Notes: This 15 ml (approx 1/2 oz) bottle of SC1 Fluid is formulated for use with the GrooveWasher SC1 Stylus Brush. It is also effective with other stylus brush styles.

Thw SC1 Stylus Fluid is a cousin of GrooveWasher's G2 Fluid. It has a relatively low concentration of organic alcohol compared to the other stylus fluids, which are often 100% isopropyl alcohol. Iso alcohol is an effective solvent but it evaporates too quickly and the contaminants can dry back on the stylus before it is removed with the brush.

The new VC-E2 is a new compact record cleaning machine with completely new, superior features. Vinyl records need a specific maintenance. The dry brush cleaning before playing the record is good to roughly remove dust. To effectively clean the grooves, you need to wet clean the record.

To achieve the perfect cleaning, we also need a suitable cleaning fluid. Alcoholic cleaning fluids can destroy musical micro information of the grooves. That's the reason Pro-Ject designed a new eco-friendly non-alcoholic cleaning fluid called "Wash it 2". THe Mobile Fidelity PLUS Enzyme Cleaner for all vinyl LPs is a revolution in record cleaning. The PLUS uses enzymes to more completely clean records than any other fluid you've found.

Most sound degrading contaminants found on records are organic in nature, oils and sweat from hands, skin, hair and other minuscule particles of dust are attracted by electrostatic charges on the vinyl and can become deeply embedded in the vinyl. The best way to remove these is with an enzyme specifically designed for this purpose. By coating the play surface with PLUS Enzyme Cleaning Fluid and allowing it to sit on the record surface for 3-5 minutes, the enzymes will break the particles down and loosen them from the grooves.

How Often You Clean Your Stylus

Unless your vinyl has scratches, these pops and clicks are caused by dust and dirt that has been collected in the grooves. Also, contamination by air pollution from the traffic outside, cooking fat, grease and tobacco smoke can cause a tough film to form on the surface of the record. Sometimes even moulds and fungi are present if the records have been stored for a prolonged period of time in a humid environment. Instructions:

Unscrew the bottle top and apply one or two drops of liquid onto the Tonar cleantip brush. To clean the stylus tip brush the tip a few times with the brush. Careful! Always clean the tip from the back of the cartridge to the front of the cartridge only. Never brush back and forth as shown on the diagram. You do not have to remove the stylus the cartridge for cleaning.
