Intellijel Metropolix Multitrack Performance-Oriented Pitch Gate & Mod Sequencer Module
Intellijel Metropolix Multitrack Performance-Oriented Pitch Gate & Mod Sequencer Module (clock generator/controller/CV modulation/digital/envelope generator/function generator/sequencer synth module)
Cat: 814424 Rel: 24 Feb 21

Clock generator/controller/CV modulation/digital/envelope generator/function generator/sequencer eurorack module
Notes: Successor to the excellent Metropolis, the Metropolix is a performance-focussed step sequencer with some really neat features, including modulation and sub-sequences in Loopy mode.

Supplier's Notes:
The Intellijel Metropolix is a unique and powerful Eurorack format musical sequencer. With an abundance of hands-on, tactile controls and a wealth of modulation possibilities (both internal and external) you can quickly and easily create infectiously musical sequences that are never boring. Even the simplest riff can be brought to life with seemingly endless options to create variations or real-time manipulations. Equally at home in the studio or a live improvised performance, the Metropolix is sure to become a staple source of fresh ideas and killer riffs in your creative process.

Width: 34HP
Depth: 25mm
Power: 95mA @ +12V 10mA @ -12V

On first blush, it appears to be a simple 8-stage sequencer - but there is far more functionality than first meets the eye:

There are two tracks (TRK 1 and TRK 2) that are variants of the single master pitch/gate sequencer, which is programmed via the PITCH sliders, PULSE COUNT and GATE TYPE switches. Each track interprets the master sequence in a variety of ways - creating complementary sequence variations that enable you to generate counterpoint, polyrhythms, and all manner of sonic movement (both subtle and extreme). Each of these tracks has its own playback ORDER, sequence LENgth, clock DIVision, SWING amount, SLIDE time, and track GATE lengths. Other track-based sequence variables are accessible from the TRACK MENU, and include Pitch Slider inversion; sequence note range; track transposition; and more. In addition, Tracks 1 & 2 both have multiple lanes of per-stage playback parameters, including: GATE override; PITCH override; RATCHet count; PROBability of playback; ACCUMulating transposition, and a dedicated CV lane. Each stage also has a SKIP feature, and a pitch SLIDE option.

8 separate and individual MODulation lanes are accessed via the MOD button. Each MOD lane has 8-stages of modulation values and its own playback ORDER, LENgth, and clock DIVision; and each lane is routable to one of Metropolix' two assignable outputs or to dozens of internal destinations, allowing for some sophisticated and powerful self-modulation.

A trio of AUX inputs allows for external modulation of user-assignable sequencer parameters for even greater variation, while two assignable CTRL knobs give you direct access to the parameters you want to adjust most frequently during a performance. With dedicated Pitch/Gate outputs for both Track 1 and Track 2; two totally user-assignable outputs (A and B); and internal MOD routing, Metropolix features a wealth of patching opportunities.

Metropolix also features a Loopy mode, allowing you to instantly play back short sub-sequences, or even "play" the stage buttons directly (like a 'keyboard').

Metropolix stores up to 64 preset configurations (in 8 banks of 8 presets), and all live settings are stored in EPROM, ensuring that your Metropolix will always power up exactly as you left it - even if you haven't saved them to a preset. By default presets can change all the structural (menu-based) elements of your sequencer without overwriting the front panel controls, but full recall is also available.

The operation of the Metropolix is optimized for live performance and jamming, with quick access to all the most important performance parameters, and the ability to greatly affect your sequences with a single slider or switch.

Intellijel Cylonix Shapeshifter Dual Complex Morphable Wavetable VCO Module
Cat: 563566 Rel: 10 Mar 15

Dual complex morphable wavetable voltage controlled oscillator module
Notes: Cylonix and Intellijel have collaborated to bring you a very sophisticated and deeply complex Wavetable VCO. At the core of this module is very powerful FPGA board that he has pushed to the absolute max of its capabilities and crammed full of features. We wanted to create a module that really worked well in the modular context so there are a lot of modulation and control possibilities.

CHORDS
Oscillator 1 can be operated in a CHORD mode, which runs 8 copies of the oscillator in parallel with adjustable detuning, leading to very fat, rich waveforms. The oscillators have extensive modulation capabilities including audio rate (98KHz) Frequency and Phase Modulation (FM and PM) via external sources. Nonlinear combination processes allow the outputs of the two oscillators to interact to generate complex timbres and sonic textures.
There are 64 user selectable chords.

WAVEFOLDER
The SHAPESHIFTER module also includes the analog wave folder circuitry from
module to add analog warmth and metallic rasps to the digital oscillator output.
External signals can also be patched in.

PRESETS
The module includes a sophisticated preset mode where panel settings can be stored. There are 12 user-programmable preset slots and another 52 volatile slots that can be used as a scratchpad. These scratchpad slots are initialized to interesting presets on module powerup. The capabilities of the preset mode is not limited to mere passive storage of settings, however. In this mode the user can also step through, or sequence, the settings, either in order or randomly in response to pulses input to the external sync input. This gives the user the ability to generate complex sequences of sounds. The preset mode also allows the user to morph between the current panel settings and a preset providing a very powerful real-time performance tool.

SYNC
8 Different sync modes: HARD, SOFT, REV, HOLD, BUMP, 2=1, 1=2, OFF
with the ability to internally sync to a sub oscillator

PULSE
User selectable modes for the PULSE output: OR, AND, XOR, GLCH, +OSC1, EOC, +OSC2, -OSC2

MOD A modes: (audio rate modulation)
COMBO IN, SHAPE IN, PHASEMOD, VOCODER

MOD B options (all with CV control)

-Combo modes for OSC1 and OSC2:
NORMAL, RING, MIN, PONG, INLV, AND, XOR, GLCH
-Waveform TILT
-Chord mode overdrive
-Delay depth and FB
-Percussive mode decay time

Intellijel/Cylonix Rainmaker 16-Tap Stereo Spectral Rhythm Delay & Comb Resonator Module (silver)
Cat: 620692 Rel: 10 Aug 16

Stereo rhythmic delay & stereo comb resonator synth module in Eurorack format - 36 HP wide
Notes: The Intellijel/Cylonix RAINMAKER eurorack-format module provides a high-quality (96KHz sampling rate with 32-bit internal processing) stereo rhythmic delay and stereo comb resonator effect.

The stereo rhythm delay has 16 taps, each with its own resonant 2nd-order filter and granular pitch shifter. The filters have independently adjustable resonance and cutoff frequency, and can be set to either lowpass, bandpass, highpass or bypass operation. The filters are also capable of self-oscillation, enabling modal synthesis techniques. The granular pitch shifters have a range of 15 semitones up or 16 semitones down. Each tap can repeat at a rate value set in tap#'s in order to create regenerating echo effects. The feedback signal has a lowpass/highpass tone control and its own pitch shifter. The tap delay times can range from 0.1 millisecond up to a maximum of 20 seconds. The overall delay times can be set with the rotary encoder, the tap tempo button, or synced to an external clock.

The stereo comb resonator section has 64 time-delayed taps which are summed together. This produces a deep comb filter or resonating effect. At large comb sizes (long time delays) a multiple echo effect is produced. The density of the resonator can be varied from 2 to 64 taps. The tap with the longest delay time is fed back to the input. High feedback levels, with short comb sizes, produce "Karplus-Strong" types of plucked string sounds. The relative timing of the 64 taps are set according to one of 16 different preset patterns, which provide different resonator timbres or echo rhythms. The comb size can be set either with the rotary encoder, an external clock or through a transposable 1v/oct input voltage.

The Rainmaker module has extensive voltage control capabilities. Direct voltage control is available for the delay feedback level and tone, the global pitch shift for all delay taps, the comb resonator size, and comb feedback level. There are two assignable modulation inputs, which can be assigned to different parameters in each preset. A trigger input with assignable functionality can trigger built-in types of noise bursts, freeze the delay buffer, reverse the delay, randomize parameters, mute taps, and much more.

Rossum Electro-Music Panharmonium Mutating Spectral Resynthesiser Module
Rossum Electro-Music Panharmonium Mutating Spectral Resynthesiser Module (digital/oscillator/clock generator/pitch shifter synth module)
Cat: 728570 Rel: 16 Jul 19

26HP Eurorack spectral re-synthesiser module
Notes: Rossum Electro-Music Software Architect Bob Bliss (who also, as it happens, fathered E-mu's famed "EOS" Emulator Operating System) has created Panharmonium, a unique music and sound design tool that analyses the spectral content of any audio signal and uses that analysis to drive a bank of from 1 to 33 oscillators. Depending on various control settings, Panharmonium can accurately reproduce the input spectrum in real time or modify it in a multitude of wildly creative ways. All with an interface whose immediacy encourages performance and interaction.

Panharmonium input can be anything from a single oscillator to an entire mix (including vocals). From dense, swirling pads and drones that evolve with the input's changing spectrum, to clock-syncable spectral arpeggiation, to as-yet unnamed harmonic effects, Panharmonium opens up an entirely new world of sonic possibilities.

Additionally, Panharmonium can take a snapshot of an instantaneous spectrum and use that as a complex harmonic oscillator, which can then be modified and modulated by all of Panharmonium's other controls.

Panharmonium accomplishes its magic though a combination of functional submodules:

Spectral Analyser:

The Spectral Analyser provides tools for defining the analysis process.

- The Slice parameter sets the rate at which the incoming audio is transformed to spectral data. It can be set by the Slice and Multiplier controls, the Tap button, or by an external clock signal. Very short slice times result in real-time spectral data, while longer times can create rhythmic spectral patterns.
- The Centre Freq and Bandwidth controls (and associated CV inputs and attenuverters) control the range of frequencies to be analysed. The Bandwidth control allows the selection of narrow to wide pass bands on the left side of the pot and narrow to wide notches on the right side of the pot. The ability to sweep the frequency and modify the bandwidth under CV control opens up a wide range of sonic effects.
- The Freeze button lets you freeze the spectral integrator, sustaining the currently analysed spectrum.

