Review: On March 31, 1964, The Beatles recorded seven songs for the BBC's Saturday Club. Three of them were covers of American rock 'n' roll and country songs. The final segment aired on the BBC's General Overseas Service and earlier that day, the band filmed a live performance at the Scala Theatre in Kings Cross for their upcoming film, A Hard Day's Night. This EP includes 'The Hippy Hippy Shake', recorded for Saturday Club and originally broadcast on February 15, as well as the catchy 'Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby' and 'Long Tall Sally'. The band's tight musicianship can be heard throughout this record, which serves as a great example of The Beatles' dynamic early sound during their rise to global fame.

Review: Following their 15 part BBC radio series Pop Go The Beatles, the legendary Liverpool group returned for a set of two-hour holiday specials titled From Us To You. The first was recorded on December 18 at the BBC Paris Studio and aired on Boxing Day, December 26, 1963. Somewhat randomly hosted by Australian television personality - turned national pariah - Rolf Harris, the show included a special performance where the Beatles joined him for his 1960 hit 'Tie Me Kangaroo Down.' Also featured was the group's favourite British rocker, Joe Brown, accompanied by his band, the Bruvvers, who brought an extra dose of British rock 'n' roll to the event.

Review: With a million preorders in the UK alone, The Beatles' 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' soared to number 1 in December 1963 and knocked their own 'She Loves You' off the top spot. It became their first official single on Capitol Records and was backed by an aggressive marketing campaign. The single, which had 'I Saw Her Standing There' on the B-side, was rush-released in the USA in January 1964 and quickly hit number 1 on the Hot 100 by February 1st. Selling over 12 million copies worldwide, it marked the arrival of Beatlemania. Now it has been remastered from original US tapes by Kevin Reeves for this special 7" reissue.

Review: The second BBC bank holiday Beatles special From Us To You was recorded on February 28, 1964, at BBC Piccadilly Studios and it aired a month later on Easter Monday, March 30. Hosted by DJ Alan Freeman, the set featured The Beatles' debut performance of 'You Can't Do That,' which had been recorded just two days earlier. Initially considered for their next single, it was later placed as the B-side to 'Can't Buy Me Love,' which came in March of that year. Bonus tracks included here from the August 1964 show are 'Boys' and 'Long Tall Sally,' which serve to highlight the band's evolving repertoire and their energetic live performances during this period.

This one is an orange 12" from the iconic David Bowie who was on tour across the world in 1990 when he stopped in Chile for one particularly stand-out night. That evening amongst many other classics in his set was 'Heroes' which features here as a live recording from the night first as a Jesse Zotti Extended Mix and then on the flip as a Jesse Zotti Instrumental. What Can I Say (2:58)
Review: For the first time on green vinyl, cinematic funk and r&b singer Boz Scaggs gives us the Lowdown. One of the breakthrough hits from his 1976 album Silk Degrees, Scaggs' stylised, night-flighty sound is put on full blast here. Co-written by Scaggs and keyboardist David Paich (Toto), the record's unburdened and frolicking feel acts to disguise its subject matter: Scaggs' intention is double-sided, with the lyrics warning the listener about an unreliable, buttery figure, whose romantic trickery warrants an urgent briefing (hence "lowdown"). A twist arrives at the point of the chorus, when we realise that said bullshit artist might just be Boz himself. Well, we can't quite believe it. Are all us romantics loving a lie, to some extent?

Love You Out Of Your Mind (3:17)
Robert Byrne - "Do You Wanna Make Some Love" (previously unreleased) (2:52)
Review: Byrne and Barnes 'Love You Out Of Your Mind',first released in 1981, epitomises the smooth blend of soft rock and AOR during its peak era. Featured on the album An Eye For An Eye, this track marked a unique collaboration between the duo, both of whom would later contribute to the success of artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Patti Austin, and Phil Collins. The song showcases the signature AOR sound, merging jazzy elements with soulful grooves, giving it a timeless WestCoast flair. Now, for the first time, this classic is getting the 7" single treatment, backed by an exclusive, never-before-heard track from Byrne's archives. 'Do You Wanna Make Some Love', also rooted in AOR and WestCoast vibes, flirts with Boogie and Disco influences, offering a fresh yet nostalgic sound. This newly unearthed gem, found by the original executive producer, is a great B-side addition. Despite being somewhat overlooked in its time, Byrne & Barnes' music has built a dedicated following over the decades. This reissue brings their sophisticated sound back into the spotlight, ready to win over another generation of music lovers.

