Review: Since Zip and Villalobos made it one of their coveted deep digs to be heard pealing out of a thousand after hours sessions, the Metamatics remix of A1 People has been a teasingly out of reach dream grab for many a minimal electro head. Now Yossi Amoyal has done the good deed of getting the track remastered and repressed as part of his Fluere series toasting 15 years of Sushitech. As well as that masterclass of elegant machine funk, there's also Kosmogonik's mind-bendingly brilliant 'Circuitry', Silicon Scally's body-popping electro-noir 'Relay' and Matt Chester's melancholic 'November Pathways' to keep your up-all-night marathon sets peppered with spangled surprises.

Review: Saktu is an alias of Sasha Kaktus, boss of the St. Petersburg-based Heisenberg label. He returns for a new EP with buddy Alex Adamov for the first time since 2016's Kacheli EP on Reshape Agency. On the A side we have a rolling and ethereal cut that is the title track - this one is certain to have major crossover appeal from fans of UK tech house to the Rominimal sound. On the flip, you are treated to the equally hypnotic futurist bounce of "Flicker" which will appeal to fans of Sublee or Piktor. It then gets a rework by Berlin-based deep house hero Maik Yells, who takes the track down a trippier and more arcane route.

Review: Watergate welcomes back a crew of regular artists for an EP taken from the 27th instalment of its long running mix series. The Adana Twins kick off with a dark and bubbling minimal house number to set a late night mood then Sabb & Black Circle combine to great effect on the more uplifting, piano laced 'Vega', no doubt inspired by the house icon of the same name. Flip it over for 'Suwedi', a tech house track that traps you in a trance with computer melodies and last of all Emanuel Satie & Nanghiti get all spiritual and joyous with the warm house surges of 'Forever More.'

Review: Pathway Traxx's diffusion label OFFPath returns with its fourth installment, featuring four heroes of the minimal house underground curated by label boss Niko Maxen. We have Londoner Adam Monti (4plae) up first with the sunny tech house of "Camberwell Blues", then Dudley Strangeways & Tijn close out the A side with some deep afterhours boompty business. On the flip, Rising star Josh Baker out of Leeds delivers more of his reliably hypnotic and slinky groove action on "Rewriting Old Methods" and Shacklo's "Bermuda" channels the very best of Todd Terry style classic house.

Review: In something of a surprising move Rinse turn to the straight-up tech-house styles for their latest various 12", representing a sound a world away from the grime roots of the label. Richy Ahmed is most readily associated with Jamie Jones and the Hot Natured brand, and here he throws down some limber acid arranged in a stripped down style that reflects his surroundings neatly. Clive Henry's SAS project turns out a more pumped up excursion in "Cloak & Dagger", full of gnarly stabs and insistent beats for the darker dancefloor, leaving it to Michael Jansons to lighten the mood with the sassy "All I Give".

Review: Bristol house imprint Banoffee Pies return with more subtle and hypnotic grooves. On the A side is the mysterious Jay Anderson with "Didn't Care Too Much". While not much is known of him yet, we are sure that will change once people listen to this track: deep minimal house that crosses over into electro much in the vein of Frenchman TC80 or what his peers on Japan's Cabaret imprint are doing right now. Next up, Greek up and comer Simonas Paplauskas serves up the rolling and entrancing afterhours cut "Untitled" which takes its cues from the current sounds of Romania: an immaculate production. On the flip, the entire side is handed over to Ukrainian producer Peshka, who delivers another jagged yet downright wacky and unique take on reduced grooves with "Basic Instinct".

Review: Annanan and the Space Afrika duo team up for the hotly tipped LLM label, in what is proving to be one of the most interesting labels to appear from the underground this fall. The former has previously appeared for the excellent Forbidden Planet series, while the Manchester duo have only released on tape to date, an excellent excursion on the equally excellent Where To Now? Annanan comes through on the A side with the romping-stomping techno bullet that is "Willis", and a slow-paced, ice cold dub techno jam named "Anne". On the B side, Space Afrika are in a spacey deep house mood with "Track 3", whereas "Track 4" is a little more straight-laced, but nonetheless deep and chimerical. Strong!