Spectral Modifiers:

These controls allow you to creatively modify the analysed spectra.

- The Voice parameter lets you select from 1 to 33 oscillators to resynthesise the spectrum.
- The Blur parameter (and associated CV input) is a spectral lag processor that controls how quickly the spectrum can change.
- The Feedback control (and associated CV input) lets you route the re-synthesised audio back into the entire processing chain for subtle or dramatic feedback effects. At its max, the output becomes self-sustaining, even if the input is removed.

Oscillator Bank:

The Oscillator Bank resynthesises the analysed spectra.

- The Waveform parameter selects the oscillators' waveform. In addition to the usual sine, triangle, sawtooth and pulse waveforms, two special crossfading sine and sawtooth waveforms are included.
- The Freq control lets you tune the oscillators over a +/-7 semitone range. The frequency is further controlled by the 1V/Oct input and the FM input and attenuverter.
- The Octave control, not surprisingly, shifts the pitch of the output by octaves.
- The Glide parameter sets the amount of polyphonic glide (i.e., each oscillator has its own glide circuit).
- The Mix control (and associated CV input) sets the balance between the original input audio and the resynthesised audio.

Optional Functions:

A number of optional functions can be selected by using the Output Mode and Tap buttons.

- Holding the Output Mode button and adjusting the Slice control enables Drums Mode, which optimizes the spectral analysis for drums and other percussive inputs.
- Holding the Output Mode button and adjusting the Centre Freq control allows you to instead set the lower frequency of the analysis range.
- Holding the Output Mode button and adjusting the Freq control enables Spectral Warping. In contrast to conventional frequency adjustment, where the harmonic relationships between the spectral elements are preserved, Spectral Warping shifts the harmonic elements individually, producing a variety of clangourous, swarming textures.
- Holding the Tap button and adjusting the Freq control quantizes the resulting frequency adjustments to semitones.

Spectra Memories and Presets:

Panharmonium provides 12 user Spectra memories and 12 user Presets (in addition to 12 each factory memories).

- The Spectra memories let you store up to 12 frozen slices. When selected, a spectrum (up to 33 oscillators wide!) replaces any live input and can have its pitch controlled by the 1V/Oct input and FM controls.
- A Preset is a snapshot of all of the module settings, along with the value of any CVs present at the moment the preset is saved.

Panharmonium is 26HP wide and 25mm deep.
Power requirements (max): 140mA +12V, 30mA -12V. Reverse polarity protected.

Make Noise/Soundhack Spectraphon Dual Spectral Oscillator Module
Make Noise/Soundhack Spectraphon Dual Spectral Oscillator Module (CV modulation/digital/dual/stereo/envelope follower/LFO/oscillator synth module)
Cat: 945799 Rel: 10 Jul 23

A dual spectral oscillator module coded by Tom Erbe of Soundhack in 34HP.
Notes: Based on a new digital hardware platform, the Spectraphon is a powerhouse spectral oscillator, capable of everything from analogue-style dual complex oscillators to FM and much more.

Supplier's Notes:
The Make Noise/Soundhack Spectraphon is a dual Spectral Oscillator coded by Tom Erbe of Soundhack. It uses real-time spectral analysis and resynthesis to create new sounds from those that already exist. It is inspired by classic electronic musical instruments of the past, including spectral processors, additive synthesis, vocoders, and resonators especially the Buchla 296 and Touche, but it takes a physical form more resembling the classic analogue dual complex oscillator in the lineage of the Buchla 259 and the Make Noise DPO.

The Spectraphon is the first module to be built by Make Noise on its new digital hardware platform. This hardware, engineered by Jeff Snyder and Tony Rolando, provides more i/o at higher resolutions, and a lower noise floor than we have ever had access to in a digital module, allowing us to unleash Tom Erbe's DSP code to a previously unattainable degree.

The Spectraphon has two nearly identical sides, A and B, which oscillate in one of two ways: Spectral Amplitude Modulation (SAM), or Spectral Array Oscillation (SAO). In SAM, instead of oscillating at all times like an analogue VCO, sound at the Spectraphon's input is used to modulate the amplitude of a set of harmonics. In SAM the Spectraphon can be sequenced and frequency modulated like any VCO. At any time the current spectrum can be used to create an Array for later use in SAO mode where the Spectraphon oscillates at all times, with the spectrum at the Odd and Even harmonic outputs being drawn from those stored Arrays.

The Slide and Focus controls are mode-dependent: in SAM, they determine how the Spectraphon responds to sound at the input for Spectral AM, while in SAO, they are used to modulate the Array.

In either mode (SAM or SAO), the Partials control works as a combined amplitude and timbre gate for the Odd and Even harmonic output and the FM Bus will create high definition internal frequency modulation from the opposing side of the Spectraphon. The two sides can also interact via the internal FM Bus, the Follow and Sync modes, and by patching them together.

ERM Polygogo Polygonal Stereo Oscillator Module
ERM Polygogo Polygonal Stereo Oscillator Module (oscillator/digital/dual/stereo synth module)
Cat: 734881 Rel: 11 Feb 20

oscillator synth module
Notes: A unique graphical take on an oscillator design, E-RM's brand-new polygonal synthesis approach is unlike anything else we've seen. Stereo oscillator capable of a huge range of timbres. Innovative stuff.

Supplier's notes:
The polygonal synthesis is a kind of graphical complex amplitude shaping method. With the help of the built-in modulation sources, polygonal synthesis in polygogo opens up a wide range of sonic possibilities from clicky pinged sequences to unique dark thunderstorms, bass lines, leads and colored noise.

This mighty stereo oscillator impressed the audience with its wide range of possible timbres. The idea of sculpting a shape on the screen of the module that then translates into sound works really well and invites the user to interact with the module.

ADDAC System ADDAC112A&B VC Looper & Granular Processor Module
Cat: 811085 Rel: 07 Sep 21

VC looper & granular processor module - 45HP
Notes: One of the most impressive granular synthesis approaches in Eurorack, combining looping and granular effects with buffer sizes up to five minutes. Hugely creative and powerful dual-module setup.

Supplier's Notes:
There's a long history behind the granular concept and many reinterpretations of it's core principles, this is ADDAC's take on it.

In a loose description digital Granular refer to pieces of sound files being played at the same time with slight or completely different parameters originating what is commonly referred to as granular clouds. Normally there's a buffer size from which the granular engine snips it's pieces from and plays them according to the parameters set. This buffer size is normally small in size where grains are so small that can reach the hearing spectrum and be heard as a sort of ever changing complex wavetable, this is the principle behind granular synthesis.

ADDAC have added the possibility of long buffer sizes up to 5 minutes, allowing "softer" approaches to the granular principle using it as an effect that can generate from "accidental" effects like slight "stutters" to extreme processing and transformation of any incoming audio signal.

This module is conceptually deep but easy to grasp and operate as all controls are in its dedicated panel, all jack inputs and outputs have its own separate panel to allow no compromise when playing it's controls.

There are three main sections in this module:
Looper Engine: The Looper is where all the Real-Time recording happens. The audio input feeds the recording buffer, multiple controls allow to record and play loops into a list so that any sample in the list can be accessed at ay time and more acting as a standard looper
Granular Engine: The Granular acts upon the buffer of whatever LOOP is selected.
Output Mix The output mix allow individual control for the Dry Input, Looper Volume and Grains Volume.
Besides these main sections there's also a simple strip down MENU mainly used to LOAD and SAVE Banks, no Menu diving guaranteed.

Rossum Electro-Music Morpheus Stereo Morphing Z Plane Filter Module
Cat: 658753 Rel: 11 Sep 17

Premium 14-pole stereo digital filter module
Notes: With our MORPHEUS digital filter module, we're finally able to unleash the full power of the 14-pole Z-Plane Filters that Dave invented for the E-mu Morpheus synthesizer.

The MORPHEUS Eurorack module includes over 280 filter configurations, what we call Cubes. Each Cube is composed of up to 8 complex filters that you can picture as being at the corners of a three dimensional cube (hence the name). Morpheus gives you the ability to smoothly interpolate between those 8 filters within the cube's three dimensional space.

Due to processor limitations back in the day, the original Morpheus was capable of real-time morphing in one dimension, but interpolation in the frequency and transform dimensions were set at note-on and remained static for the remainder of the note. But even with that limitation, Morpheus offered sonic capabilities that are unmatched to this day.

With the MORPHEUS filter module, you now have simultaneous real-time CV control of all three dimensions, for dynamic timbral effects unlike anything you've ever heard before. In stereo.

Programmable complex waveform generator module - 34HP
Notes: The legendary Buchla 259 complex oscillator gets the officially licensed Eurorack treatment from TipTop Audio. One of the most versatile and characterful VCOs ever made, with endless cross-modulation options and wave shaping features. Iconic.

Supplier's Notes:
The 259t is the largest and most complex analogue oscillator from Don Buchla's legendary 200 modular synthesiser. The 259 originated the concept of the "Complex Oscillator" in the 1970s and has been reissued by Buchla and Tiptop Audio in Eurorack format. The module consists of two oscillators, called the Modulator and Principal, with a middle section that provides voltage control over the internal modulation paths between the two oscillators, resulting in highly complex timbres. Additionally, the principal oscillator passes through multiple unique voltage-controlled waveshapers and crossfaders for further signal processing. The module's pitch can be controlled with 1V/OCT or via its internal auto-tuner and ART control to create precisely pitched notes.

Supplier's Notes:

Hermod+ adds so much to your system.

Based on the established Hermod workflow and keeping the same form factor, Hermod+ offers a lot of new features, and a refined, more playful interface with extended connectivity.

Record CV/Gate, MIDI notes and modulations on 16 polyphonic tracks. Compose melodic variations across 16 patterns per track, and take advantage of the advanced step sequencer and the new effects to gain efficiency and creativity in studio and on stage.

8 CV/Gate and 8 MIDI tracks

Hermod+ offers 8 CV/Gate tracks (that can also output midi) and adds 8 dedicated MIDI tracks for your extra gear.

