On Side-2, 'KAH' taps into classic electro-funk, nodding to Kraftwerk with its analogue warmth and robotic charm. The track's playful basslines and crisp percussion create an infectious groove that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Rounding out the EP is 'Motor', a dynamic blend of crunchy acid lines and robotic funk. It captures a futuristic yet retro electro vibe, balancing gritty textures with sleek, forward-thinking rhythms. Review: Norm Talley's Detroit label Upstairs Asylum comes through with another various artists gem here: Gari Romalis kick off with the sort of smoky house depths you always expect from this imprint. 'Electronix (I'm Ya Dancer)' is dubbed out but dynamic, then G Major's 'Metro To Downtown' brings an injection of soul warmth and percussive looseness. Chuck Daniels & Hazmat Live's 'I Want You' is a darker, more heads down affair with freaky vocals and digital synth patterns over gritty, US garage styled low ends. Max Watts then cuts loose with the undulating dub techno depths of 'Velocity' to round out a varied EP.

Review: Detroit alum Max Watts teams up with fellow Tampa arriviste Keeno18 for a contemporary slice of noir dance legitness. Taking a premixture of dub and minimal techno as their starting point, both artists prove unafraid of gobby sound. Watts' 'Dusk' makes good use of tuned-up doumbek and Keeno's 'Undying Prophecy' alloys his rainsoak-synths with a run-your-mouth yawp line; a lead that emulates humanoid vowel sounds, with the cheekiest of intents.
