Pentatonic (5:54)
The Truth (6:21)
Dream Taker (5:52)
Review: Glasgow based DJ and producer Harvey McKay is up next for Drumcode, with a bit of help from his brother Ryan here as Alias. This will be his fourth release for Drumcode since making his debut for the label back in 2013 with the terrific Lost EP. A staple of such esteemed imprints as Soma, Suara and Bedrock in recent times, the Visions EP is packed full of perfect big room bangers: much like you'd expect from the guy. Kicking off with the industrial strength stomp of "Pentatonic" which is stripped right down to the bone and full of "Spastik" style snare rolls, "The Truth" then gets some Robert Hood style adrenalised cyclicity going on. Finally on the flip, we've got dark and slamming tool techno of "Dream Taker" that goes straight for the jugular. A grinding, hypnotic and downright riveting thriller for the peak time.

Figure Of RA (7:08)
The Acid Runner (6:38)
Virgo's Echoes (6:27)
Third Eye (7:24)
Review: Last year, Berlin-based Italian Ilario Alicanti pitched up on Drumcode for the very first time, following nine years spent building up his reputation via releases on some of European techno's best-loved labels. Figures & Echoes marks his return to the high profile Swedish imprint and begins with one of his most intense and energetic compositions yet: the throbbing, acid-fired, arpeggio-driven darkness of "Figure of RA". "The Acid Runner", a foreboding and panicked stomp through jacking acid house/big room techno follows, before fuzzy, ghostly and otherworldly motifs dance around a tribal techno groove on "Virgo's Echoes". A fine EP is completed via the creepy, sprinting-away-from-a-mugger-at-4am techno thump of "Third Eye".

Simina Grigoriu - "Flight Tracker" (6:14)
Adam Beyer - "Heading South" (6:25)
LAAT - "The Age Of Juno" (6:05)
Review: Mighty European powerhouse Drumcode rolls out more of its techno tsunamis here with part one of the 12th volume of its A Sides collection. The boss himself, Adam Beyer, offers up one of the biggest cuts - 'Heading South' is a surging, straight-up techno weapon rippled with deft synths that ever forever on the move. Danny Avila's 'My Crew' (feat Flowdan) is built on a foundation of earth-shattering kicks and rolling bass with hellish stabs and vocal fragments making for an intense atmosphere, and Simina Grigoriu's 'Flight Tracker' is the sort of quick-moving techno sound to lock you into a trance. Add in LAAT's 'The Age Of Juno' (oi oi!) and you have a very useful and high impact EP of contemporary techno.

Marco Bailey - "Don't You Want Me" (7:07)
Roberto Capuano - "Flashback" (6:32)
Victor Calderone - "Requiem" (6:42)
Ian O'Donovan - "The Border" (7:43)
Review: Adam Beyer's Drumcode imprint has for around 15 years been the go-to label for peak time, up front techno on the harder side of things; and this is more of the same! Who better to start proceedings than Belgium's Marco Bailey throwing down a right stomper in the form of "Don't You Want Me" while Italy's Roberto Capuano gives us "Flashback", its infectious melody hypnotises you while its beat pummels you. New York City legend Victor Calderone serves up "Requiem" which is more minimal in presentation, working a vocal loop over a nice bass stab and those harsh, metallic snares. Finally Ian O'Donovan gives us "The Border" with its epic soaring strings, bleeping melody, dark stabs and funky bassline getting more on a progressive/tech house tip.

Living The Lie (6:55)
Review: The mighty Drumcode label sure knows how to serve up the supersized, massively heavyweight techno rollers. And a master of that particular form is Patrick Berg. He is afforded the luxury of serving up just one tune to this new, one sided, etched 12". 'Living The Lie' is as bulky as they come - the glitchy clasp peel of the rumbling bass, subtle trance stabs bring that rising sense of euphoria and the mounters kick just hammer the whole thing home. It is an epic tune for epic party moments, especially once the diva vocal rings out.

Code Is The Code (7:30)
Dub Embassy (5:03)
Review: Drumcode titan Adam Beyer is back in business with some of that monolithic sound he's made such a prominent force in global techno. 'Dirty Lagoon' is a slamming monster of a track with daggering rave stabs and hefty kicks to fill any stadium you care to think of. 'Code Is The Code' has a slightly deeper tint, but it's no slouch on the full-fat production all the same. 'Dub Embassy' takes things towards a trancey kind of sound, all swirling synth lines and pinging sound FX, but never too far from that core Drumcode sound we all love so dearly.

Review: Two right legends of techno unite here for the latest release on Drumcode. Label chief Adam Beyer presents 'Restore My Soul' featuring Chicago hard techno veteran DJ Rush, their relationship stretching back nearly three decades from when they both started out in the' 90s. The title track is aimed squarely at the main room dancefloor; a seething, mental groove featuring Rush's stern vocal delivery atop, before taking the energy levels into the peak time on the adrenalised thrasher 'Control'. Over on the flip, you are treated to a rework of the title track by DJ Rush himself in his typically stomping and orotund style.