CV inputs

Record, edit and loop analogue modulations or CV/Gate using the 4 CV inputs, and use them to synchronize Hermod+ to an incoming analogue clock.

Record live

With an improved resolution of 96ppqn, record and playback your CV/Gate or MIDI performance seamlessly without any noticeable note shifting, for up to 16 bars per pattern.

Polyphonic step composer

The revisited piano-roll now allows intuitive polyphonic editing. Edit or program chords, melodies and rhythms using the 16 built-in pads for a quick and playful composition process.

Automation

Program or record automated modulations (CV and/or MIDI) for each track, in addition to midi aftertouch, pitchbend and sustain voices.

Dynamic effects

Add up to 8 real-time CV/MIDI effects per track. All effects are non-destructive, so they can be edited at any given time to add some variations to a performance.

Advanced ModMatrix

Use the modulation matrix to link incoming CV or CC messages to effect parameters. Each modulations can be attenuverted and offsetted.

Playable song mode

Build your song structures using up to 16 sequences per project. Play them into a predefined order or launch them manually for improvised performances.

Synchronized project swap

Quickly save and recall your projects on the SD card. Project loading can now be done in sync, without interrupting your performance.

Boosted connectivity.

The missing link between your eurorack system and the rest of your studio.

Editing made simple.

Fluid workflow with a redesigned Step mode

Step mode is where you can edit notes, modulations and gate events. Hermod+ offers quick ways to write melodies and rhythms. Zoom in and out to visualize and edit portions of your track precisely and break free from rigid grid sequencing.

The re-designed piano roll editor makes the vertical and horizontal scrolling easier and faster, while the new "row edit" feature allows for quick chords and drum patterns programming.

Create modulation curves by programming them directly on Hermod+ or by recording incoming signals, and send those curves via CV or MIDI to other parts of your system.

Versatile interface.

Polymorphic layouts for perfect integration

Hermod+ can adapt its voice layout to any patching scenario. Depending on your needs, any track can become a modulation output, a monophonic CV/Gate track, a polyphonic MIDI track...

For a track of CV/Gate note + velocity + aftertouch, or for a polyphonic CV/Gate track, simply group voices using the desired layout.

Take advantage of the 8 dedicated MIDI tracks, that can record and be programmed independently from the 8 CV/Gate tracks. Up to 8 real-time effects per track with creative parameters and generative features. Hermod+ is the canvas, the paint and the brush of your setup.

Frap Tools Brenso Entangled Sound Source Module
Frap Tools Brenso Entangled Sound Source Module (dual/stereo/LFO/ring modulator/VCA synth module)
Cat: 765932 Rel: 22 Jun 20

VCO module
Notes: One of the most exciting oscillator modules we've seen in a long time, taking a unique approach to a complex VCO. Based around two thru-zero triangle core oscillators with a wealth of timbre shaping options.

Supplier notes:
Brenso is Frap Tools' primary analog source of articulated waveforms whose degree of entanglement can be precisely set by the musician.

Its concept developed from a reflection on the very meaning of the word 'complex,' which comes from the Latin verb plector, literally meaning 'to braid', or 'to weave.' The purpose of Brenso is to update the usual approach to 'complex oscillator' by offering many threads to be woven together, rather than a pre-defined plait of controls and waveforms: this to improve clarity, manageability and offer more sonic options to the artist.

Brenso consists of three sections: two for sound generation (yellow and green), and one for sound processing (white and red).

The generation sections allow control over the two triangle-core oscillators, which can be modulated from external sources and can modulate each other's frequency too. The frequency modulation can be any combination of exponential and/or linear through zero.

The processing section is composed of a waveshaping section (white) and a last stage of amplitude modulation (red): the first provides further degrees of modulation using two parallel wave-shapers and includes PWM, blends these two with a mixer and everything is passed into a wave folder with symmetry control and a dedicated clock input with shapeable nonlinear behavior.

The result of this is passed into an amplitude modulation section (red) which can be unbalanced (AM) or balanced (RM).

The white section modulations inputs are semi-normalled by a timbre bus, which is semi-normalled to the green sine wave.

Every oscillator has a button that locks its coarse frequency to the current value. From this moment on, every twist of the 'Coarse' knob will be ineffective (but The Fine knob is still available, from small adjustments).

BRENSO's oscillators are exceptionally stable and provide rich harmonic content. This happens thanks to the two thru-zero triangle cores, which guarantee the most playable behavior and the best response to audio-rate modulation.

You won't need to find a sweet spot because BRENSO is calibrated to sound 'as expected' in any setting.

Many controls allow for complex and detailed FM sound shaping. It is possible to set the amount of exponential and linear thru-zero FM independently per each oscillator and control their amount of 'deviation' through two separate knobs or CV inputs.

(The green oscillator can also work at sub-audio rate, and can therefore become a super complex LFO.)

BRENSO's 'complex' signal path is expanded on the front panel and grouped in four 'modulation buses': two for modulating frequencies, one for modulating timbre and one for AM and RM.

The green oscillator is always the semi-normalled modulator, but any other source can be used.

The timbre modulation section has been designed from scratch and offers a versatile blend of two wavefolders, a waveshaper, and a PWM circuit.

A dedicated VCA controls the global amount of modulation to be sent to each modulation section, but the semi-normalization can be broken anytime.

An analog circuit was designed from scratch that, when excited by an external trig, opens the wavefolder above its maximum level and then closes it down with a non-linear slope, whose length can be manually regulated.

This solution can generate percussive tones with a very organic decay.

Industrial Music Electronics Piston Honda Mark III Dual Morphing Wavetable Oscillator Module
Cat: 679877 Rel: 31 Jul 18

Dual morphing wavetable oscillator module - 17HP
Notes: Synthesists beware, there's a new menace in towniand much to the chagrin of it's older sibling, this one doubles down on its Banzai Rush. The Piston Honda mk3 maintains the character of its previous incarnation, while incorporating some punishing new combos. Where the infamous Piston Honda mk2 features a single oscillator consisting of 4,096 8-bit waveforms organized across a 16x16x16 "cube", the mk3 houses 512 16-bit waveforms arranged in an 8x8x8 configuration. Just like its predecessor, the waveforms operate at full resolution and can be manipulated manually with sliders or remotely via CV. Unlike the mk2, which only accepts CV in the range of 0-5v, the mk3's CV inputs accept both positive and negative voltages. Another welcome upgrade is the module's preset manager, which is operable via CV. This enhancement pulls all the punches by allowing users to store and recall specific configurations then morph between those presets! Who knew the fourth dimension was so unabashedly infernal?

The Piston Honda Mark III is a dual morphing wavetable oscillator with waveshaping audio inputs and unison detune. The three axis sliders create a waveform for each selected oscillator to play from the internal "cube" of 8x8x8 16-bit waveforms, morphed at full resolution in all three dimensions (the oscillators may each play a different waveform). The voltage-controlled preset manager stores a bank of these settings to be recalled at any time, with a virtual fourth dimension of morphing when the manager is in "continuous" mode. An orange 128x32 OLED display displays the current waveform for the selected oscillator in realtime, its frequency, and the selected preset and wave selection. The rotary encoder changes system settings on the display, but it's not necessary to interact with the display menus for any performance purpose.

Every suggestion about the previous MK II generation has been taken on board, and the design has been fully modernised, now operating as a dual oscillator in the same 17HP space. The infamous aggressive character of the Piston Honda is fully present, with the added clarity of the 16-bit wavetable engine. The second oscillator's frequency controls can be slaved to the first. Each oscillator has its own unison detune function as well, for a maximum of four stacked oscillators sounding at once. The oscillator can alternatively run as a nonlinear waveshaper, processing a dedicated audio input through the selected wavetable with voltage-controlled drive. When running in its normal oscillator mode, this input instead provides thru-zero frequency modulation.

In terms of visual apprehension, the mk3 adds even more precision to its ilk's well-documented cruelty with the addition of a 128x32 OLED display. More than a mere window into Cocytus, the display provides immediate visual indication of the selected waveform and its frequency, as well as preset and wave selections. When used in tandem with something like Argos Bleak, tuning and executing become insidiously simple. Another malevolent modification is the inclusion of a micro-SD slot, which offers users a quick and effective means of loading their own 16-bit waveforms into the module (much more convenient than the esoteric ROM burning ritual). The module is compatible with files created via the Synthesis Technology WaveEdit program.

Specs:
2x Digital Oscillator - 8 octave tuning range (C0~C7)
512 16-bit waveforms (8 waveform collections)
Micro SD card slot for loading user waveforms.
Graphic OLED display (128x32 in size, orange in color)
CV inputs accept +/- 10V.
Colorblind-friendly interface. No color codes.
8 preset slots with nonvolatile storage of all parameters (morphable)

Waveforms are selected from the internal memory of 8 collections:
* additive harmonic structures
* harsh LFSR progressions
* restored waveforms inspired by classic synthesizers
* special content from my favorite modular artists

You can load user wave data (16-bit WAV format) using the front-panel microSD card slot.

Intellijel Atlantix Dual Oscillator Subtractive Analogue Synth Voice Module
Cat: 1027949 Rel: 25 Jun 24

Dual oscillator subtractive analogue synth voice module - 42HP
Notes: Updated Atlantix module is an even better synth voice than the original Atlantis. Based on the Roland SH-101 formula, it's a monster with dual VCOs, legendary filter and built-in envelope generator. All you need for iconic analogue sounds.

Supplier's Notes:
Atlantix

Dual Oscillator Subtractive Analogue Synth Voice

It's Massive

The Atlantix is a complete analogue synth voice. It's quick to dial in huge bass or lead sounds, and easy to push it into new sonic territory. Dual VCOs, Multimode VCF, VCA with Drive, and an ADSR envelope; all of the building blocks needed to expand or start making sound in your rack. With 32 patch points and a selection of routing switches, you can remix these blocks into something all your own.

