The Challenge

The Electronic, Mechanical and Graphic Designs have been synergically worked out to be able to insert all the controls, the LEDs, the buttons necessary to create a device that would allow a naturalness in the use without compromises.

Tailor made knobs

For a performer, staying focused on the creative phase requires that the right number of controls are available, and that they are positioned in such a way as to allow natural use. This naturalness comes from a meticulous study and from dozens of configurations tested before reaching the perfect solution! To achieve the high level of usability prefixed, 36 knobs and 11 buttons needed, accurately positioned in the right places. To be able to get the right size, finish, feel, design and hide the potentiometer nuts, Enjoy have designed and made aluminium knobs manufactured exclusively for this product!

High quality potentiometers, aluminium knobs, durable finishes, involve high costs, but are essential to create a high-end device that will last over time.

LEDs

On the panel there are 154 LEDs to drive!

Thanks to the meticulous positioning, the instant feedback they offer is essential for those who must focus on the creative aspect and have everything under control at a simple glance. It wasn't easy at all! But, for us, it was essential to have them, and to have them like this! Enjoy had to design and test different solutions and prototypes before finding the ideal configuration, which would satisfy targets such as position, luminous homogeneity, no-light interference between neighbouring LEDs. Attention to detail remains the guideline.

Case: design, shape and compatibility

The unique shape of the case is produced in a single piece of aluminium thanks to the extrusion technique.

To get it, Enjoy worked closely with aluminium extrusion experts to create a matrix that granted us very tight tolerances, despite the multitude of curves, corners and grooves.

Aluminium and wood case

This strong shell is powder-coated in black, offering the highest resistance against scratches, dents and absolutely no chance for paint flaking. To make it, Enjoy are committed to ordering a huge volume of parts and investing significantly in advance.

Performance Oriented

Months were spent to carefully consider all the function and parameters. After that Enjoy invested a lot of time in designing the "one-knob-per-function" interface with a studio and stage performance perspective. All the visual indication that "The Godfather" provides are extremely useful and intuitive. Despite the great complexity behind The Godfather, it is surprisingly simple to use. You will see and feel the effort when playing with the GodFather.

Notes: Although spring reverbs have been built for more then five decades they are still highly desired because of their individualism and sound quality. They can almost be seen as standard for guitar amplifiers and can be found in a great number of studios around the world, as they are also a perfect choice for vocals, organs and synthesizers.

Once again VERMONA presents a tube spring reverb of it's own class and once again the name is "ReTubeVerb". Some details have been improved and there are also strongly requested features like balanced in- and outputs as well as the possibility to get it in a rack system.

Uncompromising Tube Technology:
The ReTubeVerb is build upon classical tube circuitry - you will not find a single semi-conductor in its signal flow. This uncompromising realization needs some efforts but the result justifies the concept! What you'll get is the warm and slightly compressed tube sound without interferences and unpleasant coloration.

Spring Tank:
The deep and voluminously reverb effect comes out of a high quality six-spring reverb tank (three double-springs) made by the spring reverb pioneer ACCUTRONICS.

Equalizer:
We've chosen three very usable frequencies which makes it easy to form the reverb effect as you like without much efforts.

Balanced In- and Output:
Beside the unbalanced instrumental- / line in- and outputs we've implemented a transformer-balanced input and output as well. It's not that kind of feature that's integrated just to have it, but with great attention towards sound quality. The audio transformers are made upon our specifications to perfectly fit for their purpose.

True Bypass:
There's a true bypass as well as the EFFECT STOP function. The latter allows refining the input signal by the tube preamp without reverberation.

The ReTubeVerb relies on traditional technology but also makes spring reverberation a cutting edge topic.

Input Channels:
Stereo: Stereo signal is processed.
Left: Only the signal present on the Left Input is processed.
Right: Only the signal present on the Right Input is processed.

Digital Output:
Dither - Range: 8, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, off Reverb 4000 processes internally at 24-bit resolution. Dither must be set to match downstream devices.

Status Bits - Select whether the Reverb 4000 should send out AES/EBU or S/PDIF status bit information.

MIDI Map:
You can use the "MIDI Custom Program Map" to customize how Reverb 4000 should map incoming program changes, making it an even more flexible and creative tool without ever compromising audio quality or depth.

Reverb Types:
Back in the day, reverb was mostly used as a Generic effect applied to many sources of a mix. Nowadays, where you have more aux send and returns and new approaches have emerged. Tracks are treated individually, adding room character, flavor and depth in creative and complex ways. We call this a Source-based approach, and we have put more than 30 man-years of development time into design and refinement of Source-based room simulation.

