At first glance Noo may be a new name, but without looking into who is behind this self titled EP for the Optimo Music label you get the sense there is a certain pedigree from listening to the music alone. It turns out Noo is the new project from Daze Dasen and Sami Liuski, whose respective work as Plastique De Reve and Bangkok Impact / Putsch '79 has featured on amongst other labels Death From Abroad, IDJ, Creme and Clone. Together as Noo they are granted the honour of releasing the first Optimo Music Disco Plate with two cuts of sublime Modern Disco (not Nu Disco as the label themselves are at pains to point out) Heavy on luscious string heavy musicality and swooping arrangements, both "The First Night" and "No More" seem destined to become record box mainstays for any selectors that play disco.
