Notes: The latest Serato release we have teamed up with Max Glazer and Kenny Meez, co-founders of New York soundsystem institution Federation Sound, (bigging up bashment sounds since 1999), in association with the legendary Madhouse label and Grammy-nominated superstar reggae artist Chronixx with this super special Spirulina-green double 7" package.

The featured tune is a favorite of many Federation Sound's sets: "Spirulina (Inna Madhouse Style)" previously only heard on the Federation Sound Mixtape "Roots & Chalice" (2016).

Disc two features a super exclusive acapella of "Spirulina (Inna Madhouse Style)", the first such acapella released in many moons. Each side backed up with the Serato Control tone, naturally.

The snake evolved out of working with trees and related motifs. And the shape of a tonearm has always reminded me of a snake. At some point I did a drawing where the snake was a snake, but it was also a stylus - like it was a way to play the record.

In his explorations of movement, change, and rhythm, multimedia artist David Ellis effectively combines his talent for visual representation with his passion for musical expression. The confluence of the visual and the musical typifies the wide range of his artwork, from stop-motion videos to kinetic sculptures to live painting performances or motion paintings. David was a founding member of the infamous "Barnstormers", a group of artists that restored and repainted abandoned barns in North Carolina from the mid 90 to early 2000s.

Dancehall is a culture that encompasses music, fashion, drugs, guns, art, community, technology, and more. Born in the 1950s out of the neighbourhood soundsystems of Kingston, Dancehall grew to its height in the 1980s before a massive influx of drugs and guns made the scene too dangerous for many. Today Dancehall remains at the centre of Jamaican musical and cultural life. From its roots in Kingston in the 1950s to its heyday in the 1980s, Dancehall conquered the globe spreading to the USA, UK, Canada, Japan, Europe and beyond.

In the early 1980s Jamaica was in the throws of political and gang violence - photographer Beth Lesser ventured where few other dared and this book is a never-before-seen record of the exciting, dangerous and vibrant world of Dancehall.

Living in Jamaica in the late 70s and early 80s she photographed and documented a cultural explosion as producers, singers, DJs and soundsystems who all made a living out of the slums of Kingston. With unprecedented access to the incredibly vibrant music scene during this period, Beth Lesser's photographs are a unique way into a previously hidden part of Jamaican culture.

Notes: Originally published in October of 2021, "In My Eyes: Photographs 1982-1997" sold out quickly and is back by popular demand. The book features hundreds of impressive (and never-before-seen) photos of Fugazi, Minor Threat, Void, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys, Jawbox, Government Issue, The Faith, Husker Du, and many, many more. It closes with several intimate interviews between photographer Jim Saah and longtime friends/fans including Ian MacKaye, J.