Reimagining a Reimagined Classic

The Atlantix is the highly-anticipated successor to the Intellijel Atlantis which was originally inspired by the classic Roland SH-101. Despite the SH-101's seemingly limited architecture, it produces various creative and musically useful sounds that have inspired generations of artists and countless hits. The Atlantix is just as immediate for dialling in beautifully rich bass and lead sounds. The thoughtful design, numerous additional features, and flexible patching options open up a massive amount of new sonic territory to explore as well.

The Atlantix is an analogue, complete subtractive synthesizer voice condensed into a single 42HP module. It provides all the fundamental building blocks needed to make sounds in Eurorack: VCOs, VCF, VCA, S&H, Noise, and an Envelope.

Oscillators - Advanced TZFM and Flexible Mixer

The Atlantix uses two triangle core voltage controlled oscillators (VCO) which respond in a musically pleasing way to frequency modulation. The Atlantix primary VCO (VCO A) is capable of thru-zero frequency modulation and has a dedicated amplifier for controlling FM depth (FM INDEX). The modulation oscillator (VCO B) can be used as either an LFO or VCO. The highly flexible architecture allows you to route VCO B as a modulation source or stack it as a secondary VCO all by the flick of a switch or slider. VCO B also has a bonus "spike" waveform output which is a square wave with fixed HPF, similar to the Buchla Easel. Both oscillators track very precisely over eight or more octaves.

In the mixer section, you can adjust the balance of the primary oscillator's waveforms, sub-oscillator noise, and two auxiliary inputs that are normalled to additional VCO A waveforms or VCO B waveforms. The auxiliary inputs also allow you to patch other external signals into the mix.
The second Auxiliary input has a switch that allows you to route the source between the mixer sum or directly into the VCA (post-VCF). The latter is a way to pass an unfiltered fundamental signal to the final VCA stage and then blend it with filtered audio from the VCF. This draws inspiration from the architecture of the CS-80 where a sine wave is mixed with the filtered audio to make glassy tones with some added harmonics.

Multimode Filter - From Drips to Growls

The filter section (VCF) is a discrete cascaded 4-pole multimode filter with lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and phaser (multi-notch) modes. The filter can self-oscillate which produces a very clean sine wave that also tracks 1V/Oct. The VCF has three frequency modulation sources, two of which are normalled to the external pitch and envelope and have switches for polarity.

Add Atlx for dedicated outputs from each mode.

Envelope - A Classic ADSR

The envelope section is an analogue ADSR with three timing ranges: slow, medium, and fast. It can be gated externally or via a manual gate button located in the centre of the panel. The ADSR is routed through a VCA which can be used for level or velocity control.

Modulation - Random, Feedback, and Built-in Routing

Two eight-position rotary switches allow you to select from eight different modulation sources and route them to outputs MOD X and MOD Y. Each switch also has a polarity control and an option to level shift between unipolar and bipolar operation. MOD X is normalled to VCO A frequency modulation and MOD Y is normalled to VCF frequency modulation. The dedicated outputs allow for further creative modulation patching.

Four of the Input jacks have normal switches to change your patch without the need for cables.

The analogue Sample and Hold (S&H) circuit is normalled to the white noise source and can be clocked by VCO B, an external clock source, or via the gate input for per-note synced randomization.

Atlx - Expander w/ Ring Mod (Optional) ***Sold separately ***

The Atlx expander provides 16 additional jacks to the Atlantix, including: dedicated waveform outputs for A and B oscillators, filter outputs, and a ring modulator. Atlx adds many new possibilities for self-patching, advanced routing, and connections to other modules.

Endorphin.es Ground Control Drum Gate & CV/Gate Performance Sequencer Module (black)
Endorphin.es Ground Control Drum Gate & CV/Gate Performance Sequencer Module (black) (MID/sequencer/power/clock generator/controller/CV modulation module)
Cat: 821991 Rel: 07 Apr 21

8 drum gate & 3 melodic CV/gate performance sequencer module - 42HP
Notes: Long-awaited sequencer module from Endorphin.es, offering four tracks (three melody CV/gate, one for drum triggers) with lots of live performance options and MIDI support.

Supplier's Notes:
Ground Control is a 42 hp Eurorack performance sequencer announced at Superbooth 2019.

The sequencer has 4 tracks: three melodic tracks and a drum track consisting of 8 drum triggers and modulation/accent output. There are also dedicated mute buttons for each track, MIDI and USB-MIDI I/O, external CV and a 2-octave piano-style keyboard.

The keyboard serves for playing the melodies as well as entering the menus - in that method the module eliminates tedious menu diving.

Each track can contain 24 patterns, which can be played separately or chained together in any order. All those tracks are organized into 24 projects. The number 24 is associated to the 24 letters of the Latin alphabet.

Ground Control features a very stable internal analog and MIDI clocks preserving low jitter operation, which is crucial for tight sequencing.

The patterns are entered either in 101-style step input or live recording and can be adjusted using the 303-style editor.

The drum sections features a X0X-style sequencer.

Endorphin.es Furthrrrr Generator Dual Complex VCO Module With Waveshaper (yellow)
Endorphin.es Furthrrrr Generator Dual Complex VCO Module With Waveshaper (yellow) (oscillator/dual/stereo/function generator/LFO/noise/random module)
Cat: 579172 Rel: 07 Aug 15

Dual voltage controlled oscillator module with waveshaper module - 30HP
Notes: The Furthrrrr Generator has a main oscillator (carrier) with an extensive and fully voltage controllable wave multiplier and a modulation oscillator (modulator) that can cross-modulate the carrier. Each oscillator has hard and soft sync and also features an integrated tuner: if both LEDs are lit the VCO is at note A. Left LED is lit at note Ab and right LED at A#. Frequency potentiometers are ten-turn models and thus allow for easy tuning. Frequency range of the VCOs is 10Hz-10kHz (and much lower in modulator's LFO mode). Both VCOs feature 2 frequency CV inputs (1x with bipolar attenuator, 1x with 1V/octave), one FM input (jumper selectable between linear and exponential FM) as well as separate input for hard and soft sync. The voltage characteristic can be selected between 1V/octave and 1.2V/octave (Buchla norm).

The main oscillator (carrier) outputs the waveforms sine, saw, square and white noise. The two outputs marked with the magic eye are outputs of the "harmonic section" that generates very complex sounds by the wave multiplier and its parameters symmetry, order and Furthrrrr in the module's right-hand section. Symmetry lowers the level of even harmonics and amplifies the odd harmonics (this affects the pulse wave's width as well). Order adds saturation to the high order harmonics and resembles a low pass filter. Furthrrrr alters the level of harmonics set by the other parameters and produces very interesting, partly brute sounds with lots of harmonics by clipping and folding the wave. All three parameters can be voltage controlled. The carrier oscillator also has inputs for hard and soft sync, the sync-switch can synch directly to the modulator.

The modulation oscillator (modulator) has three wave forms with direct outputs: sine, saw and square. Using the internal modulation via the "mood section" the waveform is selected with a button; an additional staircase wave form is available here, but it can be overridden by inserting a signal into the external input socket. A switch activates the LFO mode.

The Mood section is responsible for the internal modulation of the carrier by the modulator. Switches determine the modulation destination(s) that can be activated simultaneously. These are the Furthrrrr parameter of the harmonic section, the amplitude and the frequency of the carrier oscillator. The "balanced" switch activates the ring modulation between both VCOs. intensity of modulation is controlled by the "mood index" potentiometer and the according CV input with bipolar attenuator.

Xaoc Devices Samarkanda 1953 Resampling Delay Performance Station Module
Cat: 1079380 Rel: 27 Mar 25

A high versatile digital quad delay module.
Notes: A super impressive offering from Xaoc, the Samarkanda is a quad delay module designed for hands-on, real-time performance. Dial in everything from loops to stereo delays, resonators, modulation effects and much more.

Supplier's Notes:
Xaoc Devices Samarkanda is a digital quad delay module with extensive patching capabilities and a lot of flexibility for signal mangling. It can be used as four entirely independent delays, a dual stereo delay, a complex/multi-tap or multi-channel delay, a quad/polyphonic resonator, dual chorus, dual flanger, reverb, looper (with sound on sound!), and granulator, or any combination of those. You can reverse the delayed signal, hold it, squeeze and stretch it beyond all recognition and still go back to the original piece of audio captured in the buffer! The internal lossless normalization (the signal doesn't leave the digital domain) combined with top-notch components (including 24-bit AKM converters and 32-bit internal processing) are responsible for high sound quality. Samarkanda has been conceived in the truly modular spirit. Not only can you control almost all its features remotely with CV/gates, but the external feedback path gives you the opportunity to process the delayed signal with other modules.

Samarkanda offers a wide range of delay times beginning at a mere 0.5ms and reaching up to 15 seconds per channel. That means that, by stacking its four channels, you can achieve up to one minute delay! There are two operating modes switchable individually for each channel. Analogue delivers pitch changes that resemble classic analogue tape and BBD delays. When you combine it with the looping Hold function, you can play Samarkanda with any 1V/octave CV source. By using the Sync function you can even loop single wave cycles. The Digital mode gives you a granular buffer-scrubbing effect (no pitch change) across the whole delay time range. You can seamlessly switch back and forth between modes without losing any information. You can use Samarkanda for multiple tasks at the same time - from four independent delay lines through any combination of channels processing the same signal up to a quad behemoth. You can also use the linking feature for ease of operation (the first channel in the chain acts as the main control source for the others).

As most settings operate on a per-channel basis, you can freely combine different features (such as analog/digital behaviour, delay time range, reverse and hold functions, etc.) in a configuration of your choosing. You can synchronize each of its channels separately to a different source, either via the Sync input, or by using the tap-tempo functionality (with multiplication and division galore). Should you ever get lost, the Purge button comes in handy when/if things start to spiral out of control!

Frap Tools USTA 4-Channel Sequencer Module (black)
Frap Tools USTA 4-Channel Sequencer Module (black) (sequencer/clock generator/quad/quantizer synth module)
Cat: 731214 Rel: 15 Oct 19

4-channel sequencer - 36HP
Notes: USTA is a 4×4 tracks sequencer for voltages and gates with variable stage duration, designed to quickly see and edit multiple voltage relationships in real time.

