Notes: The 1-row QUICKSWAP CASE for AE modular is the high-end case for AE modular. It is based on a sturdy metal chassis with a beautiful matte black powder coating and - the key feature of this case - allows to plug in AE modules without any screws! The design makes sure that the modules sit really firm in the case and the bus connection is established automatically by the integrated bus board, so need for the separate bus cable known from the standard AE cases. This means, rearranging your modular system can't be easier!

This is the powered version that includes the case as described here, a Strom+ module, a Strom power supply (AC/DC adapter) and a Strom busboard with connector cable. You only need to plug modules into the case and you’re ready to go!

One case fits 84HP of modules with a depth of 70mm.

The cases can be used with an incredible amount of flexibility to swap in an out full rows and create larger setups using the Case Connectors and Case Standoffs.

The side cheeks are made of high-quality Finnish plywood and are coated with a durable transparent melamine film. The black surface is hardwearing and crack resistant as well as easy to clean.

All cases are shipped with a set of 4 rubber feet and 50 x M3 screws.

***POWER SET FOR EU AND AUSTRALIA 220-230V:
The Pittsburgh Modular Structure 208 and Structure 360 eurorack enclosures use a switching power supply that needs manually set to the correct AC input voltage. The internal switch has already be properly set for 220-230 VAC. This setting works for the EU and Australia or other countries that use 220-230 VAC power.
For use in countries that use 100-120 VAC power, such as North America and Japan, the switch inside the case on the AC/DC regulator needs to be switched to the left. The switch is marked with a Yellow sticker printed with "AC input voltage can be selected by switch. Check input voltage avoiding damage before power on." The switch is located on the side of the enclosure below the arrow.

With years of research and two case lines under our belt, we decided to start over and produce a line of cases for the next generation of eurorack synthesizers. The eurorack modular ecosystem is expanding faster than ever and manufacturers are constantly pushing eurorack cases and power supplies to the limits. What started as a power supply designed to drive primarily analog synthesizers has transformed into a supply that needs to simultaneously meet the unique demands of sensitive analog circuitry, power hungry digital processors, and ground sensitive user interface modules.

We started with what matters most. Clean power. A lot of it. Up to 3x the amount of clean power available in cases from other brands. Next we turned our focus to the enclosure itself and there was only one goal. Make the case stronger. Our engineers tested countless combinations utilizing different types of wood, joints, adhesives, assembly techniques, and hardware to ensure that Structure cases are as durable as they are beautiful.

Notes: Especially when adding new modules to your AE modular system, it's recommended to check the status of the supply voltage. When too many modules are supplied by one MASTER or POWER module, the supply voltage can drop too low below 5 volts; this can cause some issues like oscillators losing the tracking/calibration, digital modules can show some malfunction and so on.

To make the voltage check convenient, you can use the VOLTAGE TESTER: You can plug it either into a free socket on the bus cable, or via the included adapter, to the extension header at the front/rear side of the case. Then, 5 LEDs show the supply voltage, either green for "ok" (supply voltage is in the range of 4.9 - 5.1 volts), or other colours for too high or too low voltage in steps of 0.1 volts.

This AC Power Adapter comes with a locking DC extension cable. The connector of the DC extension cable screws down to the DC jack, preventing noise interference when the cable is bumped.

There are two voltage options:
12V: used with original 5A Power Supply and newer Five Amp Power.
19V: used with Deluxe Power, Super Power, Case Power Mini and Case Power.
Note: If you are replacing a power brick on a Synthrotek power supply, use the same voltage as was originally sent (unless the brick is 15V, then change to it to 19V).

Comes with a 3-prong power cable, which will work in the US and some other countries. If you are in Europe, etc. you can get a separate volex connector that will work in your country. We don't carry international connecting cables, but you can find them easily on the web.

Notes: Omnitone designed these M3 screws so we don't have to deal with cumbersome screwdrivers anymore. Comes in a black tin with an Omnitone sticker on to (peels off cleanly if you would like to use for other things).

Notes: It's always nice to have some extra power cables handy. Omnitone's standard modular power cables come in a pack of 5. Each power cable is 26cm (~10 inches) long.

Notes: The uBASE-QS 2 module is the carrier (or BASE) for four micro modules and explicitly designed for use in the QUICKSWAP CASEs. This carrier module can be plugged into the QS case as any other module; then, the uModules can be plugged in and removed itself into it, even with the AE system running, so you can reconfigure or add needed functions in form of micro modules "on the fly".

A number of sockets provide access to the bus signals, like CV, gate, cotroller, MIDI start/stop/clock.

Included is a small "key" to lift also modules without knobs in an easy way.

Notes: The uCASE is designed to hold AE micro modules of 1/3 size. It is available in the same widths like the other AE cases (12, 16, 20 units). It contains sockets for uModules over the whole width, so no need for extra carriers for the uModules. The uModules can be plugged in and removed easily, even with the AE system running, so you can reconfigure or add needed functions in form of micro modules "on the fly".

The bus connection to the parent case is made with a short ribbon cable, so the uCASE gets it's power supply plus other bus lines from there.

The functionality is basically the same as the uBASE module; here, to groups of four uModules the bus lines lie CV, GATE, MIDI clock etc. can be assigned individually (not used by the currently available uModules, but will become relevant for future uModules).

Included is a small "key" to lift also modules without knobs in an easy way.
