We can think of few more qualified to remix Gemini's tasty, jazz-flecked Chicago jacker "How Can I" - first released back in 1999 on Cyclo's legendary Revolutions compilation - than Richard Sen. His knowledge of classic Chicago house is up with the best of them, and he duly puts that to good use on two tidy reworks. Both replace the original's low-slung jazz bass sample with a tougher, wonkier, acid-inspired bassline, throwing in undulating TB-303 lines, wonky electronics and snappy drum machine percussion. Of the two new interpretations, it's the slightly more sparse Old School Mix - an altogether rougher, raw revision - that's arguably the highlight. Gemini's brilliant original version is also included.