Variable stage duration means that every single stage duration can be individually set in relation to the clock, instead of being constrained to a one-to-one ratio (i.e. one stage per every clock impulse).

4×4 tracks means that every stage can store and generate up to four separate voltages (two CVs and two gates), and that up to four independent stage sequences can be arranged into as many different tracks.

Its architecture is based on an array of 16 'Stages' which form a 'Pattern'; 16 patterns form a 'Track', and four tracks form a 'Project'. Within each track, each stage can provide two gates and two CVs, and a wide set of options is available to define and modify the value of each output ('Layers') and the way it is played ('Colours').

Every Stage is related to a dedicated stepped encoder for quick and intuitive editing, and all the 16 encoders are arranged in an oval layout with a circular playhead. Every encoder is surrounded by a ring of 16 LEDs and a RGB led, to provide a visual feedback of the current setting of that step basing on the layer you are working on (like raw CV, quantized CV, length, gate...) and the way it should play depending on the RGB colour.

Frap Tools Cunsa Quad Analogue Pingable Multi-Mode Resonant Filter/Saturator/Mixer/Oscillator Module
Cat: 945399 Rel: 28 Nov 23

A quadruple analogue pingable multimode resonant filter, saturator, mixer and oscillator module in HP.
Notes: Oof. Frap casually serve up one of the best filters we've seen in a long time. Quad multimode circuits with saturation and feedback give you extensive routing options. Delicious.

Supplier's Notes:
cunsa /'cu?nsa/ s.f. [dialect of Modena of uncertain etymology, probably from a Latin *comptiare, derived from comptus, participle of comere 'organize,' 'decorate'] i curing, seasoning (of foods), tanning (of leathers).

Seasoning is crucial for cooking. It is a process that enhances the flavors, glues the ingredients together, and even adds some unexpected kick.

From a gentle refining touch to a shovelful of spice, CUNSA is the perfect seasoning tool for your patches. It can sweeten a sour lead or beef up an insipid bass line, and anything in between.

And, just like a good oil, you can even taste it by itself!

CUNSA is a quadruple analog pingable multimode resonant filter, saturator, mixer, and oscillator.

It is Frap Tools' sound seasoning tool: it can gently even a patch, applying a final touch, or it can set it on fire with a ridiculous amount of spice. It's up to you and your cooking style!

It consists of four multimode resonant filters with a custom saturation and feedback control that you can use independently or in various combinations and roles thanks to a series of seminormalizations.

Four Analogue Resonant Multimode Filters

CUNSA features four state-variable filters that can be used independently or linked and mixed. Each filter provides three behaviors simultaneously: lowpass, bandpass, and highpass. Each behavior has a 12 dB/oct slope, except for the lowpass, which can be either 12 or 24 dB/oct.

Unique 'Character' Circuit for Feedback and Distortion

CUNSA handles feedback and gain staging with extreme control and versatility. Besides the usual Q control that emphasizes the cutoff frequency, the Character circuit defines the amount of soft clipping when the filter overloads. High clipping guarantees a controlled behavior with fat tone and pure resonance, while low or no clipping lets the signal saturate the filter stages and make it scream.

V/oct Tracking and Quadruple Oscillator

Each filter responds to the V/oct signal with excellent tracking. It is thus possible to move the cutoff frequency along with the main melody or make CUNSA resonate with no input and transform it into a multiple oscillator. The V/oct inputs are seminormalled so you can control more filters with the same CV. Easy chords stabs!

Ping and Ring

CUNSA is ideal for percussive and organic tones. The Ping circuit offers a behavior similar to the BRENSO but AC-coupled. Instead of shooting the frequency to the moon with any trig, CUNSA gently responds to different incoming gates with a selectable decay curve. The Ping circuit can thus create natural decay sounds when fed with trigs or smoother envelopes with any other voltage, like a linear integrator with a custom decay.

Besides this, you can also feed the filter's audio input with trigs and make it ring at high Q settings.

Linked or Individual Filtering

The four filters can work independently or arranged in groups through seminormalled inputs and sum outputs. CUNSA can thus be a 4×1, 2×2, or a massive 1×4 filter. Even odd configurations are possible, like 1+2+1 or 3+1. Mono, stereo, or quadraphonic audio is at your fingertips.

Filter and Combo Behaviour

When the filter behavior is set to COMBINED, every control of the cutoff frequency also affects the input VCA, reducing the signal amplitude and saturation as it approaches the lowest range. It can make organic decays with the ping circuit or tame the low range at high Q and Character settings.

Four Seminormalizations for Group Use

Four inputs have a cascaded seminormalization: audio inputs, VCA CV, V/oct, and Ping. Every signal patched to a filter will thus feed also those at its right, making simultaneous use even simpler. To remove a seminormalization, simply patch a dummy cable to the corresponding input.

Analog Mixing Stage and Group Outputs

Every filter output can be routed to an analogue mix bus that sums the four filters and outputs them in three combinations: all, 1+2, and 3+4. These outputs allow for versatile audio processing. Just like we did with FUMANA, we added a gentle shelving EQ for the higher frequencies of the All output to provide additional timbral variety.

CV Inputs with Attenuators

Besides the seminormalled inputs, every filter features additional CV inputs for cutoff frequency, Q, and Character, each with a dedicated attenuverter.

Neuzeit Instruments Warp Additive & Wavetable Synth Voice Module
Neuzeit Instruments Warp Additive & Wavetable Synth Voice Module (dual/stereo/oscillator/synth voice module)
Cat: 945406 Rel: 06 Oct 23

An additive and wavetable synth voice module in 24HP.
Notes: Warp is a novel synth engine that combines the best of additive and wavetable synthesis.

In the center of Warp's control panel is a colorful XY LED matrix that represents the sound space from which Warp draws its sounds. This XY sound space consists of 32x16 frequency spectra. Each of Warp's four voices can move freely and independently across the XY space. It always uses the surrounding frequency spectra to calculate a wavetable based on 512 sine waves in real time using additive synthesis. By changing the position, wicked wavetable sounds are possible, playable with four voices and eight oscillators and navigable in two directions. An intuitive integrated editor allows playful modeling of your own frequency spectra.
With Warp's SPEC effects the frequency spectrum can be filtered and deformed in realtime before a wavetable is calculated. The wavetable can then be modified with WARP effects like wavefolder, PWM bend, overdrive and redux. The resulting wavetable serves as source for two oscillators per voice, which can be detuned and also synchronized to each other. Each voice is followed by a 12/24dB/octave high pass and low pass filter.

Warp offers an integrated editor, with which you can playfully draw and modify your own frequency spectra. The XY-Sound Space is seen as a canvas on which you can draw your own frequency peaks. Several drawing algorithms are available as tools to edit single or a group of harmonics in a musically meaningful way. There is also the possibility to derive frequency spectra from audio samples from the SD card or to put whole wavetable audio files into the XY sound space. Likewise, the XY sound space can be exported to the SD card as a wavetable audio file of any length and bit depth, so Warp can also be used as an intuitive wavetable generator for other synthesizers.

Also on board are two internal ADSR envelopes and two LFOs, which can be routed to a variety of internal destinations using a modulation matrix. To keep the overview, all modulations are color-coded and are additionally visualized by pulsating LEDs in the modulation matrix view.

Navigation through the menu is as intuitive as with our QUASAR module and is simply done via a push-encoder and a back button. The display always shows which function the four surrounding aluminum encoders currently have, and colored LEDs next to the encoders provide visual assistance. Likewise, the tuning of the module is done via a detented encoder, which adjusts the pitch either in fine steps, in semitones or in octaves. An octave switch is thus already integrated.

For all its feature-richness, Warp still remains a playable and performance-oriented instrument. The large potentiometers serve as macro controls to control several parameters under the hood at once. This keeps the instrument straight forward with a manageable number of controls, but they are all very expressive.
Likewise, the module offers the ability to save and load presets and also comes with audio files and presets on board. Thus, Warp is ideally suited for both detail-oriented sound design and hands-on performance.

In the standalone version, Warp is a monophonic four-voice synth voice that can also be used as an oscillator. With an expander module, it will also be possible to play Warp four-voice polyphonic via MIDI and CV/Gate in the future.

Warp uses a novel hybrid engine that combines the best of additive and wavetable synthesis. With the integrated editor you can playfully draw your own frequency spectra like on a canvas into the colorful XY sound palette. Warp is a feature-rich powerhouse that lets you create all kinds of sounds, from glassy clean to crunchy crunch. Thanks to expressive macro tone controls, extreme morphs are possible in a single pot turn.

Hexinverter Mindphaser Analogue Dual Oscillator Module
Cat: 975739 Rel: 08 Nov 23

Next generation complex dual oscillator module - 30HP
Notes: Building on the familiar dual VCO core arrangement of Carrier and Modulator, Mindphaser is a complex oscillator which departs from this bit of ancestral DNA with a modern toolkit focused on searing, phase-modulated leads, percussive basslines and other-worldly effects!

A diverse palette of intermodulation and harmonic experimentation is offered through the Modulation Bus, its unique Waveshaper and the dedicated Thru-zero Phase Modulation Bus. An intuitive interface provides colour-coded visual feedback and responsive indication while performing in dimly-lit environments.

Two precision analogue oscillator cores

Precision, wide-range V/oct ramp cores, each ranging from deep subsonic to supersonic frequencies (ramp cores, and not triangular, deliver the ideal waveforms for analogue phase accumulation in the TZ-PM Bus)
Each core generates fundamental waveshapes which interact and mangle one-another through the complex Modulation Bus and TZ-PM bus
Simultaneous waveform outputs for each base shape
Dedicated button to toggle between RAMP or SAW for each core, inverting the phase of the ramp output
V/oct, linear FM and exponential FM inputs which are all independent of the TZ-PM functionality. The Carrier's FM occurs inside the core itself, separate from the TZ-PM bus.
DC-coupled linear FM

Carrier

The heartbeat of Mindphaser, focused on audio-rate generation. Drives the WAVESHAPER and TZ-PM bus. This core's frequency range spans the audible spectrum.

