Over the years, Franck Roger has provided DJs with a lot of expansive, soul-flecked material. He made his name with a brand of deep house that made extensive use of live instrumentation, warm chords and heady melodies. His Home Invasion series, of which is the fourth installment, offers something entirely different: hypnotic and occasionally robust DJ tools designed with late night dancefloors in mind. Of course, there's still plenty of toasty warmth to be found - see the rolling "Deep Theory" and dubby, organ-flecked "Rebound" - but the most striking cuts are those which go tougher and deeper in search of locked-in, groove-heavy thrills (see "Nebula" and "Balance").