Review: Live In Montreal documents a live performance by the towering rock titans Babe Ruth in April 1975, at which point the band consisted of a total of four out of its five original members. Formerly only available via internet archive sites or in inferior quality, this rather legendary concert brought with it a nigh demonic energy, with the English hard rockers laying down one of their best documented performances by way of gnarly vocal snarlage from lead singer Ellie Hope and prime shreddage from the likes of Bernie Marsden and Ray Knott. The band notably broke the USA and Canada; Live In Montreal is a testament to their popularity across the Atlantic, and hears a full-quality restoration of some heavy live renditions of such greats as 'Wells Fargo', 'Sad But Rich', 'Black Dog' and 'A Fistful Of Dollars'.

Review: The Beatles were quite possibly at their peak already by the time 1964 came around, certainly in terms of the adoration of their fans and the wild energy they brought to live shows. This set from that year captures that in mono and despite it only being one record it is packed with more than 20 early tunes from the Liverpudlian outfit. Plenty you will know like 'She Loves You' and 'I Saw her Standing There' but many you may not. Either way it is a fine reminder of the greatness of this band back from their earliest era.

Review: The newly reissued A Hard Day's Night captures The Beatles at the height of their early brilliance. Released during the frenzy of Beatlemania, the album shows John Lennon and Paul McCartney's unstoppable songwriting partnership. From the iconic opening chord of the title track to the infectious energy of hits like 'Can't Buy Me Love' and 'I Should Have Known Better', it brims with youthful exuberance and sheer musical craftsmanship. While Rubber Soul marked a shift towards experimentation, A Hard Day's Night thrives on its confidence and irresistible pop-rock melodies. The film songs on Side-1 deliver unforgettable moments, but the overlooked gems on Side-2 reveal the band's deepening musical sophistication. With tight harmonies, catchy hooks, and electrifying performances, this is a reminder of The Beatles' unparalleled ability to blend fun with musical mastery. Even today, A Hard Day's Night stands as a landmark album that is always a welcomed reissue to press and enjoy.

Within this, at least a handful of people have posed the question: "if the Beatles had done an MTV Unplugged concert in approx 1968 what stripped down classics might be in the resulting brilliant Unplugged Album?" Forgive the grammar - we took the speculative quandary verbatim from an internet that long-since descended into a linguistic void. Nevertheless, those stumped by this query will be delighted to know that such a record does exist for us to use as a touchstone. Albeit without the MTV bit. And what tracks made the cut? Well, 'Why My Guitar Gently Weeps', 'Revolution', 'Julia', 'Cry Baby Cry', and 'The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill', among others.

Broadcast on Swedish TV, the performance is known for technical issues including neither John nor Ringo's mics working, meaning you've to go with just backing vocals for 'You Can't Do That', and 'I Wanna Be Your Man', while both John and Paul would receive electric shocks from ungrounded microphones. The live collection also boasts cuts taken from their earlier 1964 visit, including the four-minute medley version of all five of their UK hit singles from 1962-1963, while marking the final time either 'Love Me Do' or 'Please Please Me' would ever be performed live on stage.

If you use the online network-cum-existential-need-to-know community Reddit, then it won't surprise you to learn there's a vast and almost unfathomably broad sub group dedicated to The Beatles.

Review: There are some very special Beatles reissues landing right now and this is one of them: The Lost Studio Tapes 1962-1964 comes on limited hand-numbered blue vinyl double 10". It is a remarkable collection that takes a deep dive into the world of what might have been as these priceless recordings reveal the creative process that shaped cultural history. Featured is the Beatles' audition for Decca Records, the most controversial recording session in popular music history. Despite the impressive tape produced during this session, Decca Records famously decided not to sign the Beatles. Now, nearly 60 years later, you can listen in and decide for yourself what they were

Review: Today, pop stars use visual vehicles to further their reach, image and reputation every day, but back when A Hard Day's Night arrived, the idea of casting a band in a musical movie in which they played themselves, produced simultaneously with a studio album, was still more than novel. Largely unproven territory, the runaway success of this concept would go on to set a precedent. 36 hours in the lives of the group as they prepare for a TV performance, it not only breaks the theatrical fourth wall, it speaks to what was then an emerging appetite among fans to see more rounded, 3D renditions of their idols - now mainstreamed. Inspiring countless TV and cinema releases, from Ferry Cross The Mersey with Gerry and the Pacemakers, to the Monkees' series, A Hard Day's Night remains one of the best examples of the Beatles as revolutionary pop stars.

