Old school drum & bass fans are in seventh heaven this month with a clutch of killer material from the mid-finites being put out by various labels. One of them is Redskin who revisit Studio 2 aka Andrew Alcee, J. Jayne and Jeff Allen's 1994 EP The Top. It's packed with samples from front to back. Up first is 'Entertainment' which is a celebratory jam with horns, crisp breaks and funky licks. 'My God' is darker with more edgy melodies reflecting like broken glass over a the flurry of breakbeats and last but not least 'Bad Boy Rhythm' is an all out peak time assault that nails you to the floor with its high intensity drum programming and bad boy sampling.
