Review: Cleveland-born, Brooklyn-based songwriter Max Clarke is the man behind the Cut Worms alias. This is his third album and first no three years. Next to his own bandmates John Andrews on keys, Keven Louis Lareau on bass, and Noah Bond on drums, he has enlisted guests Brian & Michael D?Addorio of The Lemon Twigs and Rick Spataro of Florist and aimed to pare down his songs and say only what he thought was most essential, asking himself in the process "How much can I say and give in a limited amount of time?" The answer is a lot with the likes of the murder ballad 'Ballad of the Texas King' a real highlight.
