Richard Rozen - "The Legend Of The Son Of The Perlman" (7:07)
Review: Carnedd Llewelyn (Llewelyn's Cairn) by Luis Luchetti and Richard Rozen is a compelling 12" release on translucent violet vinyl that offers a refined blend of techno with a late-night appeal. Side-1 begins with Luis Luchetti's 'Jeilalou,' a deep late-night groove that gradually introduces soft, beautiful chords, adding a layer of warmth to the track's atmosphere. 'Encantado En Conocerlas' follows with a smooth and airy techno vibe, characterised by its atmospheric and flighty blend. On Side-2, Richard Rozen delivers 'Spell Two Fifty Four,' a track that combines melodic tones with a high-tech rhythm, creating a hypnotic and engaging sound. The EP concludes with 'The Legend Of The Son Of The Perlman,' a catchy, late-night house track that merges subtle energy with an alluring groove. Carnedd Llewelyn is a another excellent record out from this strong label.

Locked Club & RLGN - "Kill Me" (5:16)
Review: Electro monarchs Maelstrom, Locked Club and RLGN return to EP-making with a four-track array of acid bangers, happily working together on a split record to celebrate the pan-European electro scene. Their offering is unequal in quantity (2 Maelstrom and 3 Locked Club tunes) but is resolutely equal in heat; 'LA Nuit Est A Toi' is Maelstrom's standout, bleepy and suffocating in its generative, janky fright. Locked Club and RLGN follow up, 'Kill Me' being the best and most suicidally pushy techno track to soundtrack our nightmares.

Pumio Space - "Mario's Juice" (7:05)
Review: The Berlin-based 432HERTZ crew kicks on here with a new various artists 12" packed with electro heat. Rinaldo Makaj gets things underway with the serene grooves of 'Computational Universe', which has some of the nicest snares we've heard in some time. Rickie's 'Mesosphere' is a nice off balance sound with thumping kicks and melodic bass, then it's time to get sleazy and more than a little ghetto with the raw Electric City jam 'Escape From Reality.' Pumio Space brings a little colour and playfulness to closer 'Mario's Juice'.

Review: British label Clergy marks a decade in the game with a special 12" featuring a range of artists who have ties to the imprint. Stef Mendesidis comes with the trance tinged overtones of 'Hydra' and its slamming drums and bass blend. Regent's 'Decoder' is a more minimal sound but unfurls high speed with a deep vibe and Hertz Collision/Programma 101's 'Concrete Skin' is all about masterful loops and eerie synths. On the flip, 'Rebecca Delle Piane stands out with the heady minimalism and 90s techno vibes of 'Ten Doses Of Melatonin'.

Review: Kumquat returns with their second release, his time a various artists' EP packed with sleek tracks perfect for all sorts of movers and shakers. Four standout artists from the legendary French party scene deliver an irresistible blend of wonk and bounce across four groovy cuts. Noiro keeps it slinky and minimal on 'Yougoslash' then Belic & Mani get more stark and twisted with their tech sounds on 'The Flow.' Rancel's sound is laden with a libidinous sax line over clipped and crisp beats and Paradise City Breakers close down with the future tech of 'Mentalist.'

Tau (Vril Vintage Tool remix) (7:11)
Nebelgelb (feat The Metropolitan Narrative - Sleeparchive remix) (4:59)
Review: The smudged, dark and shadowy nature of the creepy artwork for this new 12" on TMN Trax is indicative of what to expect musically of this new label. It's a collab EP from Ones and Rasval with an appearance from The Metropolitan Narrative and remixes from Vril and Sleeparchive. 'Tau' is the deep and dubby roller that opens up with a grainy vibe and foggy atmosphere over muted drums, then 'Nebelgelb' gets more edgy with layers of subtle haunting pads and paranoid voices panning about the mix. Vril's contribution is a pacey, warm and lo-fi techno hypnotiser and Sleeparchive closes down with muted dub brilliance.

Fixon - "Clinging To The Roots" (5:21)
Review: It's time to strap in for another episode of Anaoh Invites, which is always a great way to lose your mind to some tripped out techno. Gaetano Parisio is the first one to boggle the brain with 'Human Ratio' layering up twisted synths and drums. Dig It's 'When I Get Home' is another mad melange of smeared and stretched synths, stabs and thunderous kicks that tugs you in many different directions at once. Raffaele Attanasio kees it straight up and funky with 'Ulisse' and Fixon taps into high speed dub and percussive rawness on 'Clinging To The Roots.'

Review: Luigi Madonna returns to Contempo with Sons of Napoli, a release that unites Naples' techno luminaries in a vibrant auditory homage to their city. Gaetano Parisio kicks off with 'Orbita' which blends pulsating rhythms and hypnotic synths into a cosmic journey. Luigi Madonna follows with 'One Coffee,' with its robust basslines and energising synths. Raffaele Attanasio's 'Arenhell' merges punchy beats with ominous synths and dynamic percussion, Markantonio's 'Funk It' infuses tight rhythms with groovy basslines and Manuel Di Martino's 'Take a Break' defies its title with relentless energy amongst many other DJ weapons.

