In The Realms Of The Unreal (incl. Patrice Scott remix) vinyl

Brooklyn's Love Notes label continues to strengthen its repertoire with a return offering from the rising San Francisco producer tape_hiss. Following on from the excellent Love Is A Dog From Hell 12" earlier in the year this new four track single presents yet more plush, heartfelt jams from the machine-based side of house music. If a reference point were needed, having Patrice Scott on board for a remix is a logical move, although the Detroit don's Latin-flavoured shakedown of "The Vivian Girls" is a spicy proposition compared to the soothing balm of the original. That's not to say tape_hiss doesn't like to throw it down, as the twitchy pulse of "Realms Of The Unreal" adeptly proves.
