There's a fair chance you'll already have heard "Cola", experienced production duo Camelphat's collaboration with vocalist Elderbrook. The original version, with its rumbling bass, atmospheric builds, subtle bassline house influence and "she sips the Coca-Cola" refrain, has become something of an anthem since first appearing on digital download earlier in the year. For this first vinyl release, Defected has packaged the now-familiar original mix with a trio of reworks. The most impressive of these comes from German veteran Mousse T. He brilliantly re-casts the track as a bumpin' chunk of celebratory disco-house complete with thrilling piano riffs and an elastic bassline.

Review: Turkish producer Ozgur Can has quietly built a reputation as a genre defying Producer/DJ renowned for quality drum lead house music of all hues and colours. Releases and mixes have been for the likes of Cocoon, Kompakt, Picadoll and even the legendary Harthouse label. His second release here, comes in two mixes. The B side mix is pure Ozgur: atmospheric toplines, subtly driving bass, crunchy drums and a loose free flowing arrangement. The A side mix is pure house, with fat, swinging rhythms underpinning a nagging organ synth riff that could have come from Erik Kupper in 1992. One of the strongest releases yet from one of European house music's future heroes. Ozgur Can has seen a wide variety of support from some of the biggest DJ's, ranging from Tiesto to Sven Vath. The label has released a steady flow of quality tracks by some of the brightest upcoming talent over the years. Precinct Recordings has seen support from a wide variety of DJs including, Sasha, Luke Chable, John Digweed, Tiesto & Luke Fair. Ozgur Can has released and remixed on a variety of labels, including Lost Language, Precinct, Deep Focus, Organized Nature & Perc Trax. This EP boasts a variety of tracks all based upon the same theme, ranging from a trippy warm up through to a more peak time affair.

Review: Özgür Can is undoubtedly one of the producers of the moment and is producing some of the finest crossover material on the market today. His release on Truesoul last year appealed to a huge cross section of DJs and was played by everyone from Adam Beyer to Fergie to Christian Smith. This release on new label Plejour follows the same pattern. The A-side is an incredible driving track with razor sharp production, the fattest bassline and great edits that will send dancefloors wild. The flip has a more electronic feel with its Germanic synth line. This is a big release and is already in many key DJ's record boxes. Watch out for number 2 - it's also a killer!!!

Review: David Gtronic kicked off the Black Wood label with the Kryptoo 12", and now Javier Carballo swiftly follows up with the immersive tones of Morning Vibe. Carballo's sound is undoubtedly rooted in the minimal house he's turned out for One Records amongst others, but he's got a distinctive edge in his productions that makes them stand out. "Morning Vibe" in particular does so well because it matches airy pads and skittering drums with a measured lick of acid, making something truly trippy in the process. "Back For Good" pairs dubby chord pulses with shuffling hats, and "Chunchuneo" gets locked into an insistent rhythmic chug that it's tough to resist.

Review: In the lead up to Caribou's soon to be released Our Love album, the band's frontman Daniel Snaith, aka Daphni, has pressed up the title track of the LP for a release on his own Jiaolong label. It's the second taste Caribou fans will have had of the album's lead cut and there's reason to be excited, especially if bouncy basslines are your thing. For this release Snaith includes his own remix as Daphni which is tailored for the club; basslines are doubled up and so are the vocals, while extra percussion is added, with the overall mood of the remix deeper than the original.

Review: Ahead of his massively popular third album under the Caribou alias, Dan Snaith was quite generous in his praise for James Holden and regularly explained in interviews how Swim was influenced musically by the music on his Border Community imprint. It's seems natural then that Holden would be called on to provide a remix of "Bowls" which is quite rightly bound to get draped in words such as epic, grandiose and colossal. Taking up nearly all the blackness on the B Side, Holden crafts an 11 minute reimagination which rivals his legendary Nathan Fake remix for all round awesomeness. Taking elements of the already distinctive original, Holden twists and moulds them into a kaleidoscopic pattern of sounds which transcends genre pigeon holing.