Review: Sushitech finally unveil the second round of Tessera remixes and they've really gone to town here with contributions from Chicago and Detroit heavyweights. Kenny Larkin takes over the A Side with a superlative remix of Anonym, infusing "Go Deeper" with some vintage Motor City soul via deep organ flourishes and searing strings. This is more than matched by Chez Damier who adds some real bump to the drum programming of Soulmate's "Set Fire To My Feet", retaining the bassline throb but replacing the hopeful mood with something altogether sleazier. Finally Leonel Castillo's subaqueous exercise in filtered jazzy deepness is given a soaring once over from Delano Smith, who adds some weight to the groove and introduces delightful chords for good measure. Essential stuff!

Review: After debuting on Phuture Shock Musik, Appian returns to inaugurate the Sly Fox imprint, sharing wax space with Segv whilst delving into techy realms with his love of fractured groove. Taking up the A side with two edgy cuts, "Stuck In A Rut" shows Appian occupies the kind of headspace that makes 2562 such an exciting proposition, flitting around an off-kilter beat and subtle splashes of chord tones. His second jam, "Smoker" makes a nifty funk out of minimal dub techno, crafting a gnarly synth hook that accentuates the bouncing rhythm. Segv meanwhile keeps things much straighter with the Basic Channel-esque "27.05.12.0700", and pounds out a tough bongo mantra on "Perimeter".

Review: We've become relentless pushers of (albeit, only the best) minimal and tech house as of late, and of this batch, French label Stamp Records almost certainly head up the microgenre, microhouse. Welcoming four funky affiliates with a flair for fleeting feels, every track here is a beautiful vignette. In the future, when we have flying cars, Alich & Simo's 'Ahlia' might function as a fittingly dreamy and esoteric soundtrack for late cosmic nightrides. Meanwhile, Lulla's '99 Year Old Port' works better for scouring underwater sewage systems and future undersea tunnels. Sample-heavy, light and flighty.

Review: If you're going to launch a label, debuting with something suitably impactful is arguably the best way to go. It would be fair to say that the freshly minted Confucious imprint has done just that. Their debut 12" is a rare collaborative outing from minimal/tech-house scene stalwart Arapu, who for this 12" has hooked up with lesser-known producer Sandro Kuhne, someone who has been active at the fringes of the scene since the early 2010s. Our pick of the bunch is A-side "Pe Final", a deep minimal workout that layers fluttering electronic motifs, dreamy chords and glitchy computer sounds atop a typically tactile tech-house groove. Elsewhere, "Ephermeal" expertly joins the dots between locked-in Romanian tech-house rhythms and spacey deep house musicality, while "Sonourous" is a fine combination of glitchy grooves and picturesque, glassy-eyed musical flourishes.

Review: No Rush's second split EP features Arapu and Simone Adinolfi taking care of two tunes each. Both are said to express "a personal feeling about the antithesis of time, seen like infinite as much as just a moment." What that processes with you or not doesn't matter, the music bangs. "End Of That" is leggy and elastic house before "Relapse" gets more dark and dirty. "Morning Clue" again brings light to the dancefloor with a rubbery bassline and dubbed out chords, and closing out a fine EP, "Levantyne" layers up lush jazz chords over a broken beat loop that will get heady crowds desperate for more.

Review: Silverlining keeps up the pressure with his flawless series, hitting the tenth release in style with this batch of remixes he's sprinkled some metallic underground house magic over. First up is Arctor & Jay Hill's "Mercurial", which gets given a cavernous rub down, as brittle but mightily groovy percussion pirouettes around dubby inflections, whispered atmospherics and more besides. Ravi McArthur's "Here & Now" takes on a '90s tint as a killer phased lead hook and woozy pads bring the wiggle to Rizvi's limber deep house rhythm structure. "Conspiracy" by Spook In The House completes the set with a fractured ping into more experimental territory that sports a serious whiff of Stasis-esque psychedelia in its genetic make up.
