Review: Since their reformation and commitment to put out new material in 2006, the fans of the band and critics alike, have been thrilled with the new output from the band. The Punishment Of Luxury is the third album of new material of the millennium. The album is full of catchy material, memorable moments and synth pop perfection like they are known for. Highlights include the singles 'Isotype', 'What Have We Done', 'One More Time' and the album title song. Originally released in 2017, this limited numbered 180 gram comes on blue vinyl complete with insert. The Punishment Of Luxury is a fantastic example of a 80s band sticking to what they do best and still bringing out worthwhile material. One of their best albums!

Review: The son of the legendary r&b bandleader Johnny Otis, American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Shuggie Otis carried his father's funk-r&b torch when he dropped his debut album Introducing. Emerging in 1969 when Shuggie was just 15 years old, he certainly sounds wiser beyond his years on record, with his voice a stark and low fixture of this otherwise masterwork in album form, and the many arrangements sounding like they'd come from a musician with decades of practice under their belt, not less than two. Modern listeners are likely to still be captivated by its stylistic breadth, not least by the dazzling instrumental flourishes of 'Sweet Thang' or the proto-neo-soul chromatics of 'Island Letter'.
