Review: Norwegian producer dublon stakes his claim with this new debut release - a jazz-house blend that's as breezy as it is precise. It's a brand new collection that follows a meteoric rise, and it more than earns the hype. Balancing instrumental sensitivity with club-ready finesse, each track feels like a live session dialled into Ableton, full of tiny improvisations and featherlight detail. 'Pollen' and 'As If' set the tone with quick, scene-setting sketches, while 'Salve' with Deza wraps smoky vocals around brushed beats and late-night chords. 'CPH' and 'Breach', both made with Nathan Haines, bring saxophone-led elegance without slipping into lounge territory, and the Tour-Maubourg link-up on 'Brush' is all dust and warmth. Closer 'Nectar' is the standout i light but punchy, and loaded with quiet optimism. It's club music that smiles rather than shouts. Stylish, soulful and impressively cohesive, this one feels built to last.