- An external hard SYNC IN forcibly resets the core, useful for punchy sequences, percussive basslines and drum synthesis -- or to sync to another VCO.

- Coarse and fine controls conveniently span the audible spectrum. Ranges further with external CV.

Modulator

An extremely wide range oscillator, spanning from deep LFO frequencies all the way up to supersonic sound! Four base waveforms and diverse internal routing options form a versatile palette of modulations for the CARRIER to feed on.

- Activating hard SYNC on the Modulator locks its core to the Carrier's heartbeat. The effect can be dramatic. Try this while phase modulating!

- Octave RANGE switch lets you quickly flick up and down between octaves. All the way beyond audio-rate and LFO speed octaves. Perfect for experimenting with different PM sidebands and taming the wide frequency range of the Modulator.

- Manual PW (Pulse Width) control and dedicated CV input for PWM.

Waveshaper

This isn't a classic waveshaper! Developed anew from the ground up, this waveshaper is focused on deep harmonic experimentation and audio obliteration. Each waveshaper parameter is capable of being "turned up to 11".

FOLD up to 5 octaves above the fundamental Carrier frequency. A ceiling forms at maximum, imparting additional harmonics.

FEEDBACK the waveshaped and phase-modulated audio through a signal path internal to the waveshaper.

AMPLITUDE modulation spans thru-zero, allowing for full-range ring modulation effects with bipolar CV or audio signals.

CLIP the final stage of amplitude with the switch to introduce a last stage of harmonics before the complex signal exits through the final OUT.

Switchable inverting attenuators on each CV input, for quickly inverting the behaviour of your modulation. The indicator illuminates red to tell you the attenuator has been inverted.

Two distinct waveshaping modes

A press of the shape switch toggles Mindphaser between RAMPOID (green) and TRIANGULAR (yellow) waveshaping modes.

These modes have a remarkable effect on the behaviour of wavefolding and overall character of the final complex OUT, in addition to TZ-PM Bus character.

RAMPOID mode folds more asymmetrically, with raucous, buzzing harmonic artefacts as you sweep and introduce TZ-PM

TRIANGULAR mode folds more symmetric, splitting the complex sine wave at its peak centre of the waveform. TZ-PM character is less raucous, and more smooth.

TZ-PM Bus

Thru-zero phase modulation in the ANALOGUE realm! Unlike its digital counterpart, analogue TZ-PM has its own character we've come to expect from analogue circuitry!

A dedicated, voltage-controlled phase modulation bus completely separate from the Mod Bus
Modulator's SINE wave normalled to the PM SOURCE input
SOURCE input allows you to modulate phase with any signal you patch in
Dedicated voltage-controlled INDEX (amount)
Manual phase lets you zero in (or not!) on the base phase before introducing modulation
Independent of the Linear FM circuitry in the Carrier core

Mod Bus

The internal modulation powerhouse, normally fed by the Modulator core, but external signals are patchable as well.

Select from the PULSE, RAMP/SAW or SINE output of the MODULATOR, or inject your own SOURCE to the bus.

Voltage-controlled INDEX behaves like a macro control when combined with various amounts and polarities dialled in at each CV destination.

Internal sends include the Carrier's classic Linear FM, Amplitude, Feedback and TZ-PM Index, with variable amounts and polarities!

Modulator waveforms internally feeding the Mod Bus behave unipolarly, for predictable modulation of every Mod Bus destination, without external patching. By patching in one of the Modulator's bipolar waveform outputs manually (or any external signal), you can override this behaviour.

Modbap Modular Trinity 3-Channel Digital Drum Synth Module
Cat: 899976 Rel: 30 Nov 22

3-channel digital drum synth module with 4 drum synth algorithms - 20HP
Notes: TRINITY is a 3 channel Digital Drum Synth Array packed into a 20hp eurorack synthesizer. Effectively, Trinity performs as 3 powerful drum voices packaged into one beastly drum module with a few tricks up its sleeve.

The name Trinity refers to the 3 drum channels and tips its hat to the core elements of any modern beat driven composition which is typically Kick, Snare and Hat. Trinity takes this simple idea and flips it on its head with 3 channels and an array of drum synth algorithms that use various types of synthesis (Analog Inspired, Additive, FM & Noise). This allows for a wide range of drum design capability that achieves and reaches far beyond the conventional kick, snare ,and hat.

Trinity's array of digital drum synth algorithms are very malleable by way of the 7 knobs and 4 mini-pots, each of which control a specific parameter and characteristic (Pitch, Sweep, Time, Shape, Grit, Decay, EQ, Clipper, Hold, Volume and Character) for each drum type. Each drum channel has its own trigger and v/oct in addition to extensive CV input options per channel.

Trinity's uniquely performable and switchable output matrix allows for the routing of each drum channel's output to the mix output, the individual drum channel output or both. This makes for easy performability, mutable output, parallel processing, or side chain source.

Lastly, Trinity's midi over USB connection allows for midi control over various parameters via one usb cable. USB midi makes integration a cinch by connecting one usb wire from Trinity to a groove-box or computer - instant integration

All in all, Trinity packs a hefty punch and weighs in at 20hp, 11 knobs, 3 drum channels, 3 triggers buttons, 4 drum synth algorithms based on 4 different types of synthesis, 24 CV inputs, 3 way output switching with 3 individual outputs, a mix output and a midi over usb connection.

Drum Synth Algorithms
BLOCK (Analog Inspired): Drum synth building blocks featuring sine and triangle core. Great for traditional electronic drum creation.
HEAP (Additive): Additive drum synth with 8 partials. Great for fun natural sounds and pitched percussive sounds (i.e. bells, chimes, steel drums, and wood blocks etc.).
NEON (FM): FM drum synth engine. Great for high quality FM drums, clangorous metallic percussion and more.
ARCADE (Noise): Quirky noise generator synth, reminiscent of classic 1980's arcade games sounds - zaps, crashes, explosions etc. Great for claps, hats, even some vinyl noise approximations, and all sorts of fun percussive and degraded noises.

Modes
Cycle Modes
The cycle modes can be enabled and disabled per channel.
'Round Robin' mode will switch between each drum synth type sequentially with each new trigger to the drum channel.
'Random' mode will generate a new random drum sound with each new trigger to the drum channel.
Stack Modes
The stack modes group the channels together allowing 2 or 3 drum channels to be triggered by the primary channel's trigger and v/oct inputs.
Stacked drums can be spread out similar to unison mode on a traditional synthesizer. Stack modes are inspired by the characteristics of chopped breaks where drums tend to overlap and fan out depending on the content of the chopped source material.

Jomox Mod FM 8-Voice FM Synthesiser Module
Cat: 967072 Rel: 14 Nov 23

8-voice 4-operator FM synthesiser module - 56HP.
Notes: This long-awaited FM voice module from Jomox is a self-contained synth in Eurorack format, patchable and compatible with other modules but capable of creating eight-voice polyphonic patches all on its own. Vastly powerful.

Supplier's Notes:
The Mod FM is a completely self-contained 8 voice FM synth in eurorack format, which can create powerful sounds out of the box without lacking the commonly provided CV modulation possibilities.

It provides 4 Operators and 2 LFOs/VCOs per voice. Additionally it has 2 analogue filters and analogue VCAs per voice which apply analogue warmth and depth to the Mod FM, although the FM engine is digital of course.

Each voice has own CV/Gate inputs and an individual output. There is a mix output which separates even and odd voices. Here you can mix internal effects like delay and reverb to the stereo output signal.

Next to the CV/Gate control, the Mod FM has Midi in and out in TRS type A format and a USB C connector which handles Midi too.

Even without diving too much into complicated modular setups you can create extremely good sounding and metallic FM sounds, snappy bases but also soft and deep sounding analogue style sounds.

Furthermore, the Mod FM offers a variety of external cv modulations in order to e.g. modulate each operator individually or control the FM envelopes.

The Mod FM is fully multitimbral, i.e. each voice can play an own sound in Multi Mode which gets stored as a complete multi set (not only vectorized). That is, you can copy a single sound to the desired multi, but editings made on that particular multi get stored along with the multi set.

Hence, we have the biggest advantage of the hybrid approach:

Modular is great but can be very complex, and you might be trapped in a system where you never reach again the desired sound of the latest session. Storability certainly helps.

The different sections in more detail:

Matrix FM:

4 operators are arranged in a matrix, in which every operator (= sine oscillator) can be modulated by each one of the other three.

The 16 endless potentiometers of the matrix adjust the modulation amount (FM amt) and the base frequency of the operators.

For each operator you can change the base frequency by the diagonal knobs.

There are several overtone modes that determine if one operator is controlled by the keynote (or CV) = base operator, or if it's locked in as overtone (= overtone operator) to the assigned base operator. For the base operator, the number resembles xxx semitones added to the keynote.

For the overtone operator, the adjusted number is the xxx = Nth overtone or harmonics to the base operator frequency.

The locked overtone operator tracks the base operator and is still able to modulate and being modulated.

Each operator has an ADSR envelope. This envelope can also be used to frequency-modulate the operator.

Algorithm:

The algorithms from the known FM synthesis are actually special cases to the whole matrix.

Because it gets pretty quickly uncontrollable if you turn all the knobs because of the feedbacks, Jomox have decided to implement the algorithms. There are 26 algorithms, that are derived from the DX9 with its 4 operators.

At this menu it's even possible to change the frequency mode of each operator to a fixed frequency that is edited in single Hz and which does not follow the keynote, but only modulation. That makes sense for e.g. percussive sounds.

LFO/VCO:

Each voice has 2 LFOs which can modulate either the frequency (FM) or the amplitude (AM) of an operator. Every LFO addresses 64 different wave forms that are displayed in the right OLED display.

There is another feature: each LFO can be switched into a VCO that covers the whole audio range. You can even mix it into the signal chain and it tracks to the keynote. The former LFO rate parameter turns into a detune parameter. That is, you can create classic sounding rectangle/sawtooth analogue basses or string pads - and much more of course.