Review: Jeff Beck's Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer Group Live captures an explosive blend of jazz-rock fusion, performed by virtuosos at the peak of their powers. Released in 1977, this live album is a hidden gem from Beck's extensive career, filled with electrifying improvisation and remarkable chemistry between the musicians. The album, now available as a reissue from Mobile Fidelity, offers audiophile quality for the first time, sourced from the original master tapes. The clarity, detail, and dynamic range are astonishing, with Beck's guitar and Hammer's synthesisers engaging in a sonic conversation that feels almost visual. The performances here, particularly on tracks like 'Freeway Jam' and 'Darkness/Earth in Search of the Sun' showcase the band's synergy, pushing the boundaries of live recording. Beck's collaboration with Hammer shines throughout, resulting in a unique listening experience that remains as thrilling now as it was during the 1976-77 tour. Fans of musical innovation and superb sound quality won't want to miss this reissue.

Available in limited numbers (only 1,000 of this CD version was pressed), it not only includes the freshly remastered original album in full, but also three alternate versions, rare bonus cut 'Fade Away', and a raucous live recording of title track 'Albatross'. The original album remains a timeless alt-rock classic where raw guitar riffs, bluesy solos and Ian Thurnley's distinctive lead vocals wrap around thickset bass and punchy drums. For proof, check standouts 'Wolves', 'Glass Room' and the rowdy 'The Rest of the World'.

Review: Black Country Communion's fifth studio album, V, marks the return of the powerhouse supergroup after seven years, showcasing the unparalleled talents of Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham, and Derek Sherinian. Fusing the best of British and American classic hard-rock and blues-rock, the album delivers a tour de force of earth-shattering rock music. 'Enlighten,' the latest single from the album, exemplifies the band's evolution both lyrically and musically. Penned by Hughes and Bonamassa, the song delves into themes of self-awareness and spiritual awakening, with Hughes' emotive vocals and Bonamassa's intricate guitar work driving the message home. Produced by Kevin Shirley, the track captures the essence of Black Country Communion's dynamic sound, showcasing their growth and mutual admiration as artists. As a band deeply rooted in rock and blues traditions, Black Country Communion has earned a formidable reputation for their songwriting and electrifying live performances. Enlighten serves as a tantalising preview of the album's full potential, promising a vibrant new chapter for the band and their fans worldwide.

American blues-slanted rock band the Black Crowes put out their second album The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion back in May 1992. It was the first time Marc Ford had featured on lead guitar in place of Jeff Cease who was sacked the year before. It also marked the first time Eddie Harsch joined on keys and set a record at the time for being the first album to feature four rock number ones, and the album itself also climbed to the top spot in the Billboard 200 album chart. Its mix of blues and Southern styles often sees the album being included in lists of the best rock albums of all time.

Review: One of the most important bands to come out of the punk era, Blondie changed pop music forever and this live performance at the Paradise Ballroom in Boston on May 27, 1978, sees the band just before mainstream success hit. Broadcast live on WBCN-FM, the show highlights their raw energy and the tight synergy between the band members. Debbie Harry, with her unique blend of punk swagger and glam allure, commands the stage as Blondie delivers a high-energy set that mixes their punk roots with emerging new wave influences. Songs like 'X Offender', 'Denis' and 'Rip Her to Shreds' are packed with punchy rhythms and catchy hooks, while deeper tracks like 'Youth Nabbed As Sniper' and 'Man Overboard' hint at the band's growing sonic complexity. This live recording not only demonstrates Blondie's ability to command a crowd but also marks the beginning of their ascent to global stardom with Parallel Lines. A perfect snapshot of Blondie during a transformative period with an energetic performance, when their influence on the evolution of punk and new wave music was just beginning.

