Review: Assembler Code & Jensen Interceptor are one of electro's most devastating duos right now. Mechatronica welcome them for four more hard hitting jams after their "Vapour Waves" EP on this label got plenty of people talking. These are tunes with an old school feel that will blow up your bass bins and tear apart your tweeters with their mix of low end heaviness and bright melodic patterns. Superbly urgent drum programming sweeps you off your feet and races you through astral skies on "Noise Theory", "Otherwise" has a raggedy-ass broken beat and "Day 1" has a blistering bassline of the highest order.

Review: LFT returns to Mechatronica with a five-track blistering of electro of relentless fervour. Boldly shaped and informed by various drum machines and classic samples, the three originals that make up this one's avant- and arriere-gardes come flanked by a razor-edged remix from Imogen and an occult collaboration with Cardinal & Nun. The result is explosive, mixing the sonic aesthetic of electro with the structural tendencies of techno and booty bass.

Review: Slovenian producer Zeta Reticula (Uros Umek) collides with fellow floor electro-lighter Helga Neuer (Damjan Bizilj) across four galaxy-crossing searers. Though the latter artist is a relative newcomer on what could reasonably be called the Eastern European electro mesh network, both have nonetheless already enjoyed a dual release on Berlin label Mechatronica, smushing the competition with the piezo-powered hydraulic press, 'I Am Mensch' (2022). Now they return phoenix-stylee with 'Firebird', whose title track trails bolide fireballs behind its fizzling arps, and whose later tracks carry a ridiculous energetic half-life, 'Distress Signal' and 'Investigate The Signal' seeming to logging the same inspirant radio burst at different frequencies.

Review: A quick piping of ultrafast space-techno comes as a six-track aural electro-techno drip, courtesy of Berlin's Mechatronica Music. The second in their 'Constellations' series of V/A EPs, this is an exodic exultation, charting top farings from the likes of Umwelt, Ben Pest and Viikatory. Umwelt's opening charge 'Stellar Oscillations' is a warpsped drive back to the retrofuture, with punctured stabs and fractal chord efferents propelling a lengthy trance crissing 'cross the milky way. Pest's 'Shodan' takes a detour, recharging at an interstellar traction substation specialising in sputtery, kilowatted electro. And 'Be Scared Of Clowns' is the titular highlight by Prz & Ori bringing a different spaceship to the same docking bay; it is the comparative Borg cube to the A3's Romulan craft, lessening any residual humanity for a shocking laserdesign B cut.

Review: Vertical67 makes a striking debut on Mechatronica with a powerful lineup of hypnotic, melodic, and darkly futuristic club tracks, weaving through electro, techno, breaks and acid. Each cut on this release pushes boundaries, balancing hard-edged rhythms with entrancing atmospheres that keep the energy high yet immersive. This selection is as much a journey as it is a dancefloor experience, showcasing Vertical67's knack for blending genres into a dystopian yet deeply engaging soundscape.
