Review: In a way, we're not surprised they're "from the vaults"... if they were from the filing cabinet or the bumbag, they'd be a bit less interesting, wouldn't they? German ingenues 8bit Records top up a well-seasoned saga of releases started in 2004 with Gorge's (Peter Waldmann's) first volume of formerly passkey-clasped goodies, now letting out some of the very best by the label co-founder in bona fide tech house style. These were once intended for release, but - perhaps after obtaining fiscal counsel - went to the gold reserve, not the new-in bin. Judging by the hi-tech tricks of 'Summer Ease' and the irrepressible tribal movements of 'Marashi 2.0' with Andre Hommen, we bet Gorge's had to be an ultra-sleek vault, requiring at least a retina scanner or voice activator.
