Notes: Control Eurorack using your breath with this unique module from ADDAC. A melodica pipe connected to the front panel allows you to generate two independent CV signals from breath inputs. Funky.

Supplier's Notes:
This module expands ADDAC's line of expressive controls, it follows the heritage of wind/breath controllers with one major difference, the pipe has no air escape creating pressure inside the tube controlled by the user's mouth. For a seasoned woodwind or brass musicians this working principle may sound unorthodox, however this way pressure can be controlled for longer without the need to breath in or learning circular breathing techniques. It's relatively easy to control the pressure in your mouth while still breathing through the nose.

The module is provided with a standard melodica pipe which connects to an air filter (providing a receptacle for condensation to form and isolate the sensor) and lastly connects to the module frontpanel.

The signal captured by the sensor is then sent to two independent sections with exactly the same functions as seen in the signal flow diagram below.

As an example the two sections can be used with different settings to independently control the VCA and VCF of any standard analogue voice patch.

Pipe

ADDAC are using a standard Melodica pipe into an air filter that will keep condensation away from the sensor. The air filter is then connected to the frontpanel sensor input using a silicone tube.

Sensor calibration

[RESPONSE] is the main control to calibrate the pressure curve, the knob goes from exponential to logarithmic with linear at 12 o'clock. Exponential will be more reactive to high pressures, logarithmic to lower pressures.

Hold function

This feature allows to hold the current voltage value with the hold is engaged (button led on), the state can be changed either by the push button in a latching manner (push to change state) or via the gate input in a momentary manner (hold on while gate is on)

Notes: Most musicians use their feet as an extension of their playing, either pushing piano pedals, sustain pedals, guitar pedals.

However, feet have been underrated while using modulars. In the past ADDAC released a series of modules using sustain and expression pedals for triggering or controlling signals to help breaking the ice. While these are small and still useful for simple uses, ADDAC wanted to create something more specific this time.

This new solution features 5 footswitches and 5 inputs for external expression pedals with independent controls for each.

The aim was to save HP rack space and so created an external floor pedal with all the footswitches and controls, keeping the module HP to the minimum possible featuring only the 10 outputs and the connector to the external floor pedal.

There are many expression pedals in the market and although the most common one is the TRS pedal there are 2 other standards: RTS and TS.

All five ADDAC311 inputs expect TRS pedals, if you're looking into buying one choose a TRS pedal.

If you already have other pedals channel 4 features jumpers that can be switched in order to be used with a RTS pedal.

Channel 5 features a jumper that can be switched in order to be used with a TS pedal.

External expression pedals are required for their outputs to work.

Notes: Gritty drum voice module based on new old stock Yamaha FM synthesis chips, also capable of a decent range of synth tones. User-friendly knobby interface with a decent range of CV inputs for modulation.

'Akemie's Taiko' is an authentic complete FM synthesis based drum voice created using original Yamaha IC's. It builds on the same technology used in the mighty Akemie's Castle but in a more complete triggered voice form featuring both signal generation and envelope shaping.

The module provides CV and direct control over a number of FM parameters including algorithm selection, operator release envelopes, ratios, waveforms & feedback. This gives a massive range of unique sounds.

The voice is able to track 1 volt per octave allowing it to be used for melodic lines as well as percussion. Also optional 'frequency ramps' can be enabled for additional audio effects.

Notes: The Seabee is a multi-chorus pedal that delivers the finest analogue bucket brigade chorus tones, but like any Beetronics, it goes a few steps further. By digitally controlling the chorus delay time, the Bees have created Harmochorus - a never-before-heard pitch shifting modulation that can certainly inspire new genres.

Three Chorus modes provide the classic, lush chorus and vibe sounds we all love, with each mode offering the ability to control the effect in different ways. Vary between two different speeds and/or depths, go from zero to full depth intensity, or even increase the chorus delay time for a whole new spectrum of sounds.

Three Harmochorus modes give you a unique and inspiring new approach to the effect. The easiest way to explain it's that, when clean, it sounds like angel bees are accompanying you, and when paired with some buzz, it sounds like a swarm of killer bees producing the most dangerous pitch shifting modulation are after you! Notes: Really nice melody sequencer module from Flame. Create patterns and then modify them using features like note repeats, transposing options or even the built-in distance sensor.

Supplier's Notes:
"TON" is a 12HP wide Eurorack live sequencer module for creating two note sequences. There are two 1V/octave outputs with GATE/NOTE/VELOCITY. Notes can also be sent via MIDI. Both note tracks are independent of each other and can be used in different octave spreads. In addition to the analog connection, the module has full MIDI functionality. It can be synchronized via analogue clock or via MIDI.

