Iranian producer Death Trap surfaces on the Modularfield label with the first installment in a planned trilogy of releases themed around his interpretation of the Future as a mixture of Krautrock and Trap. An intriguing concept and thankfully one that shows a bit more ingenuity than simply tacking on some booming trap drums to a CAN track. If anything both productions here have more in common with classic dubstep, especially the spiralling rhythms and crystalline textures of lead track "Taste of Future". The flip houses "Julia's Dream" which is worthy of a Deep Medi B Side.
