New styles from the Pretension camp, following up from the awesome EPs by Justin Maxwell and The Diskchordians. Fresh from a trip back to Chicago, 1987, Jon (Bass Kittens) & Miguel (Single Cell Orchestra) laid down a track drawing on their love of acid house. Never leaving behind the stomp of pure acid, they added modern DSP trickery to produce a track that simultaneously pays homage to their roots while looking to the future. A layer of acid-inspired vocals from Mariette Marinus & MC Silly B Chill completes the picture. Kinda like Abe Duques' 303 excursions but with more of an electro edge.
