This dinked 7" marks the debut of new Athens of the North offshoot Ocean of Tears, a label dedicated - in their words - to "deep ballads". In typical fashion, the imprint's first release is thrillingly obscure in origin; so much so, in fact, that original copies are even more rare than rocking horse droppings. "Satellite-Love" was Boston-based psychedelic funk man, Tri-Speed Moog Keytar Synthesizer inventor and one-time Original Black Sheep member Forest Terry's attempt at solo success. It flopped first time round, but is certainly a rare treat - all trippy lo-fi soul vibes, sweet guitars and suitably blazed vocals. There's a more up-tempo feel to flipside "Branchin' Out", which boasts wild guitar solos, Hendrix-esque vocals and bustlin' psych-funk rhythms.