Crystal Distortion - "Drumkode" (3:43)
69db - "The Tunnel (GB 001)" (7:26)
69db - "Trip-Le Time" (4:34)
Review: 'NET 23EP5' on Network 23 Records sees more lost classics from the Spiral Tribe production squad getting a reissue. On Side-1, Crystal Distortion's 'Beat Frequency' (2nd mix) wastes no time in establishing its dominance with a fast loop that's both banging and driving. Pushing the boundaries of intensity and percussion, this track is sinister in its execution, dumbfounding listeners with its relentless energy. Following suit, 'Drumkode' delves into heavy bass territory, infusing techno with elements of EBM, resulting in a raw and powerful sonic experience. Flipping to Side 2, 69db's "The Tunnel (Kgb 001)" offers up precise techno craftsmanship, characterised by mechanical sounds layered intricately to create a hypnotic atmosphere. Closing the EP, 'Trip-Le Time' takes listeners on a sci-fi journey, with broken beats and intriguing rhythms that defy convention.

Review: Milo Raad is back on Rotterdam's finest, Mord Records, with a fine follow-up to his last outing, the 'Blood Pressure' EP. This one opens at pace with 'Bushido' and its rushes of synth and hi hats, which sweep you off your feet in an instant. 'Flash Point' has a more stripped-back sound with a hypnotic meld of drums and kicks that makes for perfect 5am escapism. The deep techno of 'Yawara' is run through with eerie, searching synths that describe a desolate urban scene and 'Detour' is a final assault on both head and heel with its unrelenting drum pressure.

Divide & Conquer (7:37)
Review: Fresh from collaborating with fellow Dutch techno legend Speedy J, man-of-many-aliases Steve Rachmad (AKA Sterac, Sterac Electronics, Rachmad Project, Tons of Tones etc) makes his bow on Synchrophone. The French label has taken a deep dive into his catalogue and picked a couple of genuine gems to reissue. Both tracks originally appeared on the same Rotation Records release way back in 2000. On side A you'll find 'Tir Na Nog', a deliciously raw, jacking and crunchy workout in which stomping techno drums are peppered with hissing cymbal patterns and spacey stabs. Those stabs reappear on the more musically expansive 'Divide & Conquer', where warming deep house chords, clonking bass and sweat-soaked drums catch the ear.

Review: Rain & White Transit Van kick off a new collaborative project with this first EP on Damo B's Emotec label, and what an inspired cosmic trip it is. 'Cliffdive' is a subtle opener with thinking cosmic leads and lazy mid-tempo groves sweeping you up and depositing you amongst the stars. 'Castaway' then puts crunchy drum breaks front and centre, waiting around the edges with mystic chords and melancholic emotions. There is high-speed electro slickness to 'Park' complete with flashes of acid and 'Sin' closes with a mix of muted synth modulations, warped metal surfaces and bumping electro beats.

Cochet kicks off with some trance-infused prog techno, Doc Sleep offers jacked-up and analogue house, there is lithe cosmic tech from The Jaffa Kid and twisted machine sounds from Jack Bags, while Undsidedly's dreamy electro and The Mesmerist's peak time synth techno close down in style.

Collide (5:47)
Review: Disco-techno-house with a headily experimental palette from Puerto-Rican favourite Juan Ramos, an artist already well known and established for his many an off-kilter mix and OG production. Now on his second release for Bless You following 'Pulse', also released this year, this phallically titled record hears the stalwart continue to offer the best in the business, serving a further two rather long 'D's on top of a third rendezvous entitled 'Collision'. The former double-serving amounts to a twin stupefaction in sensuality and roughage, unusually spanning both the top and bottom sides of the record (plenty implied). 'Collide' leans further into the record's already asserted, yet evermore primeval logical ends, following up with a hardcore experiment in retching acid and woofing kettle drums.

Review: If you've ever been luck enough to attend the Freerotation music festival than plenty about this remix package will make sense. Not least the interpretation by event co-founder and modular synth hero Steevio, here delivering a remix on vinyl for the first time. Bringing in elements of jazz, ambient, field recordings, dub, house music and - albeit barely audible - subtle shades of tech, it's a sophisticated package that fully buys into the theory of electronic sounds being a form of high art. Running the gamut from the stepping, poised but decidedly free spirited 'Lucid' and Deadbeat's tense, drone-y take on'Sam Gimignano', to the lush keys and white noise of Andrea Cicheki's redo of 'Siegfried 2.0' and Dr Nojoke's beautifully blissed out smoky house, it's as dense as it is accomplished.

