Afterglow EP vinyl

It's been a little while since we heard from Beesmunt Soundsystem, whose previous singles for Soweso, Just Jack and Pets Recordings received a lot of critical attention. Happily, this outing for the hyped CHURCH label is arguably the strongest collection of tracks to date. Many will naturally be drawn to "Afterglow", where hazy, delay-laden riffs seemingly cascade down over a sparse, mid-tempo drum machine rhythm. There's a bonus ambient version, too, which is suitably sweet and dreamy. Elsewhere, "Opium" fuses psychedelic acid lines and jammed-out synth solos with a superbly loose and swinging rhythm track, while "First Timer" sees the Dutch duo try their hand at spacey electro. If it's bumpin' house you're after, Mosey's remix of that track should tickle your fancy.
