The Canvas Stereo is a Direct Box/LIne Isolator designed to remove any resistance between you and your audience by giving a pristine, sonic foundation to build your stereo masterpiece upon. From houses of worship to the dive bar downtown, Canvas Stereo is built to be the performance tool that goes wherever you are making your music.

Canvas Stereo is a Passive Line Isolator (LI) and Direct Injection (DI) device that converts your unbalanced signals into balanced signals for interfacing properly with your recording interface or mixer at front-of-house. If you're using an amp-in-a-box (DSP Guitar Rig), like our ACS1, keyboards, or any other instrument utilizing both left and right outputs, then the Canvas Stereo is your new bridge to the front-of-house. The Canvas Series DIs pack everything you need from a DI/LI into a standard pedal-sized enclosure designed to look great right on top of your board.

Direct Injection:
Use DI mode when connecting an unbalanced, high impedance source (Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, etc). The signal will be reduced by -20dB (-35dB with pad engaged) and converted to a balanced signal via the transformer connected to the XLR output. Use the gain on your mixer or preamp to bring up to line level.

Line Isolator:
Use the LI when needing to connect your unbalanced, low impedance source (Amp + Cab Sim like the ACS1, keys, etc.). The signals will remain full volume and be converted to balanced signals via the transformer connected to the XLR output. Less preamp gain will be required in LI.

DI or LI?
When deciding between DI or LI, check with the manufacturer of your gear to find the output impedance of the device you are wanting to interface. For a general guide:High Impedance = anything above 1k = Use DILow Impedance = less than 1k = Use LI .

Troubleshooting:
This is a passive device, so you will not damage anything if connected improperly, but it could affect the signal level and frequency response if not connected properly. This is an easy thing to test since the LI/DI switch is built into Canvas. If you lose high-frequency information when using LI mode, then you should probably be in DI mode.

Due to its active architecture, inputs retain their full integrity as they are copied to multiple destinations. One input signal can be copied to six outputs, or two inputs can be copied to three outputs each. The Buff is especially great for splitting pitch or audio signals where signal integrity is critical. Notes: Clk is a voltage controlled clock generator with all the features a master clock needs. It has an extremely wide range from ten seconds between pulses well into audio rate. In addition, the pause button and CV input provide an expressive feature that is all too often missing in a modular setup. Stop using LFOs or other modulation sources for your master clock, and let Clk do what it's best at.

Notes: Delay is a flexible, full-featured delay audio processor. CV over all parameters provides dynamic access to its nuanced controls. The feedback path ranges from slapback to infinity, allowing for wild permutations of the original signal.

With delay times from milliseconds to nearly two seconds, Delay is sure to find a use in every patching situation. Add subtle echo to a melodic line, or crank up the feedback and hear a bed of layered sounds to bury your listeners in.

Notes: Euclid is a rhythmic pattern generator based on ideas originally presented by Euclid, the Greek mathematician. The Euclidean algorithm can be adapted to create rhythms by taking the total number of active steps in a sequence, and then distributing them across the entirety of the pattern.

At its core are three unique sound sources made up of six oscillators, a noise generator, and a number of filters. Sizzle affects each source independently, adjusting oscillator and filter frequencies, allowing for a broad range of sounds. In addition, separate trigger inputs for open and closed allow for a complete hi-hat pattern on a single module. The Catalyst Controller is a macro controller with eight precision CV outputs and a responsive crossfader to morph between scenes. A scene is a snapshot of up to eight CV outputs, like a modular preset. Traverse a "pathway" composed of multiple scenes using the crossfader or an external CV signal, or immediately jump using the scene buttons. Record CV and slider movements, and play recordings back via a button or external trigger.

Each output has sub-millivolt precision and a maximum range of -5V to +10V. Channels have an adjustable morphing curve, can be quantized to common scales, restricted to a particular voltage range, or set to output gates.