Review: Blue Oyster Cult's Spectres, reissued on vinyl, shows the band at a pivotal point in their career. Known for blending hard rock with dark, atmospheric elements, this 1977 album contains some of their most memorable tracks. The iconic opener 'Godzilla' sets the tone, with its powerful riffs and cinematic imagery. Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser's guitar work shines throughout, particularly on tracks like 'Golden Age of Leather' and 'R.U. Ready to Rock'? What sets Spectres apart is its haunting mood, especially evident in songs like 'I Love the Night' and the eerie closer, 'Nosferatu'. These tracks sees the band's talent for creating chilling atmospheres with both vocals and instrumentation. The balladry of 'I Love the Night' is particularly striking, a standout even in a discography filled with dark gems. Spectres remains an excellent record that perfectly blends Blue Oyster Cult's signature sound with a more accessible, yet still shadowy, rock approach.

Review: They may have been formed in 1967 in Long Island near New York, Blue Oyster Cult are synonymous with the 70s, scoring numerous hits and filling arenas with their neat fusion of Californian-style stoner rock and more pop/rock/metal influences. The title track of this 17 track best of is obviously their best known song, one that is almost universally known, from its weaving opening to its iconic cowbell-whacking. But there are plenty of hidden depths to the band's history revealed here. 'Shooting Shark', for instance, given a very 80s production job that goes heavy on the synths and Linn drums, is one of a number of collaborations with queen of New York punk Patti Smith. 'Godzilla', meanwhile, proves they can successfully inject an element of funkiness into their approach too, not a million miles from Frank Zappa's sublime 'I Am The Slime' in its feel. No better time to join the Cult.

Review: Fandabidozi, the debut album from Bobbie Dazzle, led by singer Sian Greenway, is a joyful tribute to the glam rock of the 1970s. Drawing influence from icons like David Bowie, T. Rex, and The Sweet, the album manages to celebrate the past while still feeling fresh and vibrant. Opener 'Lightning Fantasy' kicks things off with a punch, featuring lyrics written by Greenway's father, offering a deeply personal touch. Tracks like 'Merry-Go-Round' and 'Revolution' channel the groovy, flamboyant spirit of glam rock, while 'Lady on Fire' delivers a heavier, guitar-driven edge reminiscent of 70s rock. The album is packed with energy, charisma, and a sense of fun, with 'Back to the City' and 'It's Electric' standing out as lively anthems. Greenway's powerful vocals and the band's tight instrumentation keep the momentum strong from start to finish. Fandabidozi is a bold and glittering ode to rock 'n' roll's most theatrical era, blending nostalgic charm with contemporary flair. It's an exciting introduction to Bobbie Dazzle's vibrant world.

Review: Reissued Sounds reissue Marc Bolan's first posthumous album, originally released in 1981, four years after the T Rex bandleader's death in a tragic car crash. Consisting of outtakes and demos recorded by Bolan in 1966, some of the songs would later be recorded by the remaining members of T. Rex; though most of these appeared in rawer form as part of the album The Beginning Of Doves in 1974. The title number brings the usual Bolanesque mix of raunchy vocal performances and fuzz-packed guitar rolls, while the likes of 'I'm Weird' and 'The Perfumed Garden Of Gulliver Smith' are undeniably more experiental offerings, it's a marker of where Bolan might have headed as an artist had his career noit been cut short so suddenly.

It's packed with recordings from Marc Bolan's rehearsal sessions for his band T Rex's 1974 Truck Off Tour, so it offers an intimate glimpse into the creative process before the iconic tour. Specifically captured on January 14, 1974, the sessions are of course raw and imperfect which makes them all the more alive and real while the musicality that defined Bolan's sound still comes through. All royalties from this release are to be donated to the Light Of Love Foundation, benefiting the Marc Bolan School of Music & Film, ensuring his legacy continues to inspire future generations of musicians.