Review: The big room techno don that is Adam Beyer is back with more potent techno weaponry on his own Drumcode label, this time with part two of the 12th volume of his A-Sides series. His 'Take Me There' is first up in remix form and Carl Cox flips it into a surging peak time roller. Matt Guy's 'Give Me What I Want' is an emotive banger with big synth energy and reverberating vocals while ADHS's '2STEP' hits hard with its flaming drums and trance-y synths. Kaiserdisco then brings dark, stomping warehouse energy to their raved-ready 'Get On The Dancefloor.'

Algorithm (5:35)
Review: Veteran producer Dubfire certainly requires no introduction, nor does the mighty Drumcode who the American producer appears for here in collaboration with Argentina's Flug (REKIDS/Suara) on these two serious tracks. The A side cut 'Rampart' is fierce tribal techno banger reminiscent of Detroit legend Gary Martin, a workout that's geared for those proper heads-down moments on the dancefloor. Equally as austere on the B-side we have the locomotive stomp of "Algorithm" loaded directly off the factory floor with its dubby and greyscale execution.

Industry heavyweight Dubfire of Sci+ Tec fame teaming here with rising Argentinian Flug on the austere warehouse techno banger 'Rubber' which will pummel you into submission via its seething acidic snarl, underpinned by steely rapid-fire rhythms. K368 Unfriended (7:42)
K375 Unfriended (8:24)
Review: UK producer Dubspeeka continues his long relationship with Adam Beyer's Drumcode. The reason for this ongoing collaboration lies in his ability to craft music that is quite different to the prevailing fodder. "K368 Unfriended" is a tearing, tranced out groove that brings Kompakt's mellow hooks down a dark alley and gives it a merciless seeing to. More impressive is "K377 Unfriended"; its prowling bass unfolds over broken beats and a rolling rhythm. "K375 Unfriended' sees him try his hand at bleak, post-Sandwell District techno with a looped vocal laid over a hypnotic, pulsing groove, while on "K354 Unfriended" he drops a driving, buzzing take on minimal techno.

Review: While Dutch DJ/producer Oliver Heldens may be more well known for his future house exploits, he has been cultivating a love of techno separate from his mainstage persona as HI-LO, with releases on Octopus and Filth on Acid. His latest comes courtesy of the ever reliable Drumcode in the form of the Hypnos EP on which he gets serious on two absolutely massive tracks. On the Al first side you have the brooding rave drama of 'Hypnos' that's absolutely geared for peaking out under the strobe light, it's quite reminiscent of Kevin Saunderson's brand of Tronik House, as is B side offering 'Hera' which takes a much more euphoric turn with its epic chord progression sure to get the hands in the air.

Review: After building his reputation via releases on Plus 8 and M_nus, amongst others, Julian Jeweil has secured a big-money move to Drumcode. As you'd expect, all four tracks on this first label outing tend towards the forthright, with title track "Rolling" - a sweaty fusion of booming arpeggio bass, pounding kick-drums, foreboding riffs, metallic hits and drum machine handclap fills - setting the agenda. The "build and drop techno" blueprint is explored further on "Venice", before the experienced Frenchman opts for some full-throttle antics on "Blue". Sensing listeners need a little bit of a breather, he dips the tempo a little on "Traffic", which boasts some deliciously psychedelic acid lines.

Review: The legendary techno pioneer that is Josh Wink is still managing to turn out sleek and fresh cuts decades after he changed the game with his seminal 'Higher State of Consciousness' tune. The Philly-born and bred artist lands on Swedish behemoth Drumcode here with some mighty fine weapons - 'Mind's Eye' is first up and is a bulky and muscular roller with prickly acid and gritty cosmic melodies. 'Caterwaul' has screeching vocals as the title suggests it might and hefty drum funk down low. 'Mind's Eye (acappella)' is a freaky vocal tool for twisted late-night deployment by adventurous DJs.

Review: Ever the champion of brains and brawn in equal measure, Maceo Plex makes his debut appearance on Drumcode with this punchy beast of a single. "Conjure Dreams" features plenty of Plex signifiers, from the rounded and rowdy bassline pump to the haunting tone of the synth lines, neatly packaged in a chunky framework of big room drums. "Conjure Floyd" meanwhile burrows into more minimal territory where the tones are amelodic and the percussion takes the lead, calling to mind the restraint and tension of classic M_nus productions where so much could be said with so little.

