Nightshade (Chicken Lips vocal mix)
Nightshade (Rodriguez Junior mix)
Review: A remix signed by some of the most creative remixers of the moment. Built around a strong bass line and deep kick, this funky dub mix with disco sequences brings the vocal in after a long building break with a second part of the mix which turns have funky anthem feel with percussions and organ line. The B side is remixed by Rodriguez Jr (half of the Youngsters and who did release an amazing 12" on F..U). A minimal vocal version that is full of melody takes the track in an amazing direction. A mix dedicated to radios and after hours parties in Ibiza!

Get Dumb
Review: "Get Dumb" is a definite peak-time electro house burner - one for a packed dancefloor with a lot of energy, just how Axwell, Ingrosso, Angello and Laidback Luke like it. There's no chance this track will get past you in a club, and it's certain to be the most talked about track at WMC 2007. With a crisper, drier feel than a lot of electro house tunes around at the moment, "Get Dumb's" clever use of bleepy loops and predominant hi-hat helps create an infectious, mesmerizing atmosphere. It's a clever musical mix - organic with it's use of cow bells and lazy handclaps, then intense with two mood setting build ups. It slowly warms you up with the first, leading towards a far more dramatic, powerful climax and break - guaranteed to send any dancefloor into a frenzy! It's hypnotic two word hook instantly caught the ears of Tongy, who championed it as one of his first 'Essential New Tunes' of 2007. This track is anything but dumb, and the buzz around it at the moment is intense!

Bangkok Impact - "Taming The Taurus"
Lowfish - "Membrane Switch"
Luke Eargoggle - "Mind Of A Moog"
Review: Taken from the tribute to Robert Moog album. An amazing track from Bangkok Impact (probably our favourite on the album). Great building disco track in the vein of Lindstrom (to drop a hot name...but really this track rocks!), plus a rocking up-tempo piece by Lowfish. Lets not forget a massive up-tempo Model 500 kind of techno/electro track by Luke Eargoggle. Three great tunes on one piece of vinyl.

Review: Andy Caldwell presents the much anticipated follow-up single from his "Universal Truth" album entitled "Warrior". Andy's rework is an electric house affair while Claude Von Stroke works his remix effort into a minimal frenzy. Chuck Love takes a European angle with his Bangers & Mashed effort while David Alvarado goes uber-deep, dark and mysterious on his cut.

Review: "Urbi et Orbi" is the fourth and latest release from obviously Rome based label Minimal Rome. The title means "To the city and to the world" and it represents a joint collaboration between Minimal Rome artists and non-Italian producers. In this case, two from northern Europe, a first attempt to create a serial partnership in sharing a common passion for analogue electronic music with some of the main protagonists in the so-called "new wave of electro" scene. Six wicked electro tracks (no minimal in sight), from Luke Eargoggle (Bunker), Feedback, Ra-X (Mighty Robot, Angelmaker), Kobol Electronics and Composite Profuse (Bunker).

How Can U (Be So Far Away) (Atnarko & Sen - Sei remix)
How Can U (Be So Far Away) (Jon Delerious remix)
Review: On "How Can U (Be So Far Away)" the seasoned house vocalist Lola gives a heart wrenching performance, singing a song about the complex and unsure world of the heart. Funky Transport and JoneeQ supply rolling beats and tuneful keys, driving the lyrics to make an emotionally deep tune work it on deep house dancefloors. A superb mix of elements rarely encountered. Q-Burns supplies a hectic dub, increasing the bpm and enhancing the groove. Atnarko and SF keyboardist Sen-Sei combine forces on a hefty rework. Complete with a funky sandbox beat shovelled by a solid low end, the vocals on this remix pop in and out with great style.

Ant Music (Hyper's club mix)
Ant Music (Dirk Technic mix)
Review: Hyper returns to the dancefloor with a slamming angst-ridden, peak time stormer - a cover of Adam & The Ants pop-punk classic 'Antmusic'. Hefty drums and a heavyweight bassline give way to the inevitable guitar onslaught (supplied by The Prodigy’s Keiron Pepper) and an off the wall breakdown which scores highly for originality and tips a rather large nod to the original tracks triplet time signature. On the flip side you'll find Will 'PMT' Brunner's sublime remix under his Dirk Technic guise. Super-slick electro/house programming gives this track a stylish push into 2006 and will have broad appeal in club land.

The Kiko remix is an incredible slamming and powerful dancefloor track with a monster electric groove and his famous electro touch. Maybe one of his best remixes. Electric Indigo remix is more minimal with a pounding metallic groove and the classical vision of old school techno... 'Un must' as we said in Frenglish.

The Best Will Come (Part 1)
Review: For more than 10 years the French Lady B is known in the techno scene. He organised the first acid-house and techno parties in south of France between 1989 and 93 and he also became a DJ in several gay clubs in Cannes. He had releases on F-com, Gigolo Records, Good Life & many more. Plus remixes for ASCII Disco or Scratch Massive. Now he is back with a powerful EP including 4 tracks. "Stripper" is a cut and go massive banger which reminds you of Sebastien (Ed Banger) Productions. "The Best Will Come Part 1 & 2" have a nice bassline & bleeping acid sounds and those tracks show you that the time for sampling in 2006 has just begun. "B-Ware" is a pure peaktime track with a melody that will stuck in everyone's brain.

Here he is back with some more progressive/wild pitch stuff, very dancefloor oriented. The old school acid sound and the deadly beats remind us of his early productions on Fcom. "Accelerator" comes as a two different versions package. One more on the acid house tip, and the other more techno oriented. This might well become a timeless dancefloor hit.

Shake Me (dub)
Review: In conjunction with the new Land Shark (aka Lance De Sardi) album, this rarity resurfaces with some spanking new mixes. Originally released under the moniker Tiburon, "Shake Me" is a dark and gritty cut with heavy electro and punk influences. As always a twisted Land Shark vocal makes this a keeper. France's Sweetlight (from Freak N Chic and Output) turns in a vocal remix that keeps quite true to the original but makes things more accessible for both radio and the dancefloor. The Sweetlight dub as it should breaks things down to a much simpler hypnotic groove for those late late night sessions. Rounding out the package is the original dub. A perfect record for Thugfucker, Tiefschwarz and Paul Woolford fans.