Review: Bon Jovi's Greatest Hits is a definitive collection that captures the band's enduring legacy, now available on a double LP vinyl set. Originally released in 2010, this compilation showcases the anthems that defined Bon Jovi's first three decades and solidified their place in rock history. With hits like 'Livin' on a Prayer,' 'You Give Love a Bad Name,' and 'Bad Medicine,' the album is an example to the band's ability to craft unforgettable, arena-filling tracks. The vinyl release includes 16 tracks, offering a balanced mix of Bon Jovi's iconic 80s anthems and their later successes like 'It's My Life' and 'Have a Nice Day.' Each song is a reminder of why Bon Jovi became a staple in the rock genre, with their powerful hooks, relatable lyrics, and the unmistakable voice of Jon Bon Jovi. The album also features two tracks recorded specifically for this compilation, 'What Do You Got?' and 'No Apologies,' which blend seamlessly with the classics, that shows the band's consistency over the years. The selection on this double LP highlights the band's versatility, from the power ballad 'Always' to the anthemic 'Wanted Dead or Alive.' This compilation is a celebrating of rock music history.

Review: While not one of David Bowie's best-known achievements, masterminding the world's biggest-ever 'non-TV' satellite broadcast is undoubtedly an impressive one. It took place at London's Riverside Studios in 2003, with the Thin White Duke - accompanied by his regular backing band - performing then new album Reality in its entirety, live to 86 cinemas in 26 countries. This Record Store Day release presents the concert in its entirety (the encore was not broadcast at the time), delivering a superb document of a unique event. Of course, Bowie was in fine form, with the immersive sound mix by regular collaborator Tony Visconti capturing the legendary artist at the peak of his powers.

Review: This special reissue of David Bowie's Young Americans album drops on the exact day of its Golden Jubilee. It was the late, great creative maverick's nine studio album and as always found him broadening his musical horizons. He embraced what he described "plastic soul" and it worked as this album gave him his first ever number one in the US with 'Fame' which was co-written with John Lennon and Carlos Alomar, who at the time played guitar with Bowie. It has been remastered for this reissue and cut at half speed so you can really luxuriate in the details.

Review: Celebrating its 50th anniversary, this pivotal moment in Bowie's career emerged from his fascination with Philadelphia International Records and the disco-infused sounds dominating dance clubs. Recorded at Sigma Sound Studios mid-tour, Bowie's pivot to "plastic soul" was both a bold departure and a reflection of his adaptability as he morphed out of the Ziggy Stardust persona. The album features collaborations with important figures like guitarist Carlos Alomar, whose funk riff would anchor 'Fame', and a then-unknown Luther Vandross, who contributed backup vocals and songwriting. 'Fame' and the title tracks became standouts, blending funk, soul and Bowie's unique flair. The reimagined 'Fascination' and dreamy 'Win' showed the album's versatility, while covers like Lennon's 'Across the Universe' help balance out the album while highlighting Bowie's willingness to experiment. Though the album is daring as Diamond Dogs or Station to Station, it holds its own with a mix of hits and enjoyable fillers, solidifying Bowie as a trailblaser in blending genres. This half-speed mastered reissue revitalises the sound, bringing clarity and depth to an album that remains a iconic album in Bowie's catalogue.

Praised by critics upon its original release, decades on and a long time after the man himself has left us, it still stands up. Listening back now you're struck by the creativity of the then 19-year-old Londoner all over again.

Review: David Bowie's groundbreaking debut album is getting a vibrant revival with an expanded reissue on double CD. The original 14-track selection is here - opener 'Uncle Arthur' is probably the best known of the lot - but this version comes crammed with extras. 'The Laughing Gnome', Bowie's breakthrough single, may have a touch of novelty about it but it's still charming and irresistible, give or take the odd pun anyway, and here in two different versions. 'The London Boys' - later covered by Marc Bolan's T-Rex - is as close to a definition of the swinging 60s as it gets. There's even a Love You Till Tuesday version of 'Space Oddity'. A comprehensive introduction to Bowie's blossoming talent.

Review: David Bowie's Rock 'n' Roll Star! chronicles the boy from Bromley's transformative journey that culminated in his Ziggy Stardust masterpiece. Spanning from February 1971 to the recording of 1972's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, this compilation presents 14 rare and previously unreleased tracks that trace Bowie's artistic metamorphosis. From early Ziggy Session takes to alternative versions and outtakes, this vinyl release offers an intimate glimpse into Bowie's creative process. Each track reveals a different facet of the artist, from the proto-glam of 'Hang On To Yourself' to the soaring balladry of 'Holy Holy.' The album culminates with two iconic performances: an energetic Top Of The Pops rendition of 'Starman' and an alternative version of 'John, I'm Only Dancing' that showcases Bowie's diverse musical talents. Mastered at half-speed, this black vinyl LP provides an immersive and nuanced listening experience.

