Review: Cimedirapax opts to welcome no fewer than four artists to its fourth EP, and they all take one track each. There is plenty going on with MoYA81's 'The Way We Like' from electro crash drums to wonky Italo melodies to withering sci-fi disco effects. Yu's 'Another Call Me Bad' rides on cascading synth arps that never let you settle for a moment and Gianluca Pellerano's 'Alienated Theater' then explores slamming tech house with electro style melodies bringing a cinematic vibe. NND cuts the most loose of the lot with sheet metal snares and wispy synths, prying bass and crisp tech funk drums on 'Incomingtransmission.' Innovative stuff all round.

Review: This joint EP titled 'SPOOR 3' by artists Prince De Takicardie and Young Adults showcases a diverse range of electronic music styles, from eerie techno to celestial breakbeats. Prince De Takicardie's 'ALLO?' opens the EP with a strange and captivating narrative voiceover set to a backdrop of sci-fi techno. The track's heavy acid and melodic breaks create an otherworldly atmosphere. Their second track 'Yoho!', is a more upbeat and playful early 90s techno number with mechanical undertones. Young Adults' contributions offer a different sonic experience. 'Rub-a-scrub' is an alien and trance-inducing track with a strong baseline, while 'Dielektricum' is a spacey electro number. Overall, 'SPOOR 3' is a well-crafted and diverse EP that showcases the talents of both artists well and all four tracks offer a journey through different electronic music landscapes, providing something for every taste.

Review: Fans of hard yet minimal techno will be pleasantly bowled over by 'Blk 20 24', the latest from Presion and Yan Cook. The A-side is delightfully rough-edged and cruddy, while the B is clearer-headed and foggy, each side of the vinyl recalling the feeling of being on the inside and outside of an alien spacecraft respectively. Hector Oaks' remix of 'Dominant', meanwhile, is packed with metallic growls, scrapes and creaks that mark its transitions; an unusual yet riveting choice from the artist.

Review: The king is dead, long live the king, as they say - except in this case the late king is DJ Bone's legendary Subject Detroit label, which has now been shuttered after 25 years, and the newly anointed king is his new outlet Further, taken from his Amsterdam parties of the same name. It kicks off with a pair of new EPs on the same day and this is the first from Yeti Mind Tricks. 'We Ain't Like Them' is a hammering Motor City techno cut for the peak time which Bone remixes into a more stripped-back but no less edgy and potent cut. On the flip are 'Bimini Road' and 'Vandelay,' both of which bring stylish techno drenched in machine soul.

Review: youANDme has always been an important cog in the wheel of underground house and techno and his recent PPPPP was another fine project that has also spawned plenty of equally brilliant remixes. This is a second collection of them and it kicks off with the Polish master of perfect loop techno, Head High aka Shed. His bulky, barreling drums and big percussive loops come with plenty of bounce and raved up vocals. After that come Ian Pooley's dub, and Johannes Albert's deep house trip. Review: Rotary Cocktail welcomes some real heavyweights for this 51st 12": Berlin dub techno mainstay Youandme is behind the original, tune, 'Swell Repeat'. It's a wavy, underlapping and deep dub roller with drunken drums overlaid with silky smooth and seductive percussion. Brazil scene pioneer Renato Ratier then steps up for something more dark and dry with a menacing marching groove and Detroit's finest Kenny Larkin brings fizzing, pixelated synth waves and moody techno rhythms to his remix. Review: Correcciones Calypso returns from a generous hiatus with the fourth edition of its acclaimed edit series, replete with four re-edits that veer from the subtle to the downright brazen. Thomass Jackson and INigo Vontier invite the French duo Youkounkoun to open proceedings with an insane early 80s edit full of big drums and exotic touches that's been blowing dancefloors all around the world for the past years - and definitely resides in the brazen category, despite a lot of work having gone into it. Olta Karawame make their debut on the series with a powerful, compact edit full of ballsy keyboard riffing and a military-sized kick drum that is guaranteed to have heads banging . To complete the release label bosses Thomass and INigo deliver edits of their own with their characteristic sound, giving this EP maximum a value for money factor and entertainment from start to finish.

Review: Yoni is the rather accomplished pair of Thomas Melchior and Tim Hutton and they roasted this cult classic album of what was then called intelligent dance music back in 1994. It was a CD-only release back then but now gets a proper pressing across three slabs of wax It is much more percussive, raw and textural than anything you would associate the smooth minimalist Melchior these days but it perfectly fits in with the current trend for mixing up several sound worlds at once. There are breaks, cosmic electro, mad techno and even hints of house along the course of the eight expertly designed tracks.
