Kojak Giant Sounds has long been a reliable source of high quality, disco-themed reworks. Here, the Finland-based outfit welcomes one of the scene's most admired crate diggers and re-editors, Red Greg, to the label for the very first time. He's in fine form; first serving up the punchy, horn tooting, Latin-tinged, two-step disco-boogie of "Love Break", where a catchy female vocal rides a sumptuously warm and rich backing track. Over on side B, the dusty-fingered digger has his way with "Breakin'", a tropical disco cut from the Caribbean full of ear-catching bass guitar, bold horn lines, clipped guitars and eyes-closed electric piano solos.
