Low Flying Owls CD

Between is a project born in 2012 at an old ryokan in Kyoto, Japan. It is a collective of rotating artists that melds all the various different sorts and perspectives into something new. This new album Low Flying Owls has its genesis in early 2022 when Taylor Deupree and Stephen Vitiello started working on a small studio set up in a beach house in Florida. They lay down the bare bones with long-form guitar and electronic pieces and then wove in recordings from other artists Molly Berg, Corey Fuller, Marcus Fischer, Federico Durand and Michael Grigoni. The result is a spontaneous and ambitious record with each musical voice in harmony with the next.
