Madeline Bell - "That's What Friends Are For" (3:01)
Alan Parker - "That's What Friends Are For" (3:01)
Review: Out of print since 2007, Jazzman do the right thing and come through with a much-needed repress of this 7" burner from Madeline Bell and Alan Parker. "That's What Friends Are For" originates from The Voice Of Soul, the 1976 album session musician Madeline Bell recorded with veteran library musician Alan Parker for his Themes International label. The album itself remains a highly prized (and priced) rarity for collectors, but Jazzman were able to license the irresistibly catchy and soulful samba of "That's What Friends Are For" for its debut 7" appearance. Vocal up top, killer instrumental version below; if you missed out first time around, don't make the same mistake again.
