He may appear under a myriad of different names, but Tito Wun sure knows how to handle a crafty disco lick or two, having done so in the past for Damiano Von Erckert, and this time he's back at the scene of the crime, Ava Records, with Lorenzo Merluzzo in tow for a funk-filled six-tracker that touches on hip hop, soul and more besides with a sense of fun matched with production panache and bona fide killer ideas. The dusty introspection of "Let Your Light Shine" sounds all the stronger for Max Cole's laid back vocal turn, while "Sgt. Hermeto" brings a wonderfully clattering take on slow house to the fore. Every track is steeped in flair and imagination as much as switched-on crate digging, and it's a pleasure from start to finish.