Even though we may now consider Generic types to be less than ideal, there are still applications for which they may be chosen instead of their Source-based cousins. Our large reverb and room simulation palette of High-end reverbs allows you to choose whatever principle that suits your present need.

Notes: The PLASMA RACK is a 1U sized high-end audio effects unit designed for professional and studio use.

At its heart is the unique High Voltage Distortion concept - a brand new way of analog signal processing developed in 2018 by Gamechanger Audio.

By using a High voltage step-up flyback transformer, PLASMA RACK turns your instrument's signal into a rapid series of electric discharges in a Xenon-filled tube. These powerful discharges (up to 5500 Volts) then get picked up by a specially designed electromangatec receiver and turned back into audio-level signal. This process results in a large amount of punishingly heavy distortion, and also saturates the sound with a wide range of harmonics and overtones.

The harmonic artefacts, created as a byproduct of the high-voltage discharge are uncommon in traditional signal amplification, and therefore PLASMA distortion is unlike anything you have heard before.

The way PLASMA Rack reacts with different instruments and sound sources simply cannot be recreated with any other analog machine, plugin or by digital sound modeling.

INPUT GAIN CONTROL

SUSTAIN MODE

Built-in adaptive compressor that lets you prolong the PLASMA Tube's output at Low-Voltage settings.

The resulting effect is like a long electrical sputter and is quite unpredictable and extraordinary.

OVERSATURATE MODE

Analog Octave up / Overtone effect achieved byoverpowering the PLASMA Tube.

This gives note attacks some serious Octavia-style upper harmonics, and also makes the whole sound extremely intense.

CLEAN GATE MODE

Use the PLASMA Tube's gating effect on any CLEAN Signal without the added Distortion.

Works great on all percussive instruments, as well as breaking up heavy reverbs and creating "bit-crush" type effects, but using an analog spark gap as a medium.

PLASMA TREMOLO/RINGMOD

A very unusual Tremolo circuit that takes full advantage of the PLASMA Tube's sputtery and abrupt bursts.

The Tremolo range goes from slow to full-on screaming Ring mod.

Also, features a Dynamic Tremolo mode (Trigger the Ring mod (or tremolo) effect on transients, or only as the sound starts decaying.

BUILT-IN DISTORTION CHANNEL

PLASMA sound blends very well together with a classic op-amp distortion, therefore the PLASMA RACK gives you access to a built-in distortion circuit to create a huge sound instantly.

The CLEAN GATE button applies the Tube's gating effect to the distorted channel.

3 FX LOOPS WITH SWITCHABLE LEVEL CONTROL

Modify the signal path by inserting external effects or plugins into various parts of the PLASMA Rack's signal chain.

FX LOOP 1 - affects the DRY signal only;
FX LOOP 2 - affects the WET signal only, before it goes into the PLASMA tube;
FX LOOP 3 - affects the WET signal only, after the PLASMA Tube.

Notes: A lovely analogue stereo spring reverb unit with many useful controls that sounds authentically vintage and yet modern at the same time. Effects ranging from super-subtle heavenly reverb to full-blown demonic screaming can easily be achieved with a quick twist of the dials.

The WIDTH and DEPTH of SPACIOUS, ECHO-EY REVERB is QUITE PROFOUND

SPRINGS
With four springs in total, two per channel, the two full-sized spring reverb tanks provide an authentic, gloriously wide and rich stereo reverb sound.

DELAYS!
Feeding into the reverb tanks are a stereo pair of delays. With feedback controls plus separate or sync-able delay times, they blend beautifully with the reverb (plus the magic*) to allow the user to create relly long reverb tails.

FILTERS and MODULATION
Realy long reverb tails can start to 'ring' however. That's why we added stereo filters plus modulation controls. These work to 'scatter' the feedback tails, allowing lovely long, smooth, natural and authentic sounding analogue stereo reverb sounds of great depth and complexity that need to be heard to be believed!

It's also possible to get incredibly creative with these controls, many "extreme scenarios" can be conjured in no time at all. The controls offer endless sound sculpting capability, it actually veers into synth territory in many ways.

MAGIC Feedback Loop
An extra bit of magic comes from a feedback loop around the whole system that makes it sing (or scream) even more. When you turn this up wonderful, unexpected things start to happen.

It controls how much of the spring sound is sent back to the delays. The channels are crossed over so the right spring is fed to the left delay and vice-versa. This allows for the creation of practically infinite tails.

WARNING You need to be careful with this control, it can get really crazy! Perhaps Humanity wasn't meant to tamper with such forces...
