Review: The artists formerly known as The Future Sound Of London here dish out the latest in a series of mix CDs that have delighted space cadets old and new with a fresh and inspirational ability to map out astral travelogues from the classic old to the innovative here and now. Here they concentrate on Australian psych through the ages - from artists whose geographical obscurity may have led them dwelling woefully appreciated in obscurity, such as synth pioneers Cybotron and the heinously psyched-out Sunset Trip to well-known modern day troubadours like Tame Impala, this is uniformly head-spinning stuff.

Review: Another crate-digging delight by the Amorphous Androgynous with their latest cosmic-disco compilation for Monstrous Bubble Recordings! This stuff is for any music aficionado looking for that ultimate oddity, the sort of diverse musical selection which contains the same thread of sound across different eras and genres. In collaboration with Australia's Festival Records and RSD 2015, the AA have put together a double LP comprising the headiest sort of music around, and from Tame Impala to Air and Cybotron, this is the sort of thing you want to listen through and trough, no skips or shuffles but simply letting it play from beginning to the end...hopefully on a beautiful beach somewhere in the ether...

Review: An absolute trove from down under, Closed Circuits is the work of Australian music writer and historian David Nicholls who's compiled the 20 track collection and written notes on each act, many of whom only saw limited release at the time. Capturing Australia's take on such a formative era of electronic pop, we range from the wonderfully lolloping rhythm and post punk delivery of Bring Philip and Voigt 465 to lighter shades of new romanticism from The Dugites to out-and-out leftside experimentation such as The Limp. With the cover art supplied by the designer of Melbourne's original 80s cassette fanzine Fast Forward, every single aspect of this document is authentic, researched and respectfully detailed.