Review: After four years of work fusing acoustic and electronic sound worlds, Rand finally unveiled the fruits of their labours with Peripherie. The duo of concert pianist Jan Gerdes and minimal techno producer Dr. Nojoke have cooked up urban and sensitive music for piano and electronics that was all recorded live with no overdubs back in 2019 at Berlin's Chez-Cherie Studios. It was made across three pianos with improvisation at the heart of the process. It's a great collision of worlds, from dark and intense pieces of pulsing techno to more light and hopeful and empty soundscapes that perfectly blur the edges between the different tools used. Fans of Nils Frahm, Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto will enjoy digging into this one.

This excellently entitled label has another soundtrack to your fantasy morning eats, this time courtesy of Random Alias, which is a moniker so post-modern it hurts. The sounds are electro-based and uncompromising from the off: 'Keep Me High' hits harder than a quadruple espresso with its thumping kicks and squirreling synths. 'Fast Rate' is another slamming, tightly programmed electro workout and 'Solo In Space' will twist your mind inside out with its warped bass before 'Restless' is a glitchy and expressive monster.

Review: Left-of-centre electronic maverick Randomer returns with a new EP on Anetha's label, Mama Told Ya. After what we're told was something of a reflective hiatus, the UK artist delivers five emotionally charged tracks, all bar one of which are solo cuts with the other being one co-produced with Anetha. Thematically these cuts explore life's unpredictability and encourage embracing chaos and randomness. Drawing from his deep study of melodies, Randomer blends techno, trance, techstep and sacred choral music to create a cathartic journey across several different sound worlds here and it all adds up to a powerful, introspective listening experience.

Their inaugural Deadbeat Breaks compilation hears six out of ten full digital curations brought to a shadowy, space-invaded black vinyl truncation, with modern talking synth vomits from Olly Rant, booty bass hups from Hunter Starkings, hackney parroting hurtles from Rnbws, and a closing breakstep broil from Hooverian Blur.

Review: Hailing from Columbus, Ohio and bringing some of the Midwestern techno energy that makes scenes in nearby Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Detroit so revered, Shut Off Notice means business from the get-go. The first release on the label is a debut appearance from Rarelife, who knows exactly how to elicit the kind of nerve-shredding tension that makes a deep-in-the-night dancefloor take off. 'ALONE/alone' is a taut, hypnotic workout, which gets remixed into a trippier reverb freakout by FBK. FBK also delivers a remix of 'Endo.' which gets into the realms of Rrose-flavoured psych-out gear, and then Rarelife seals the deal with the edge of the world ambience of 'Solvent Swamp'.

It opens with the perfectly streamlined beats and well reduced synths of 'To Late To Understand' which is a deeply burrowing linear masterclass. 'React In Time' rattles more, with underlapping kicks tight and pinging while frosty pads bring the tension up top. The subtleties of techno are again explored in back room slow burner 'Assimilate The Process' then 'Atypical Concerns' closes with gurgling synths that make it feel like you're circling round the plug hole.

Along Came Polly (Konstantin Sibold, Zac & Carmee remix) (5:06)
Review: A powerhouse of festival-ready techno that's primed for mainstage moments, designed to shake speakers and lift crowds. With its soaring dynamics and relentless build, it's a hands-in-the-air anthem that brings the intensity of a festival rave to life. The production is big and bold, with hard-hitting beats and an infectious rhythm that commands attention. This one-sided vinyl release is a showcase of Rebuke's ability to craft a track that resonates with newer techno lovers, making it a perfect addition to any high-energy set. A prime example of popular, mainstage techno set to electrify any dancefloor.

Edge (4:29)
Nova (6:10)
Review: A powerful techno EP on Germany's Habitat Recordings, further solidifying Recondite's reputation for blending genres with finesse. Side-1's 'Edge' features his mastery of peak-time energy, delivering a dynamic track that merges robust techno beats with subtle trance touches, creating a powerful and beautiful experience suited for the main stage. On Side-2, 'Nova' dives into a deeper groove, gradually evolving into an electrifying banger that feels both fresh and timeless. This EP hints at a possible revival of trance influences, but more than anything, it showcases Recondite's unique ability to fuse classic and contemporary elements. 'Nova' is another impressive release in Recondite's ever-expanding discography, proving his skill in crafting captivating techno landscapes. This is one dangerous EP.

Review: Red Rooms is back on Planet Rhythm not long after his last outing here back in April. Once again here these tunes will get any crowd up on their toes and locked in for some serious techno shapes. 'Radiation' is pure heads down tunnel vision techno tackle. 'Side Effects' layer sup warming solar winds with well programmed drums that almost tumble over one another they are so quickened. 'Black Holes' has a darker vibe with cosmic keys peeling off the beats and 'Drift' brings some muscular techno funk. A versatile EP.