Filter:

Each voice contains an analogue filter which is build up with the chip SSI2140 from Sound Semiconductor, which is an improved modern version of the old SSM2040, designed by Dave Rossum, and which had been used in Oberheim synths and the early SCI Prophet-5.

The filter has a classic 24dB output and a 12dB state-variable multimode-filter. The three basic characteristic outputs LP/BP/HP can be cross-faded continuously with one parameter called shape.

Both filter outputs 24dB/12dB can be mixed independently.

The ADSR for the filter is fast and cuts in very quick and directly, the resonance is well adjustable.

The filter section contains an own LFO for the cutoff which is independent from the digital sound engine and has also 64 waveforms.

The VCA is a fast transistor-VCA which is important for snappy sounds. The same transistor-VCA is used in all Jomox drum products. Therefore the ModFM can be used as a rich source for technoid drums and percussions of any kind.

Rossum Electro-Music Panharmonium Mutating Spectral Resynthesiser Module (black)
Rossum Electro-Music Panharmonium Mutating Spectral Resynthesiser Module (black) (oscillator/digital/clock generator/pitch shifter module)
Cat: 996371 Rel: 15 Apr 24

Mutating spectral resynthesiser module - 26HP
Notes: Rossum Electro-Music Software Architect Bob Bliss (who also, as it happens, fathered E-mu's famed "EOS" Emulator Operating System) has created Panharmonium, a unique music and sound design tool that lets you analyse the spectral content of any audio signal and use that analysis to drive a bank of from 1 to 33 oscillators.

Spectral Analyzer

The Spectral Analyzer provides tools for defining the analysis process.

- The Slice parameter sets the rate at which the incoming audio is transformed to spectral data. It can be set by the Slice and Multiplier controls, the Tap button, or by an external clock signal. Very short slice times result in real-time spectral data, while longer times can create rhythmic spectral patterns.

- The Center Freq and Bandwidth controls (and associated CV inputs and attenuverters) control the range of frequencies to be analysed.

Spectral Modifiers

These controls allow you to creatively modify the analysed spectra.

- The Voice parameter lets you select from 1 to 33 oscillators to resynthesize the spectrum.

- The Blur parameter (and associated CV input) is a spectral lag processor that controls how quickly the spectrum can change.

- The Feedback control lets you route the resynthesized audio back into the entire processing chain for subtle or dramatic feedback effects. At its max, the output becomes self-sustaining, even if the input is removed.

Oscillator Bank

The Oscillator Bank resynthesizes the analysed spectra.

- The Mix control (and associated CV input) sets the balance between the original input audio and the resynthesized audio.

Optional Functions

A number of optional functions can be selected by using the Output Mode and Tap buttons.

- Holding the Output Mode button and adjusting the Slice control enables Drums Mode, which optimizes the spectral analysis for drums and other percussive inputs.

- Holding the Output Mode button and adjusting the Freq control enables Spectral Warping. In contrast to conventional frequency adjustment, where the harmonic relationships between the spectral elements are preserved, Spectral Warping shifts the harmonic elements individually, producing a variety of clangorous, swarming textures.

- Holding the Tap button and adjusting the Freq control quantizes the resulting frequency adjustments to semitones.

Spectra Memories and Presets

Panharmonium provides 12 user Spectra memories and 12 user Presets.

Strymon Magneto Tape Delay Module
Cat: 1061145 Rel: 22 Jan 25

Tape delay module that can double as a looper, phrase sampler, spring reverb and more
Notes: Packed with powerful features while maintaining intuitive playability, Strymon's Magneto module is a stereo multi-head tape delay that also functions as a looper, phrase sampler, vintage spring reverb unit, phase-aligned clock multiplier, chaotic oscillator, zero latency sub-oscillator and more, with extensive CV I/O.

Turn simple monophonic signals into complex orchestrations. Create new oscillator tones using self-oscillation. Add rich stereo dimension to your sound, and enjoy the inherent warmth and sweet, subtle distortion characteristics of magnetic tape. Magneto transforms even the smallest rack into a fully expressive, immersive instrument.

To capture the full experience and complexity of a vintage tape echo machine, every last tape system attribute was relentlessly studied and faithfully recreated. From the sought-after natural saturation and soft clipping of magnetic tape when driven hard, to hands-on real-time controls for tape age, tape crinkle, and mechanical wow and flutter, Magneto delivers a rich multi-head delay experience that adds life and vibe to your sound.

Every function, control, gain stage, and signal path component in Magneto works together to respond musically and smoothly, even during the wildest live modular improvisations. All this is combined with a luxurious spring reverb to take the sound of your modular setup to a new level, and your sonic explorations into far-out territories.

Not only does Magneto deliver the warm, luscious delay signals that tape delays are known for, it is also capable of a high degree of saturation. Turn up the Record Level knob to send a hot signal to the record head for any amount of tape saturation you desire. Turn up the Tape Age control for warmer repeats. Add some truly beautiful Spring Reverb. Magneto adds organic heart and soul to the sound of your modular.

The effect of the Low Cut and Tape Age knobs are explored, followed by the mechanical 'deterioration' of the machine with the Crinkle and Wow and Flutter controls. The Speed knob is put to use for sonic enhancement.

In a typical digital effect the dry signal gets converted to digital, causing conversion noise and latency. Signals are often attenuated before combining digital dry and wet, with makeup gain amplifying the conversion noise. To avoid this scenario, Strymon have equipped Magneto with a completely analog dry path. Why go to all this trouble? Because the improvements in dynamic range and reduction in noise are so dramatic.

Strymon have outfitted Magneto with the powerful Analog Devices SHARC ADSP-21369 processor, which provides a 366 MHz core instruction rate, and an incredible 2.4 Gigaflops of peak performance. Thanks to this high-powered technology platform within Magneto, we had the freedom to craft our processor-intense tape echo algorithms without compromise.

Strymon Starlab Time-Warped Reverb Module (black)
Cat: 1061951 Rel: 22 Jan 25

Reverb module with a powerful pre-delay, allowing for additional delay, chorus and flanger effects
Notes: Expand the sound of your modular rack with incredibly lush, ethereal reverbs. Enhance signals with gorgeous chorus, flanging, and modulated delays. Create uniquely expressive synth voices with Karplus-Strong string synthesis. StarLab is a single module that will completely transform your modular rack.

The seemingly simple idea of allowing the pre-delay signal to be fed directly to the module's output led to the development of rich sounding delay, chorus, and flanger effects, all of which can be used together with or independent of the reverb.

While experimenting with short delay times using feedback and filtering, Strymon began finding very musical and expressive Karplus-Strong string synthesis sounds, and realized that StarLab could move beyond signal processing and become a truly unique voice module as well. All this ultimately resulted in the creation of a module that is equal parts reverb, delay/ modulation, and playable instrument.

From patch creation to live performance, StarLab's powerful features are easily accessible at the turn of a knob or the touch of a button. With no menus to wade through, StarLab's interface is designed for intuitive hands-on sonic exploration, while every function and control works together to respond musically and smoothly.

From perfectly voiced room ambience to vast, immersive, nearly infinite decays, StarLab offers the pinnacle of premium reverb sounds with unparalleled depth and spaciousness. Add musical intervals to the reverb signal with Shimmer, and enhance the harmonic spectrum with Glimmer, while enjoying real-time control over the size/pitch of the reverb process.

StarLab has vastly expanded what reverb pre-delay can do by allowing you to bus the pre-delay signal to the output while making the pre-delay time a modulation target. This results in the ability to create rich choruses, sweeping flanger effects, and beautiful modulated delays, while also processing signal through the reverb.

In addition to input signal processing, StarLab is a powerful Karplus-Strong string synthesis voice module that allows freely alternating bowing and plucking as well as dynamic string damping. This results in an astoundingly expressive and lifelike instrument with a unique voice all its own, which can be enhanced and expanded by the full range of StarLab's reverb capabilities.

Rossum Electro-Music Morpheus Stereo Morphing Z-Plane Filter Module (black)
Cat: 996369 Rel: 15 Apr 24

Stereo morphing z-plane filter module - 18HP
Notes: With the MORPHEUS digital filter module, Rossum are finally able to unleash the full power of the 14-pole Z0-Plane Filters that Dave invented for the E-mu Morpheus synthesizer.

The MORPHEUS Eurorack module includes over 280 filter configurations, which are called Cubes.

In stereo.

Like all Rossum Electro-Music digital modules, all parameters are available for adjustment with a single button press. No menu diving.

TipTop Audio The Analog Bundle S1: ART V/OCT CV To ART Converter/3x ATX1/MIX7/Z2040/Control Path Modules
Cat: 1004144 Rel: 04 Mar 24

Bundle includes ART V/OCT CV To ART Converter, 3x ATX1, MIX7, Z2040 & Control Path Modules
Notes: The S1 is a promotional bundle that Tiptop Audio is offering to users, providing a 33% savings to get you started with ART. With these bundles, this incredible voice is included: the big, beefy 3 VCO stack. The bundles come in two options: Bundle S1, which uses the ART V/OCT Quantizer as a controller, and Bundle S2, which uses Octopus as a controller. In addition to the controllers, there are three ATX1 analogue oscillators, MIX7 for mixing them with plenty of headroom, and followed by the beloved 4-pole Z2040 filter that has been with TipTop since day one; it just sounds so good. Finally, we end up with Control Path dual envelope plus VCA dynamics modules. This special price is time limited and while supplies last.

ART QUAD QUANTIZER is a four channel CV to ART Quantizer to play ART oscillators from CV sequencers, LFOs and anything that outputs CV. This is Tiptop's second ART controller option and is designed for those of us playing ART without a computer or MIDI source. The inputs take in positive, negative, bipolar CV voltages. Scales include Major Minor and the five other modes (Dorian, Lydian, etc). The module is simple to set up with a simple menu and one knob with switch for navigation. The 4th channel can be set to generate Chords and polyphonic note streams for ART Polyphonic oscillators.

