Ace Scottish producer Lord Of The Isles continues to impress all, arising on the Ene Tokyo imprint with an EP of sumptuous proportions which includes an added bonus in the shape of a COS/MES remix. A brief opener in the shape of "Rising Sun" sets the tone, before the glorious "To & Fro" captivates, slowly unfurling into a richly detailed, beatdown bump through swirling analogue lines that give the expansive track a sort of subaqueous boogie sensation. After the acoustic fuzz of "Your Smile", COS/MES step up to remix "To & Fro", expanding the proceedings to over twelve minutes with an epic and very odd remix that pumps with eccentric industrial intent yet still retains the duo's trademark melodic glisten. Another release that proves Lord Of The Isles is beyond simple categorization.
