Review: Those Integral fans out there who indulged in last months 12" sampler for the Integral Select compilation will be like a kid let loose in a sweet shop at the sight of this vinyl edition, which packs four highlights across two slabs as well as gripping the full CD version. Having recently ended a label hiatus, Integral Select should find Artificial Intelligence pair Glenn Herweijer and Zula Warner reclaiming their place amongst D&B label royalty, effectively demonstrating how broad a hold they have on the genre as a style. The two plates feature three fresh remixes of classics from the Integral archives, with Alix Perez taking on Zero T's legendary "Refusal", and the heat continues with a Calibre tweak of Technicolour, Komatic and LSB's collab "Rotary Motion". Lenzman & Redeyes' 2009 liquid jazz anthem "Thieves In The Night" is reworked by Technimatic on the second plate and shares space with Scar's impressive Integral debut "Something From Nothing", a nasty concoction of heavy breaks and dirty funk basslines.