Review: David Bowie's Diamond Dogs is a seminal album in his career, released in 1974 amid the glam rock era. The album plunges into a dystopian world, with Bowie adopting the persona of Halloween Jack, a feral survivor in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Songs like 'Rebel Rebel' and 'Diamond Dogs' capture the album's raw energy and cynicism, while '1984' reflects Bowie's fascination with George Orwell's novel. Diamond Dogs remains a very important record to Bowie's artistic vision and musical prowess. While many remember the album as the transition period between Ziggy Stardust and The Thin White Duke, the music is equally as memorable. Its themes of alienation, rebellion, and survival continue to resonate with listeners today, making this anniversary edition a valuable addition to any Bowie fan's collection.

Review: David Bowie's live shows were as unique as his recordings. This one from his time in Japan captures him at work on May 16, 1990 as the legendary performer was at the height of his Sound+Vision Tour, a celebration of his greatest hits and a farewell to older material. The Tokyo Dome show showcased Bowie's magnetic stage presence as he worked through his repertoire and blended theatrics with masterful musicianship. Featuring timeless tracks like 'Space Oddity' and 'Heroes,' the performance highlighted Bowie's unparalleled artistry all backed by a dynamic band and cutting-edge production which makes for a great listen all these years on.

Review: David Bowie's first LP, released in 1967, remains a fascinating collection that offers a glimpse into his future career. Tracks like 'She's Got Medals' showcase early gender-bending themes, while 'Please Mr. Gravedigger' and 'Uncle Arthur' delve into dark, quirky narratives unlike anything else in his discography. 'We Are Hungry Men' foreshadows dystopian themes, depicting a world driven to cannibalism due to food scarcity. While some songs highlight human frailties with sharp observations, others like 'Love You Till Tuesday' and 'Maid of Bond Street' are irresistibly catchy despite their family-entertainment style arrangements. This album stands out in Bowie's catalogue for its uniqueness and the clear divergence from his later, more rock-oriented work. Now reissued on green vinyl, this LP invites a new generation to appreciate Bowie's early artistic exploration.

Review: It's 50 years since Diamond Dogs was released and it still sounds way ahead of the game. Not long after 1972 and the shock dissolution of the Spiders From Mars, this is the sound of Bowie discovering and developing both his most experimental side - see the spoken word dystopian opening 'Future Legend' or the sludgy spacerock workout 'Sweet Thing (Reprise)'- and a new groove-laden funkiness evident in the triumphant title track, the funk-inspired '1984' and the album's biggest hit, 'Rebel Rebel'. Bowie at the very height of his game, a place he would stay for quite some time after this tour de force.

Review: Boz Scaggs' 1969 album, blending Southern rock, blues and r&b, wasn't a commercial success but it set the stage for his future successes. Recorded at Muscle Shoals with co-producer Jann Wenner, the album captures the raw energy and magic of a remarkable collaboration. Scaggs' smooth, mellow vocals blend seamlessly with the legendary Muscle Shoals rhythm section, led by Duane Allman's iconic guitar work. The album spans multiple genresifrom country-tinged 'Waiting for a Train' to the sultry blues of 'Loan Me a Dime'. The latter, in particular, became a standout, with its extended, fiery guitar solos and a signature groove that captured the imagination of FM rock stations. The album's charm lies in its organic, unpretentious feel, as Scaggs and the musicians create something truly magical over six days of spontaneous recording. It's a celebration of Southern soul with a West Coast twist and it remains a fascinating glimpse into an artist finding his voice in the heart of Muscle Shoals.

Review: In the 70s, sharing a name with the main protagonist of the Peanuts comic strip got you nowhere. No, it's talent that got you going: no sooner did the swelling vocal lopes of Charles Brown, only one or two letters remiss of the former identity, blew the band Sleepy Creek away, did they set about recording this establishing record. Then only in high school, Charles Brown nonetheless laid down the eponymous, deeply emotionally intelligent ballad, decrying the retreat into privacy as a misappropriation of the act of love. Now on top of this star single comes this 15-song LP, which gathers Brown's solo and band work from 1976-82; Jon Freeman's enclosed essay dissects the origin story of this private press pioneer.
