Chicago DJ and producer Ines Aguilar goes most notably by the name Work Ethic, and is responsible for a ream of parties thrown across the Northern city. Their first ever EP inaugurates the Work Ethic label, and emphasises avant-funk of the "what is that?" variety. Early nods from trusted selectors like Darryn Jones of Durty Truth and Tim Zawada speak to the crate appeal here, but this isn't about hype: t's about taste. From obscure boogier 'No More Fighting' to leftfield burner 'Cain And Abel', these are cuts that do the talking without needing to shout.
