Review: Legendary singer-song writer and musician Van Morrison's Now Playing album is one that showcases all of the many different sides to his sounds across a range of great tunes. The tracklist takes in a brilliantly rich mix of soulful ballads, such as 'Sweet Thing' and more careful and introspective tunes like 'Into the Mystic,' alongside some more energetic sounding pieces like the wonderful 'Moondance' and 'Domino.' Blending jazz, soul, and rock influences in ways only he can, Morrison's music always delivers a this album in particular makes for a great ride through his work.

Review: The third studio album by the Northern Irish singer/songwriter. After the commercial failure of his previous album 'Astral Weeks' (1968), Morrison moved to upstate New York with his wife and began writing songs for 'Moondance'. There, he met the musicians that would record the album with him at New York City's A & R Studios in August and September 1969. Features the singles 'Come Running', 'Crazy Love' and 'Moondance'. Originally released in 1993, this live album captures Morrissey's performance at the Paris Zenith on December 22, 1992, during the Your Arsenal tour. eethoven Was Deaf includes a robust tracklisting of 16 songs, blending hits and fan favourites, with highlights including a searing rendition of 'November Spawned a Monster,' Your Arsenal album cuts like 'You're the One for Me, Fatty' and 'The National Front Disco', and the enduring 'Suedehead', his debut solo single. The remastered edition features updated artwork by Morrissey himself.

Review: It was recently Elon Musk who told us that there's a "one in billions" chance that we're not living in a computer simulation right now, and to popularise that theory even more Warner presents Muse at arguably their biggest. It's the mega-band's follow-up to their 2015 Drones LP and Nostradamus-like themes are once again at play in the subtle neo-anarchist tendencies of Muse's end of the world sound, although this time around electronic, EDM and Tron influences are at the forefront of their production. A distinctly colourful, vibrant and hyperactive listen compared to their last full length, and seemingly light years on from their seminal 2001 album, Origin Of Symmetry, Muse send us streaming into a new void that's as exhilarating and it is terrifying.

Review: Somehow summoning the chutzpah and spirit to go bigger-better-faster-more on each one of their albums thus far, Muse here dish out another feverish, histrionic and mightily compelling collection of widescreen art-rock stompers. With the help of none other than 'Mutt' Lange in the producer's chair, the Teignmouth three-piece make a record with an epic scope and grandstanding aplomb that could put it in the ring with any of the stadium acts he's worked with in times of yore. With an anti-war theme surrounding ditties that loom large in the imagination, 'Drones' is another bold step for this unlikely trio.

Review: Originally released in 2004 as their sophomore full-length, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge would change both the career trajectory of New Jersey goth-punks My Chemical Romance whilst simultaneously turning the genre on its head with its unique fusion of macabre Misfits and Alkaline Trio worship married to the stadium-sized hooks and melodies of Blink-182 and Green Day. While it would be 2006's follow up The Black Parade that would turn the band to alt rock giants, it all started here with the iconic pop-punk banger and hit single 'I'm Not Okay (I Promise)', whilst later singles 'Helena' and 'The Ghost Of You' highlighted their expansive melding of emo, post-hardcore and punk rock, elevated by vocalist/lyricist/graphic novel illustrator Gerard Way's uniquely grim vision and Billy Borgan-esque vocal cadences. Certified Platinum less than a year after initial release, and selling 3 million copies in the US alone, this new deluxe edition features an entirely new remix plus four previously unreleased live recordings.
