On Reimagination he offers us a neat reminder of the quality of his catalogue, laying down sparse and occasionally wildly different covers of his greatest songs, often accompanied by famous friends and guest artists. Highlights include a bluesy version of "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" with Gregory Porter, a slo-mo gospel take on "Reach Out, I'll Be There" featuring Jo Harman, and a thrilling medley of "(Love Is Like A) Heatwave" and "Nowhere To Run" full of fizzing horns, fill-tastic jazz drums and boogie-woogie piano.
