Following a string of alluring, melody-rich, digital-only EPs, Peace Symphonies makes its debut on wax with a multi-artist extravaganza. Gorge Hewek sets the tone with opener 'Peace Symphonies', a warming, sun-kissed slab of kaleidoscopic deep house/tech-house fusion that reminded us of some of the material released by the All Day I Dream label. Makebo's 'You' is a soft focus, dewy-eyed slab of sunrise-ready bliss underpinned by shuffling house drums, while 'Lazos' by Simon Vuarambon is a crunchy and groovy workout smothered in relaxed jazz piano solos and synth strings. Perhaps best of all though is the gorgeously grandiose, life-affirming dancefloor colour that is the Volen Sentir Pure Magic Healing version of 'Jinx' by Lost Desert and Hermanez.

Borrowing its name from a far right militant organisation dedicated to Christian identity and survivalism, active int he USA in the 1970s and early-80s, The Covenant is a Cabaret Voltaire album in every way, shape and form. Number seven from the band, it landed in 1985 through Some Bizarre Records, a fitting name for the imprint given the contents here, which push the boundaries of synth pop and new wave to the very edge of understanding, while still remaining wholly listenable, danceable, and accessible.

Such was the genius of the late Richard H. Kirk, RIP. Then, as now, this might not be everyone, particularly tracks like the rather haunting and Neo-industrial 'Whip Blow', although fare such as 'Motion Rotation' could easily get any room full of any people onto their feet. Nevertheless, it's testament to just how incredibly creative and bold the Cab Vol vision was. And still is.

Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalia is back with her third studio album and one that is a hugely conceptual and experimental affair. She herself describes it as "her most personal and confessional album" and that is embodied by the lead single, 'Saoko', which celebrates transformation and change. It is an album of pop leaning, reggeaton inspired sounds and plenty of nods to dembow, champeta, flamenco, bachata, hip-hop and piano melodies. The artist's own fierceness and unapologetically brave attitude helps make this the force that it is.

Review: The Flaming Lips' The John Peel Session of October 17, 1996, marked a pivotal moment in the trajectory of the Flaming Lips. Just before their rise to international prominence, the session captured their essence through four tracks that showcased their eclectic blend of neo-psychedelia, experimental rock, and indie influences. Alan Fitzpatrick returns to Drumcode, marking his first appearance since late 2016 when he remixed Moby's hit "Porcelain".The release opens with "Brian's Proper Dun One", a track which caused a storm on his Twitter profile when he first started playing it last year. Loaded with sharp and pounding drums, this is a no holds barred, certified main room anthem! "Wait A Second" has been getting a lot of play on Drumcode Radio of late. This rave inspired track takes a raw, stripped back approach and delivers a killer blow. Alan sampled the vocals of MC r1bbz from an LTJ Bukem tape pack from the early 90s and the record tips its cap to early jungle raves around the M25. The release closes with "Trance, Init?" a homage to Fitzpatrick's days as a raver before he became a DJ. The breakdown is sure to be a hands in the air moment at festivals all over the globe this summer.

While the AURRAS features a 100% analogue audio path from input to output, it takes advantage of precise digital controls, offering soft-touch relay-based true bypass switching, on-board tap tempo and speed ramping. Set your effect with the Speed knob, Expression Pedal, Tap Tempo, or by using the Ramp function. You can ramp up your LFO speed by simply holding the Tap Tempo footswitch, which will automatically ramp up to double your speed.
You can also ramp down your LFO speed by simply holding down the Bypass Footswitch. This will automatically decrease your speed to half. Repeat this process as many times as you'd like to achieve the desired speed.

Let's talk about LFO Offset

AURRAS runs on a pair of opto-isolators each operating on an independent LFO. While most Phaser or Modulation pedals use a single LFO to create their effect, independent LFOs can open a new array of effects by offsetting their symmetry.

The OFFSET ADJ knob and OFFSET MODE FREQ|PHASE knobs work in tandem. For a more conventional effect, turn the OFFSET ADJ mode fully counterclockwise, allowing both LFOs to be in sync with no offset.

The FREQUENCY OFFSET adds rhythmic patterns by slowing down the second LFO, while the PHASE OFFSET fine-tunes the throb by introducing asymmetry between the LFOs.
