Mass Control vinyl

The Detroit Underground label has truly seen a revival as of late, but it's a good thing they have because they're fast-becoming one of the hottest labels on our shelves. Although they've been going string since the late '90s, they've moulded their sound into more contemporary shades thanks to the help of artists such as Kyle Hall and Kero. For their latest release they've chosen Spanish techno veteran Exium to deliver four abrasive, acid-laced dancefloor numbers. From "True Force" to "Monolith", the mood is gloomy but the sounds are warm and straight out of the mothership, the whole EP sounds like being in the underbelly of a power station in a desolate industrial area. Lovely.