Review: While most Drumcode releases are suitably sizable, this EP is particularly large - and not just because it features two huge names in Maceo Plex and Josh Wink. Their original version (A1) is predictably robust and rugged with foreboding low register stabs, metallic clangs, druggy vocal snippets and creepy melodies rising above stomping techno beats. It's a genuinely all-action affair that sounds like a massive room anthem in waiting. Over on side B you'll find two re-rubs: a more melodious Raxon remix that sounds like tech-house on steroids and a deeper, darker, trance-inducing techno take by Shall Ocin.

Go (Manic Brothers remix) (9:09)
Review: Moby's back catalogue has been reworked rather a lot lately, with Drumcode following the lead of 2DIY4 in releasing a string of contemporary remixes of the Vegan beat-smith's classic productions. This 12" - the second of four the Swedish imprint is releasing - begins with a storming version of "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad" by Enrico Sanguilano. It makes good use of the original's famous vocal sample, working it into a banging techno track that looks to the riff-heavy world of trance for inspiration. On the flip, the Manic Brothers offer their interpretation of "Go", combining the original's evocative chords and vocal samples with heavy new techno beats.

Review: Following the release of his superb autobiography a year or two back - not to mention his recent "snub" of new U.S President Donald Trump - Moby has been back in the news. Crucially, his old records are making a return too, albeit in freshly remixed form. This third remix 12" from muscular Swedish techno types Drumcode boasts three more reworks of vintage floor-fillers. On the A-side, Alam Fitzpatrick re-imagines "Porcelain" as a Berlin style tech-house chugger, using Moby's original synths as a spine-tingling breakdown. On the flip, Tiger Stripes lays down two remixes of "Go". The 'White Tail Mix" is a thumping techno stomper with a buzzing breakdown, while the "Black Lodge Mix" is a bumpin' house re-shape.

This 12" is the first of four due in coming weeks, all of which boast fresh interpretations of classic tracks. On the A-side, Luca Angelli offers his take on "Porcelain", combining Moby's evocative chord progressions and twinkling pianos with banging new techno drums and stabbing electronics. Review: Igor Tchkotoua & Dan Duncan met on a flight to Spain and the rest as they say: is history. Their driving minimal/tech house sound has only gotten stronger over the years, culminating in this release for Adam Beyer's esteemed home of hard techno Drumcode. The classic rave techno of "Chemistry" is up there with anything that Alan Fitzpatrick or Special Request have done of late with its adrenalised warehouse euphoria. It's no more Mr. Nice Guy after this though. The powerful stomp of "Ukraine" is Berghain ready with its industrial strength rhythms and harsh static blasts, compressed between doom laden, dubby stabs. Finally on the flip, the brooding dancefloor drama of "Devotion" signals the end with its sinister and mesmerising melodies: reminiscent of Stephan Bodzin yet still powered away by a Berlin style stomp beneath.

His work of late has been released on sister label Truesoul, Alleanza, Gem Records, Octopus Recordings and Rhythm Converted. On "Moon Rocks", Sangiuliano provides a euphoric, hands in the air anthem with soaring synth leads and seriously humming Reese bassline over a high octane beat. Also on the A side is the mad diva vocal breakdown on "Ghettoblaster" which soon gives way to a dark and tunnelling epic. Night Train
Review: Adam Beyer's Drumcode certainly have an identity; their records are meant for big systems, head heavy beats and rumbling basslines (think Room 2 in fabric and you'll see where we're going with this). Their latest output from Slam, entitled "Crowded Room", is no exception. It's rapid and stomping from its offset, with techno staples creeping from dark corners, coming to play and then scuttling away again. Flipping over to the B-Side and Slam offer up "Night Train"; an old sampled train sound was their inspiration, and they use it to tell their story and capture our attention. On the right system, in the right place and with the right crowd, this is techno at its peak.

Review: It's a swift return to Drumcode for Jerome Sydenham, with the prolific producer delivering a sequel to last December's Trombipolution twelve inch release. "In The Zone" does what it says on the tin, swiftly locking into a brooding heads down techno groove, driven by intricate textured drums, scratched vocal effects and a singular synth throb that gradually increases with hypnotic intent as the track progresses. The flipside excursion "Amp" proves to be just as menacing a peak time proposition with a guttural bassline that twinges with evil intent sitting deep below crisp minimal drums and an undulating rhythmic buzz.

Biomorph is not just any old debut album, either, but rather a concept album described by Drumcode as "a journey of evolution". In practice, that means an album that ebbs and flows throughout, opening with a dash of spacey ambient, before charging off on a trip marked out by pulsating techno rhythms (crafted from both straight 4/4 beats and breakbeats), spiraling electronic motifs, booming, elongated basslines, experimental electronic interludes and more future big room techno anthems than the contents of Adam Beyer's USB stick. In other words, if you love Drumcode's particular brand of bombastic techno, you'll love Biomorph.
