Review: Plenty of neologistic fun can be had with the work "break", but we must admit that "breakflow" is a new one on us. Lisboa produtor b0n impresses such sonic and titular genii with a new, green-goo-hued four-track EP on Portgal's fantastical Magic Carpet label, spanning clean future progressive and garage-acid tempos. The title track and 'Sasha Palomal' only tease the unortho-breaks with tricky garage beats and straighter but admittedly still formative breaksteps; it's only by the point of the B-siders 'Positive Morph' and 'Fractures' that any such fluvial breakbeat is properly put back together and course-corrected. Be warned, the latter track moves through the nicely rare variants of freestyle and "electrance"; careful not to dance yourself to breakdown.

Review: Oliver R drops the second EP under his own name, a sun-drenched, groove-heavy release Magic Carpet. This EP leans into warm, sensual rhythms and deep, low-end pressure that's both playful and polished. Opening track 'Be Mine' is a techy bounce and hypnotic pulses that pull you in without force. It's clean and direct, made for smooth transitions and fluid motion on the floor. 'Horny Mother Funka' follows with an irresistible bassline, strutting confidently through shimmering textures and cheeky details that never overdo it. Flip the record and 'City of Love' offers a moment of blissful elevation. Its delicate, dreamy chords and spacey melodic touches bring the romance, adding emotional weight without losing club functionality. Closing things out, 'Rocco Loves His Pickles' injects a bit of personality and swing. With a rolling bassline and lightly techy frame, it's a fun yet functional piece of dancefloor mischief. This EP is tailor-made for warm nights and daylight sets. It's confident, groovy and full of charm.
