Review: Ukraine's Black Loops label hits the mini milestone of ten releases with a perfect pumping and party-ready outing from Disco. First up is a super lively tech house cut with fresh and crisp drums but what defines it is the iconic lead synth from 00s trance-dance classic 'Meet Her At The Love Parade' from Da Hool. It flips into a shuffling speed garage workout with plenty of character that will leave the floor in a sweat. 'Sharp Shooter' is another non-stop and naughty speed garage number with more retro signifiers and cut-up vocals plus a filthy bassline.

Review: We're not sure what Lee Jeffries and Matt Early have been eating of late but we want some, because they have dropped a whole bunch of killer 7"s all in quick success this month. Some come on Sonic Wax In Da House and some have minted new Sonic Wax sub-label Disco Edits, which is where this one lands. It finds the scalpel masters and dancefloor dynamics experts offering up their own main mix of stone-cold classic 'Love Is A Vision'. In their hands, it has a low-slung baseline and dry, clipped drums that call to mind Mood II Swing. The Opolopo mix of the same tune is much more lavish and luxurious in its rich synths and strings.

Review: Incognito's 'Nothing Makes Me Feel Better' is a double-sided knockout that seamlessly blends house and soul music. Released on Splash Blue, this 7" offers two standout remixes. Side-1 features the 'Keep Me In The Dark' (Bluey Uplifting Bass remix), a house groove infused with funk, pop, and house elements. This track highlights the perfect marriage of soul and house. On Side-2, the 'Nothing Makes Me Feel Better' (Ski Oakenfull remix) ramps up the energy with disco and house vibes, expertly adding soulful touches. Review: DeLaChaud is the long-time home and record label of Krewcial, who is something of what you might call a young veteran in the game. Following impressive solo albums on PlayItAgainSam and UK's BBE in the early 2000's he is still going strong and this new one proves it. Whether sampling jazz greats, laying down funky bass and infectious drums there is no mistaking the soulful impact of these tunes. 'Love & Devotion' is a vocal gem that will raise anyone's spirits no matter which version you pick here and 'Nereci' brings a throwback house sound with a Latin vocal on the club mix. The Bruk mix is a lovely London broken beat and a final acoustic mix is a useful tool.

His version is a testament to house music's versatility, ensuring it gets the job done no matter the occasion. Natural Rhythm's "Solo Tu" is a vibrant, multifaceted release that promises to make your ears smile and your feet move, making the label's first release a memorable one in the deep house scene.

Review: The Nightcrawlers' tune 'Push The Feeling On' is one of US garages most iconic. It was a hit on dance floors and in the charts all over the western world and was also what lay the foundations for MK's whole career. The dub version he served up became a signature sound for the producer throughout the 90s and beyond. That original 95 mix is included here and has the yearning vocals pacing about the mix, the snappy hits and warm, fat drums rolling down low. A Revisited version tweaks things only slightly and the Dub of Doom version is the most chunky and paired back of the lot with a slightly dark sense of menace pervading the whole affair.

Review: Melbourne's rising star Pretty Girl is infusing the UK alternative scene with fresh energy following her recent move to London. The producer, singer-songwriter, and DJ has already made waves in Australia and her new EP Get Back To Me is set to introduce her unique sound to British audiences. Blending electronic elements with catchy pop balladry, it offers both sonic and thematic depth and shows her growth as an artist and individual. It has themes of self-development and transformation alongside plenty of cuddly depths and smoky house grooves. A fine record indeed.

Review: Scottish house music duo Silicone Soul aka Craig Morrison & Graeme Reedie's turn-of-the-millennium deep houser 'Right On!' certainly made a big splash back then, breaching the UK dance singles chart by bringing the genre an oily soulful emulsion. However, not their first release for the esteemed Soma Quality Recordings, 'Right On!' was an expert construction and a favourite for lovers of vocal house at the time. The track is a cover of Curtis Mayfield's 'Right On For The Darkness', a paean for living in the now and grabbing life by the bullhorns).

Review: Max In The World's NYC label Bliss Point is a lesson in pure dancefloor positivity, and that rings true on this reissue of a forgotten 90s deep dig from Soft Keys. Originally released in 1993 and now rarer than hen's teeth, this utterly delightful oddity from Italy features the titular 'Bubbles' and some endearing vocals, all shrouded in the warmest of keys for a deep house delight. As well as the original 'Soap Mix' there's an acappella available, plus some contemporary mixes from Boys Be Kko and Olive T which inject a little modern-day sparkle into the track while keeping the quirky delights that make the original such a coveted gem.

Review: Shall Not Fade's annual birthday compilations have a history of being exceptionally strong, with founder Kieran Williams choosing to showcase previously unreleased tracks from both label regulars and new family members. Their latest, marking the Bristol-based imprint's eight birthday, is another action-packed treat, with 16 tracks stretched across two slabs of marbled wax. Starting with the tactile, loved-up dreaminess of Koko's 'About Our Amore', the collection flits between breakbeat-driven dreaminess (SOBSTORY), muscular house pumpers (Adelphi Music Factory), speed garage revivalism (Absolute and HRSN, Paul Rudder), trance-fired techno (Pagan), morning-fresh electro (Holo), happy hardcore flashbacks (Testpress) and sweat-soaked jungle madness (Toby Ross).

Review: During the late '90s and early 2000s, Whirlpool Productions - a Cologne-based outfit whose members included exiled Californian Eric D Clark and future Kompakt regular Justus Kohncke - delivered a string of killer 12" singles that blurred the boundaries between micro-house, deep house, disco and Italo. Their greatest dancefloor hit was undoubtedly 1996's 'From Disco To Disco', a freewheeling affair that featured improvised vocals and electric piano motifs over a throbbing, Italo-disco style bassline and sturdy house beats. This timely reissue pairs a remastered version of the band's original mix with a later Tiefschwarz remix that's more druggy, undeniably heavier and laden with additional pots-and-pans percussion. It's a fine rework that compliments the untouchable original mix.
