or as 4 switches, sending value 127 at its extremes on controllers 19 to 22, depending on direction.

The 9 push buttons send data on the selected MIDI channel and can 'remember' their on-off status, which is shown by internal LEDs. Each button can be set as one one of three modes - on only, on and off, or toggle.

You can enable controller update mode so that information changed on your computer will update the values stored in the Killamix Mini.

With the 9 channels available at the push of a single knob, you effectively have 81 endless controllers and 81 buttons at your fingertips in a very compact unit. (or 144 at the push of two knobs together).

Notes: EN16 is made for fine-tuning enthusiasts: this Grid module offers 16 velocity sensitive incremental encoders with infinite rotation and mappable push functionality.

Create separate actions by left and right rotation or add distinguished commands with push rotation. Map banks to the same control or switch immediately from one command to another in just a second using only one module. Unlock potential through the Grid Editor with coarse or fine settings.
