Deadlock vinyl

Greek label June is owned and operated by its namesake and one Trenton Chase: who also collaborate as Manie Sans Delire. Chase presents his debut full length here entitled Deadlock, where the London based producer performs a modern retrospective of the many strains of industrial, EBM and coldwave across its eight snarling and steely tracks. The first half of the album's rusty and skeletal jams on pawnshop synths and drum-computers are reminiscent of classic's like Front 242's Geography or Skinny Puppy's Back & Forth; the kind of tributes most recently explored by Belgian Maoupa Mazzocchetti, who just so happened to do the artwork. On the flip, we get into much more gutsy and aggressive EBM like on the pounding "Open Muzzle" or the funky devil's dance of "Say So". Definitely one for the retroverts out there into Mannequin, Unknown Precept or Cititrax.
