Silver Surfer Ghost Rider Go!!! vinyl

Denmark's premier electronic export Trentemoller indulges his inner rockabilly with the organ heavy 60s psychedelia twisted for a modern generation of "Silver Surfer Ghost Rider Go!" which comes beefed by remixes from Anders himself, along with the modern day king of rockabilly Sir A Weatherall and Danish dubsteppers Lulu Rouge. Distinctive live drums dipped in processed effects drive the original version amidst an increasing fog of eccentric synth lines and fuzzed out guitar riffs. Trentemoller's remix, which precedes the original in the tracklisting for some reason, fuses an arpeggiating electronic thrust with freaked out screams, devilish drum rolls and overtly psychedelic organ stabs. Not to be outdone, the opposing "Prinz" remix from Weatherall impresses just as much as you'd expect, sounding very much like a studio off cut from the recent and underrated Two Lone Swordsmen material. There's a real thump to the percussion which is complemented by a surfeit of awe inspiring echoes, delays and filters which reverberate throughout. Lulu Rouge's final transformation of the track into a stuttering raw minimalist half stepper filled with simmering drama and schizoid bass frequencies might seem incongruous, or a token dubstep presence depending on how cynical your nature is, but there's a degree of excellence to how it's pulled off that can't be dismissed.
