Review: It's understandable if you're skeptical about hearing the word supergroup as it's overused and often applied where it's an exaggeration. It's the same situation with the word genius. But a genius supergroup is an appropriate description for Crosby, Still, Nash and Young. You just have to look at the other bands that they've been in between them - The Hollies, Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young, The Byrds... It's God-tier stuff. Part of the magic of their psychedelia-tinged folk rock and harmonies is how well they lock in together. It's as if they're cut from the same LSD-soaked cloth; they sound like an extension of one another metamorphosed into one and leaving their individual self behind. Another aspect of their credibility as performers is how consistent they were and how powerful they were live. And whilst it's fairly common to find scratchy recordings of them playing big shows there's a charming intimacy to the radio broadcasts that makes it feel like an uninterrupted close-up with you the sole guest at the show. Squint and you'll feel you're there - transported back to the golden age of songwriting.

Review: Times have changed dramatically since Hysteria exploded into the global album charts, hitting number one in both the US and UK. A follow up to Def Leppard's 1983 breakthrough LP, Pyromania, the record landed around 12 months later and catapulted the Sheffield band - now almost a decade young - into the Premier League of hard rock-cum-perfume-heavy metal groups via tracks like 'Pour Some Sugar On Me', 'Animal', and 'Armageddon It'. All three feature on this live album, which includes a slew of massive hits from Def Leppard's storied, decade spanning back catalogue to date, going someway to doing the outfit justice in terms of their spellbinding on stage performances. Tight enough to make you feel taught, immediately infectious and instrumentally far ahead of so many peers, 40 years after the biggest success of their legacy the sound may no longer be cutting edge, but its impact remains every bit as powerful.

Review: Iron Maiden are one of the world's most successful bands. They clocked up numerous hits, sold-out world tours, and chart-topping singles and were no slouches in the live area. Proving that beyond doubt is the highly collectable and limited edition picture disc which saw them deliver an electrifying performance in this concert broadcast on Dutch radio back almost a quarter of a century ago in the year 2000. The show captures the band's remarkable ability to energise and captivate live audiences with their powerful and dynamic presence across many of their most well-loved hits.

Review: Argentinian crowds are probably the most exciting to play to in the world. And Marilyn Manson at this time had just released his Trent Reznor-produced masterpiece LP Antichrist Superstar and was at the peak of his game, so to say a ticket to this show at the Velez Sarsfield stadium in Buenos Aires was hot property is an understatement. This is about as good as heavy metal rock n' roll gets and not many will come close to the thrills that a 90s Marilyn Manson show brought. The setlist is monumental, with singles from Antichrist Superstar such as industrial metal banger 'The Beautiful People' and 'Tourniquet', which sounds like the blueprint to the nu-metal boom that was to come, among the highlights. Unusually for a live album, it's taut, with the track list limited to 11 songs, but this is for good reason. In a moment of Spinal Tap-esque horror, shortly after the final track you hear on the album, the band's drummer Ginger Fish received an electric shock whilst playing and the show ended abruptly. Putting his body on the line like that to deliver this blistering set is an heroic deed and it's a fantastic consolation to have this show fossilised onto vinyl.
