More retroactive techno courtesy of the British Unknown To The Unknown camp, this time courtesy of French producer Realitycheck. He has appeared previously for the label with his Untitled Love EP, in addition to a great one on local imprint Renascence. Opening stormer "Escape Your Future" is drenched in analogue soul, just as you like it and channelling the same vibe as Hieroglyphic Being or John Heckle. The emotive "Replicants" is without a doubt the EP's most deep and introspective moment, but still retaining all those rusty classic drum sounds and dusty vintage synths. Finally, on the flip is the sci-fi odyssey that is the title track: classic electro sounds informed from a Motor City perspective and convincingly so. Respect!
