There's no doubt that the combination of electronic eccentric Madteo, and the similarly quirky Wania label, is a winning one. This is the Italian oddball's third release for DJ Sotofett's imprint, and his first full-length since 2012's Mad Dip Revue. Rapper Sensational appears on over half the tracks, blessing Madteo's beats - which vary from dub-heavy bounce to tropical grooves, via elastic punk-funk, grainy hip-hop and aquatic house - with his distinctive presence. As ever with Wania releases, pinning down exactly what's on offer is tough; suffice to say, the music is as imaginative, off-kilter and exciting as you'd expect.