Size: 8HP - Depth: 40mm / 1.5"
Power: +12V 38mA / -12V 4mA

ATX1: a classic all analogue saw VCO core with 3 switchable modes, ART, 1V/Oct, LFO and is recommended as the basic building block for ART systems. It is designed for patching analogue polyphonic synths from discrete modules or multi-mono patches in ART mode. When using ART the ATX1 takes care of the tuning including accounting for temperature changes. In 1V/Oct mode the ATX1 runs as a standard old school modular VCO. LFO mode drops the frequency range and is great for patching vibrato to other ATX1s among other things. The ATX1 outputs variable waveshapes with manual or CV control. Classic FM, PWM and hard sync are provided. A dedicated Gate Out in ART mode manages the voice envelopes or any modulation synced to that voice. TipTop consider the ATX1 the best sounding analogue VCO they have ever created.

Size: 8HP - Depth: 40mm / 1.5"
Power: +12V 105mA / -12V 33mA

MIX7 is a seven channel analogue summing mixer module for Eurorack. It is designed for summing any of the different types of signals you'll find in a modular system: Audio, CV, Triggers, or Gate.

MIX7 gives ability to sweeten your mix with more headroom using the power of low noise analogue summing. A compact 3HP Eurorack utility module, MIX7 is an attractive mixing addition to any rig, especially with the ability to also combine rhythms, note patterns or CV automations from different control sources. The main output of one section can be connected to the input of another MIX7 to create larger mixing groups and complex signal routes inside your modular.

The MIX7 summing mixing circuit is built with low-noise operational amplifiers, giving it an excellent sound quality for mixing audio, the beautiful texture of classic analogue mixing with plenty of headroom to handle hot modular signals, and the versatility to sum non-audio signals in your system to open up new creative possibilities.

Each input is labelled with a number of dots, 1-7, yellow for input and green for output. The module matches Tiptop's system look with clean white faceplate styling.

At the back of the module is a user-configurable jumper allowing users to configure the MIX7 for either unity gain (OUT = IN) or give increased headroom (OUT = 0.4IN) for use with hot audio signals, which makes it a great pairing for Tiptop Audio percussive modules. A peak indicator light on the front panel warns the user of even the slightest audio clipping in the mix, helping to keep all the incoming sound sources at their full original quality.

Size: 3HP - Depth: 43mm - Power: +12V 25ma / -12V 20ma

CONTROL PATH is an all in one voice dynamics module that helps build full voices quickly. It contains two analogue envelopes with velocity cv, and one VCA. In a typical voice patch the left envelope will control a filter and the right envelope will be the voice VCA. Velocity control is provided for each envelope and delay front panel trimmers are used to compensate for any miss match between incoming gate signal and velocity CV timings. Envelope cv outs are 0-5V, Velocity cv ins are 0-5V.

Size: 8HP - Depth: 40mm / 1.5"
Power: +12V 50mA / -12V 55mA

The Z2040 is TipTop's redesign of the most famous analogue filter from the polysynths of the 80's and features Tiptop Audio's signature lush, big, and creamy sound. Its frequency sweeps make thick bass lines and leads with great dynamics. When modulated with audio frequencies through its various inputs, the Z2040 gets quite colourful and is capable of creating many new sounds and textures as the forces of the incoming waves and their harmonics blend through the filter's non-linear circuit. When set with Resonance feedback fully up, the Z2040 transforms into a pure sine-core VC-Oscillator, great for making snappy percussive elements and whistling sounds.

A look under the hood will find that the heart of the Z2040 is a discrete design 4-pole low pass filter with a core similar to that of the SSM2040 filter chip, used in the 80's Prophet 5 Rev 2 synthesizer, and its brother the SSM2044, used in the famous early EMU samplers and PPG synthesizers of the 80's. Both filters are considered by many to be, "the best sounding filter ever".

The Z2040's four modulation inputs are built to handle CV and audio signals, enabling deep modulation of the filter core and passing signals. A VC resonance input is provided to modulate and even clip the sine wave produced by the filter feedback loop. A Frequency Modulation input (FM) provides dynamic filter sweeps and the unique VC-FM index allows modulation of the incoming FM signals. On top of that, the Z2040 comes with an audio VCA that can be configured to act upon the input or the output of the filter.

Cat: 947135 Rel: 04 Mar 25

Polyphonic 6-voice ART wavetable oscillator module in 20HP.
Notes: Vortex 6 us a polyphonic 6-voice wavetable oscillator inspired by the hardware design and sound of the PPG Wave 2.2, and it is the only oscillator of this type that uses true 8-bit vintage audio converters from the '80s. Dozens of wavetables are provided internally, and user tables can be loaded via an SD card. VORTEX6 has built-in vibrato, glide, and six wavetable-scrolling envelopes, all with CV. The ART-in jack and a built-in voice manager take care of incoming notes and distribute them to audio, gate, and velocity outsieither through per-voice 3.5mm jacks or the Polytip jacks. Together with OCTOPUS, one or more OCTOSTAGES, OCTOPASS, and OCTOGAIN, along with a few Polytip patch cables, it forms the world's first complete six-voice polyphonic modular synth. Alternatively, VORTEX6 can be patched to discrete mono modules or use its voice mix-out for paraphonic soundscapes with up to 12 oscillators in detune mode.

Size: 20HP - Depth: 40mm

Power: +12V 190mA / -12V 50mA

Endlessly customisable digital 'modular system within a modular system'. Includes more than 80 modules, allowing you to create effects, synths, control devices, oscillators, filters and much more.

Supplier's Notes:
What's a Euroboro?

The ZOIA Euroburo is a digital modular system that can be placed in your modular system, a real Russian nesting doll situation. We added a headphone output and a super-slim optional case so the Euroburo can live happily on your desktop or be easily mounted in a Eurorack case. Hence the euro + buro, pronounced "bureau"...get it!?

Create unique signature effects, synthesizers, sequencers and more while using 4 freely assignable CV ins and 4 outs to interface with other CV enabled devices. The additional headphone output and powered 9v case makes the module even more desktop friendly. With over 90 modules from CV utilities to audio effects, oscillators and envelopes to MIDI, the Euroburo can do almost anything to fill the gaps in your setup.

There's no need to worry about getting bogged down with endless menus or a cluttered interface. Creating patches and performing with the ZOIA is a tactile experience. Patching, deleting or moving modules and editing values can all be done quickly using the push-button grid and a flick of the encoder. With the addition of dedicated push buttons for the CV and Audio I/O, patching on the ZOIA has never been faster.

Kaona Sisyphus Multi-Filter/Multi-Grain Granular Filter Module
Cat: 1072928 Rel: 24 Mar 25

Versatile granular filter that allows multiple grains in one audio stream
Notes: Super versatile granular filtering. Incoming sounds are granulated, then processed with eight contrasting filters. Hands-on and CV controls allow you to manipulate and modulate the output.

Supplier's Notes:
Sisyphus is built around a granular engine and a palette of eight original filters. Its granular system allows multiple grains to coexist within a single stereo audio stream, where they combine and interact with each other.

This filter is based on a comprehensive granular approach to sound: rather than a granular engine followed by a filter, it offers true integration of filtering into the grain-generation process. Each generated grain carries the filtering characteristics defined by the musician and will be combined with other grains according to evolving, configurable patterns.

These filters have been developed entirely from scratch in-house, without using typical filter libraries, so they each have their own unique color for you to explore!

Filters

Lowpass: Attenuates high frequencies above the cutoff frequency. 12 dB/oct slope.
Highpass: Attenuates low frequencies below the cutoff frequency. 12 dB/oct slope.
Bandpass: Lets through a band of frequencies around the cutoff frequency. 12 dB/oct slope.
Notch: Dips around the cutoff frequency while letting the rest of the spectrum pass through.
Peak: Boosts the band around the cutoff frequency while allowing the rest of the spectrum to pass without a drastic cut.
Comb: Creates a series of cancellations and resonances based on an internal delay and feedback.
Karplus (Karplus-Strong: Simulates the vibration of a string or looping resonance by combining a short delay, feedback, and damping.
Ladder: Inspired by Moog-style analogue filters, with four stages in cascade. Features a steep slope (24 dB/oct) and a distinctive resonance that can reach self-oscillation.

Filter Controls

Cutoff (Cutoff Frequency):Defines the filter's cutoff frequency or center frequency (depending on filter type), ranging from 10 Hz to 20 kHz.

Resonance: Emphasises frequencies near the cutoff frequency, from a slight bump up to the edge of self-oscillation.

Feedback: Re-injects part of the output back into the filter input.

Variations: Introduces an instability in the setting of the cutoff frequency, resonance, or feedback (depending on the selected filter), allowing for a more or less "organic" filter character.

Grain Controls: The incoming sound is continuously sampled and segmented into buffers. Each segment is analysed, filtered, and then extracted to become a grain. You can change the length of each grain, the interval between grains, the way grains follow one another, how they are arranged in relation to each other, and their density (number and influence).

Grain Length: Adjusts the length of the audio grains. The shorter the grains, the more the sound fragments into a "grained" granular texture; the longer the grains, the closer the result is to the original sound, but filtered and delayed. When multiple grains are played simultaneously, longer grains make echo effects more noticeable.

Grain Interval: Determines the time between the start of two successive grains (or the probability of automatic triggering).

Pattern: Grains are organized according to predefined, adjustable patterns. Several scenarios allow you to explore different ways grains can combine, from highly organized to more chaotic.

Density: Determines how many grains are played simultaneously and their intensity.

Variability: Sets the magnitude of the special effects specific to each pattern.

Transition: Defines the shape of the envelope applied to the grains as they link together.

Input and Output: Sisyphus works with two parallel channels that share the same settings. You can use it either in stereo mode or as two separate mono audio channels.

CV Inputs: Four CV inputs allow control of Sisyphus using other Eurorack modules. These inputs accept the standard Eurorack voltages (0 to 8 V).

The four basic parameters that can be controlled via CV are: Grain Length, Density, Cutoff, and Resonance.

However, you can configure the module differently using an external file on an SD card. In that case, any CV input can be assigned to any control, the input voltage range (from 1 to 8 V) can be set, LED brightness can be adjusted, and more.