The sequencer is designed as a looper. It plays a pattern of up to four bars in a loop. The notes can be played (or deleted) quantized with two buttons. One button is used for note repeats, another for setting individual events. The pitch is determined by either the potentiometer or the built-in distance sensor. The sensor works in a range of about 1 to 40 cm and is independent of extraneous light. Even bright sunlight does not affect it.

A 1-octave mini-keyboard allows transposing on the fly and setting a scale. Since the module has two CV inputs, it can also be used as a two-channel quantizer or arpeggiator. All settings of the current pattern are simply saved together in a patch. There are 5 banks with 7 seats each (per mini-keyboard) available. This allows up to 35 patterns to be managed. The patches can also be selected via CV or MIDI program change and can be saved and reloaded on the fly.

The pattern can be manipulated during and after the import with eg: gate length, velocity, random, last step, hold, mute, glide, scale and transposition. Both tracks can have different settings. With TRACK-Link, however, parameters can also be applied to both tracks at the same time. This is helpful, for example, with transpositions or duophonic playing.

Notes: A couple of years back, Frequency Central developed Cosmic Background as a standalone percussion voice. The concept was to bundle all required sub-modules behind one panel, pre-patched, yet also fully modular, with each sub-module having its own inputs and outputs. This proved to be a very popular product, but Frequency Central decided to replace Cosmic Background's noise generator with a VCO (and do a few other tweaks), creating a cute little fully modular synth voice ripe for sequencing - and that's how Dark Star was born!

Dark Star consists of 4 sections:

Voltage Controlled Oscillator based on AS3340 with sawtooth, triangle and pulse waveforms
Voltage Controlled Filter with lowpass and highpass options, Drive control, Sweep control which attenuates amount of Release CV

Additionally, each section is fully modular in it's own right, so there are patch points for:

Here are some useful patches to try:

Release CV output to PWM CV input, for swept PWM

Use a multiple to patch 1V/oct to Release CV input, lower notes will have longer release, higher notes will have shorter release

Notes: Mûmack is built from a temperature-stabilized analog source producing the three classic waveforms: triangle, saw, rectangle. This basic signal can be altered or enriched in several ways, which can be combined with each other, and associated with one VCA per mode.

Peak Compressor:
In the central position the signal is not modified. Turning the potentiometer to the right or to the left will compress the signal positively or negatively. It is this signal that will then feed Usual, Mûm and Hack. An LFO is dedicated to the compressor, controllable in speed and amplitude. A CV input with attenuator can also control the compressor.

USUAL:
The three waveforms are freely mixable, a CV input and a potentiometer can change the shape of the rectangle wave (PWM). The compressor intervening upstream, it can strongly influence the final form and the amplitude of USUAL. This produces complex analog waveforms, moving in time with the LFO or the CV input. The linear potentiometer makes it possible to mix the signal with the others, and to dose the volume of the direct output. The rotary potentiometer acts as an attenuator for the VCA input.

MÛM:
The Waveform potentiometer move the waveform of Mûm continuously from a attenuated triangle to a more pronounced triangle, then to a sinusoid and finally to a square wave. An LFO allows you to add a vibrato adjustable in speed and amplitude. The linear potentiometer makes it possible to mix the signal with the others, and to dose the volume of the direct output. The rotary potentiometer acts as an attenuator for the VCA input.

HACK:
Mûm's signal is taken up in a Wavefolder + compressor. Depending on the settings of the Peak compressor, and the three LFOs, we obtain complex, moving, organic waveforms. Again the linear potentiometer allows to mix the signal with the others, and to adjust the volume of the direct output. The rotary potentiometer acts as an attenuator for the VCA input.

ALL:
The three channel (Usual, Mûm, Hack) are mixed and brought together in a single output. The output volume is adjustable and a CV input with attenuator works like a VCA.

MIXER & VCA
The voltages produced by Mûmack, as is the case with many analog VCOs, can be high. The mixer allows them to be attenuated if necessary. Each of the three channels, and the product of the three, can be controlled by the VCA, with attenuator. The VCA is designed to add distortion at high values. The mixer is exponential for more subtle adjustments in low values.

Analogue dry through means that the guitar's dry signal maintains a 100% pure and unprocessed analogue signal adding only the delay you choose. Other new features include enhanced MIDI functionality, 100 factory loaded presets, and an updated collection of delay effects easily accessible with the pedal's intuitive interface. In addition to the basic 12 delay engines available on the front panel, the NEMESIS Delay ADT also features 12 extended delay engines for a total of 24 engines in all. These additional "back 12" effect engines offer a variety of tonal options and can be selected using the Neuro App or via MIDI. Any of these effects can be used to overwrite the default effect engines on the effect dial or can be stored as user presets.
